You might want to double check to see if you turned off the icons in game. I remembered the first time I accidentally turned them off, such a useless ability and very confusing too.

Keep an eye out in the mods section. I would not be surprised if someone revives it, and thankfully the mod community is much more dependable than wildcard....With that said, I think we should wait till aberration pops up, the island should be less buggy by then although with that said, I do hope the mod community does a bit more.....remember the "ruins" of different castles and such in the mod maps? Like on Lost Island, or Fjordor? Id love to be able to fix those houses/churches/and the blacksmith shop with some extra benefits. Fix up a house, free running water. Fix up a church, faster hatching speed. Fix up the furnace, smelts 2x faster than primitive. Fix up smithy, holds exta 100 resources.......But this topic will probably be moved soon, so no one will get to see it and think of ideas like these. v.v

I bought a brand new series x, 2 terrabyte SSD, and a new headset. Granted, I am obviousely useing it for more than just Ark ascended, however I can assure you, IT WAS A WASTE OF $900!!!!!

Best way to tame a theri with a crossbow is a trap.....you can put a "large" bear trap down, anger the theri, have it walk over your trap, and then you can place 4 stone dino gateways around it to keep it in place while you tranq it out. Got to be quick about it tho as the large bear trap "breaks" in 10 seconds. Which can feel very quick if your not fast enough. Another idea is to use three or four pillars stacked straight up, a ceiling tile ontop of the pillars, and finally a couple of ladders to the top to climb up. Find your target, build the pillar setup, and then shoot tranqs down upon your target. It will try to come over to you and slap you around, but if your high up enough, he won't be able to reach you. Be aware tho, if you do this, there is a strong chance that the theri will "fear run" when they realize they can't hit you. Unlike torpor run, they will turn around and start attacking you again if you give chase. Just let them have a moment to think about things, and they will come back to try and attack you again. Last but not least, don't forget to bring a BUNCH of narcotics or a decent berry harvesting tame to gather plentiful amounts of narco berries after the theri is knocked out. They wake up VERY quickly. I would also advise to try and use kibble. On official rates, a lvl 140 took me 8 hours for mejo's. x.x

I can't even get a game to start, Iv tried multiple times even after a hard uninstall and reinstall.

I was thinking about some of the mods they made for fallout 4. Removed grass, lower resolution, clouds. ect. ect.

in evolved, I allways had some super high fortitude and it seemed like I was always overheating, which was weird cause other than the hard ice cave, I never was cold. Best advice is ghille is your freind.

I got a feeling many of the buttons in the game are just there for looks......I keep trying to deleat myisland save, yet it seems that I never go through the character creation process or see the island cinematic when I "try" to start ascended again. In fact, Im wondering how many of the settings actually work to begin with

Can you guys cook up a "FPS improvement mod"? Specifically to up the frame rate on older PC systems and console users? Those of us who can't get into the ini files or change settings that don't exist because of being stuck with what we are spoon fed, would love to have the ability to adjust performance over graphics.

Yes, however I "think" they also have a limit on how high the quality goes.....Best I have ever found was a journeyman, it had low quality, but the durability was top notch!

a tek rod sounds like a good thing.......it has a better chance at getting extreamly hard to find blueprints, but at the cost of them all being much lower quality?

I have attempted to catch such a fish as well in evolved, had to completely clean all the other fish out and then had to wait an EXTRA long time, it finally took the bait and something happened right at the end where it got off {I thought maybe the timer expired on trying to catch it, but maybe not} This went on 3 more times, on the fourth attempt at reeling it in, I noticed I still had 3 secounds left and I should have caught it, but the line broke just like the other times and this time the fish was out of the water so it instantly died and despawned...... 2.5 is the max, I think there is a soft lock on how many times you can "reel" the fish in before it instantly cuts the line

I am now dealing with crashes that cause the entire console to shut down. IS ANYONE ELSE EVEN ABLE TO PLAY THE GAME ON THEIR XBOX OR AM I THE ONLY ONE NOT USEING A COMPUTER???? hello out there? o.o

@GP Im going to say you was indeed correct, and apparently the timing of said question was heard by the gaming gods as my version was updated to 31.36 just yesterday. XD However still having issues. Thanks tho!

Iv already done all that I possible could do a couple years ago. Open port selection, demilitarized settings, tried to adjust my NAT......you name it, I worked it, absolutely nothing changed......well cept I had to restart with default settings due to some terrible latency. Long story short, its the fact that Im on a cell phone network as there was dozens if not hundreds of complaints filed about it being an issue on steam. Anyone using a hotspot device, even though they could play other online games, could not play ark specifically. Something about cell phone companies using a different kind of DNS or something? The only true work around was paying for a VPN and thats a hard no thanks from me just to get a game working.

So I just noticed that my xbox version of ark is 31.17, but supposedly the clients on pc/servers are much more updated? Most servers I see are listed well into the 31.26-28 but PC clients and servers are into the 31.33-34 versions? Is my version outdated or something?

Allright guys, I need your help. Im currently in the middle of uninstalling and reinstalling ark on my xbox series x, but the crashing is absolutely out of control. I can get past the intro movie of the A ascending, I have no problems scrolling around in the main menu, and I have no problem messing with the settings in the main menu. I can then pick "join game" or "create" to start a single player run through and still no problems, but as soon as I attempt to join a server or start a single player run through, the chance of the game crashing goes to 100% The furthest I have made it so far is my character scratching his arm........thats it. I have not been able to actually play the game. Is there a fix in the settings I can make? Is my problem unique and no one else has it? Yep, new series x, same old problem. Although Im on the ATT hotspot they call "Blackhawk"? Its a bit of an older hot spot device tho, but the price is right. $25 a month, unlimited data. 100 mbs per secound It seems I can get into unofficial servers, but official is an absolute no go......well at least I think I can. Right now I cannot get past crashing. The most I have been able to do right now is see my arm before the game crash's.

I get the same thing, but this was a problem before ASA.....it has to do with ark being anti cell phone network freindly. No hot spots allowed. =/
