  1. Common name: Monolophosaurus Species: Monolophosaurus Illustratus Time: Middle Jurassic Diet: Carnivore and charge light Temperament: Opportunistic Wild Monolophosaurus Illustratus is an opportunistic predator found near sources of charge light. This aberrant version of Monolophosaurus is not identical to Monolophosaurus Jiangi, to a greater extent than the other creatures found on this ark. Its crest is highly affected by the element in the soil, mutating it to be roughly 2.5x its usual size meanwhile it has almost completely lost its sense of sight. Beware of patrolling this ark at night, for Monolophosaurus hunts via echolocation and is not affected by the lack of light. If you want any chance of survival, keep your sources of charge light off when near Monolophosaurus as despite its partial blindness, it can still see charge light effectively. However, once you hear its shriek, hiding is futile. Domesticated Domesticating Monolophosaurus Illustratus is a particularly strange endeavor compared to other predators ive seen, but its skills are highly sought out among the strongest of people. It has the ability to enlighten targets using a beam of charge light from its crest, though I havent properly studied the effects of this. Furthermore, its echolocation abilities are capable of turning your hunters into prey in the dark, or perhaps locating a resource or creature of choice when trained properly. Some of our inventors have fashioned a saddle that has a rear mounted charge lantern on it, in which Monolophosaurus is capable of enhancing the weaponized charge light into a high voltage beam that can burn through even the toughest of hides. In order to tame this beast, you'll need to sate its charge light hunger with something concentrated, such as a plant species z fruit. Information: Monolophosaurus has 2 different saddles, a normal one and a rear mounted charge lantern saddle. The latter is used akin to a tek pistol attack mode, though weaker and at a cost of the monolophs stored charge light. Monolophs are capable of eating plant species z fruit to increase their stored charge light, and if need be it can expel this charge light through its mouth for a period of time proportional to its stored charge light. During this period, it burns targets and deals extremely high damage to nameless and reapers, making them viable for ripping through them both. When plant species z fruit is in its inventory, its weight is decreased to 20% of its original value and its spoil time is increased. However, it can also expel the charge light through its crest, which although it does no damage, it can enlighten targets. This attack is then replaced by the charge lantern beam if that saddle is equipped. If you target any dino with this enlightenment beam, its health increases at a slightly faster rate. When targeting your lightpets, it allows them to locate and highlight all dinos above a specified level threshold for a period of time proportional to their emission range. When enlightening a baby, it both heals it slowly and also increases its imprinting. Bigger babies such as a giga or reaper will need more stored charge light to fully imprint. Finally, it can also do a shriek which is used for echolocation. Not only does this create a topographical map of everything around you like a sonar for a moment, but it can also echolocate specific resources for you similar to how a dire wolf would detect explorer notes. You'll also hear this shriek from wild monolophosaurus which means it knows where you are already. Otherwise, stay crouched. Its partial blindness means you are almost invisible to it When wild, it can detect you from great distances if youre near charge light including the charge light of your own activated light pets. To tame monolophosaurus, you need to first flashbang it to distract it by using plant species z fruit. Then, go up to it and feed it a plant species z fruit. Repeat this process until its tamed.
  2. Yeah but when you tame this your gonna be able to latch on rexes (I suppose) and shred them, I doubt they will be able to easily pounce you just wait until they are far enough from the nest, snag a few and run of with a galli or iguanadon. Now you have a new and Improved raptor. Also if this raptor stays on a tame or the player forever it would be nerfed like hell like the mana
  3. Gimme I already love Raptors (2nd fav) and now with this WOAH I Need this Just a question: with the nests will they have specific spots like the wyvern and drakes or just random, I could see a few nests on a new paid or free dlc in mid to easy zones
