With all the servers shutting down and saving of Ark characters... does the same rule of pve to pve and vice versa still apply?? or will it matter??

I would love to see the mods steam has be usable for consoles... i wanna try the play as a dino mod but i DONT want to spend more money just to play the same game i already have on pc too
