  1. I’ve played every version, including mobile and Switch. The only time I haven’t experienced major problems is with a $4k+ PC. I’m not suggesting that Abstraction isn’t getting the short-end of the stick. What I am saying is that WC isn’t telling Abstraction anything because they have no certainty, and anyone familiar with business knows you can’t go around discussing negotiations with anyone outside. Not to diminish Abstraction’s role, but it’s the same as not telling your landscaping company about what’s going on with a property you are renting. These types of negotiations are confidential and Abstraction isn’t a part of the NDAs, nor should they be at that level. I agree, it’s no good for the players or the developer teams that could provide solutions, but I also understand that WC isn’t going to put more funding into a project for a Nintendo version if certain conditions aren’t met.
  2. Only thing is, WC and Nintendo can’t come to an agreement. Big part ofthe problem is hardware. WC can’t really tell Abstraction anything until the “parents” get there stuff worked out, and WC isn’t going to make consolations if Nintendo won’t upgrade hardware.
  3. Perhaps not completely on topic, but does anyone know why the chatbox location was moved? The popup keyboard on Xbox completely covers it, and the chatbox still moves to the middle, covering up stats when in inventories. It seems to be in two of the worst possible places it could be. Was this a ‘fix’ for PC or something, because all it’s accomplished on console is redundant conversations and out of order responses that quickly spiral into confusion? The upper left corner seemed to be the best possible place for it. I only wish it would move to the lower left, instead of the middle, when accessing inventories. Can anyone enlighten me as to who was asking for it or was helped by it being moved? So frustrating now...
  4. I noticed that as well, but didn’t say anything because I’m hoping they fix the imprint timers and chatbox location first. For cryos, you can just add an M or F to the name, no problem. Right now, I’m wondering if this entire event is going to be a waste of time because everything we’ve saved an egg for was counting on a 100% imprint and with the event some dinos would mature with ZERO chance to imprint. It’s really lame we’ll have to wait until it’s over to breed if we want the imprints, and finding the evolution event won’t happen makes thebox of chocolates a slap in the face. Worst event EVER!
  5. I think the post has been edited, because I would swear the evolution event was mentioned before. No sign of it now. It appears there won’t be, and that does it for me. Now I wish they hadn’t done a V-day event at all, because it’s ruined the imprints and so much for my taming plans for the weekend. They really need an emergency patch to fix the imprint and should extend the event for a time equal to the amount of time until it’s fixed. I can’t believe we’re not seeing more complaints here. My server’s global chat is nothing but people complaining as they find out their imprints are ruined. Of course, you can’t really read them on Xbox because the keyboard covers up the chat.
  6. Yeah, I didn’t realize how bad the imprint would suffer. I raised a couple test dinos yesterday, thinking the imprint might work out in the 8 hours it takes, but it doesn’t. Thought maybe it would be more effective for the event, but it’s the same meaning 100% is impossible, not to mention; some dinos reach adulthood with ZERO opportunity to imprint. Unfortunately, we would have been better off with no event. Really disappointing because the only time we are really able to breed is during an event like this. Now, we’re going to have to wait for the breeding event to be over before breeding anything else. How’s that for irony?
  7. Being able to mate dinos without setting to wander is the best thing since cryopods! The ammo stacking amount is also a nice surprise, and showing the stats on pods brings cryo closer to perfection. As far as the chatbox relocation goes, I hope it gets reversed pretty soon because it’s in the worst place for Xbox users. Also, hoping the imprint timer gets an update before the weekend or I’ll pretty much miss out on the advantages of the breeding event. Overall, I really like the update except the new chatbox location. Keep up the good work and upkeep it to work good.
  8. I’m having the same problem. I think being able to choose the location of the chatbox is a great idea and should be added to the settings options. Personally, I think something more like a rss feed format would be great, coupled with the choice of having it appear at the top or bottom of the screen.
  9. Items in survivor inventory do not transfer, they are dropped in a pack when the character is transferred. In order to transfer items, they must be individually uploaded to the data tab (not tribute).
  10. Spyglass crosshairs are not appearing for me either (Xbox). I’m not sure but I think keybinding is for players using keyboards.
  11. Anyone have an idea why bolas only work intermittently on Extinction, but seem fine on every other map? What’s so different that could be causing it?
  12. So... Looking at the new kibble recipes, what do I do with all this prime jerky I’ve been making?
  13. Glad to see the kibble rework use ingredients obtainable on any map, but still would have preferred if the augmented kibs were just added to the existing kibble tree with additional tame levels awarded over the current. Going forward it would be nice if some other uses for beer were added, and I still think the archeopteryx needs more TLC than any other. Can’t wait for the S+ update on Xbox!
  14. It’s a matter of time and productivity. Larger tribes jump on island servers long enough to feed and that’s about it. Why would they waste time trading in cryo when that time is more wisely and profitably spent obtaining element and high-powered gear from drops? Could they profit from cryo? Sure, but there are dozens of easier and quicker ways to achieve greater profits, hence the reality that larger tribes aren’t wasting their time with it. Combined with the fact they are not as present on island servers, they don’t have to deal with the server lag they aren’t even spending much time on. That in turn, results in them not bothering to cryo their own dinos, whereas the AI is dragging and constantly making ‘decisions,’ but they are on Extinction so it’s not their problem. Taking into account your premise that the larger tribes are “doing it wrong,” I would say that approaching a solution to server lag that depends on the ‘correct’ actions of larger tribes is “doing it wrong,” as is clearly evident by the lack of access smaller tribes are experiencing. Moreover, medium and even larger starting tribes aren’t interested in enduring a cost that would be profitable to established tribes, because they are more concerned with grinding out the resources that are necessary for them to obtain tek, and then the cycle repeats. You can argue about it, but it is clearly observable and therefore you qualms are with the current reality and not my “stance.”
  15. Actually, no, it’s not profitable at all. If someone has the ability to craft cryo items it’s unlikely any tribe that lacks the ability to do so has anything they would need. Large tribes have gachas for everything and are mostly concerned with farming element and seldom have time to worry about making cryo for tribes that don’t have anything they need. More often than not, tribes selling cryo are doing it as favor and charity because it’s more inconvenient than profitable.
  16. Yeah, and some people have jobs and can only play on the weekends, and after a year they are still breeding rexes and trying to get all the egg layers they need to kibble tame the dinos they will need for their tiny tribe to beat a boss. Grinding and working toward end game doesn’t mean you automatically get the rewards, and only someone in a large tribe enjoying the benefits and work of others thinks unlocking tek is an easy thing to do. That said, it would make a lot more sense for an item INTENDED TO ALLEVIATE SERVER LAG to be more easily available to tribes that have dozens of sets of egg layers they need in order to reach the “goal” of beating a boss with their tiny tribe. You know, because at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if you have a tribe of 2 or 200, it still takes a lot of tames to get to that point, and giving small tribes that haven’t yet beat a boss the ability to store some of the dinos would benefit EVERYONE on the server.
  17. Better yet, try convincing all the mega-tribes to cryo their unused dinos. I’m still seeing bases on Rag & the island (offline protected) stacked full of dinos, and lag as bad as ever. The only difference is they log on for long enough to check the tek troughs and then head back to extinction. Most tribes that can make cryo items aren’t really using them and players that want to use them can’t get them easy enough.
  18. I have 3 fridges, almost all of which are full. However, other players on the server are asking for pods & fridge almost everyday, and no one is responding. It’s just too much a hassle and players that don’t have element don’t really have anything a large tribe with gachas even needs. Besides, players shouldn’t have to rely so heavily on large tribes for something intended to alleviate server lag.
  19. The augmented kibble is a hassle, at the moment. Right now, I have the ingredients to make any kibble I have an egg for. If they implemented the new kibble system and made it impossible to craft the old kibble, I wouldn’t be able to kibble-tame anything. The augmented kibble requires additional resources that I only have on Extinction, and given the extra work required, I haven’t used the augmented kibble on anything on that map either. I use the alternative kibbles already available, or mutton when that’s not an option. Also, transferring anything (in or out) of Aberration is so inconvenient, it would basically ruin that map completely. I’m lucky to even find one dust gacha, and I don’t want to have to send it to a map that won’t even let me have an owl there. I would also like to know if I can use red & blue gems for the augmented kibble. I know that you can use red & blue sap in the place of gems, but does it work the other way? It was already a major disappointment to require the replicator to craft the cryofridge and pods, which is keeping a lot of players from alleviating server lag for lack of access on some servers. Taking away the current kibble system would be crippling for new players and a major setback for existing players that will then have to waste extra time obtaining the rare or non-existent resources the augmented kibble requires. Just keep the old kibble and add the new, what’s the problem with that?
  20. Wait... “old kibble will no longer be craftable?!?” Why not? I’m really not happy about having to turn all my stored eggs into kibble before the rework. I like the ADDITION of the new kibbles, I don’t like the idea of taking the old kibble away. Besides, where do players on the island, scorched, ragnarok and the center get dust, red & blue sap? Please keep the old kibble recipes and just add the new ones. Btw, if you’re looking for a dino that desperately NEEDS TLC it’s the Archaeopteryx. That thing is pointless. Why not make it carryable (like the microraptor) and deployable like the parachute?
