  1. Yeah, I know. That information is readily available. What I want to know is if the old kibbles work to tame the dinos the old kibble was designated for, like the way they still worked in the beta if you had them premade. I’m wondering if they totally screwed us or just mostly. It’s okay to not know something, and also okay to say you don’t know, but thanks anyway.
  2. What I am wondering is if I have dilo kibble, for instance, will it still work to tame an anky or doed? Most of our allo eggs were not cooked into kibble yet, for example, but we did have a few premade. We’ve been saving eggs a while now in hopes of being able to go to Ragnarok and tame some griffins. We might have enough for one, but if the old kibble that is already made doesn’t work, we won’t even be able to get one. This already sets us back significantly because I don’t see us having any chance of making the RIDICULOUS kibble recipe they changed it to, so what we have is probably all we will have, and I’m about done with this game.
  3. Wait, what?!? Are you sure? You mean the kibbles we did already have made can’t even be used to tame what they were for before? Is there somewhere this is mentioned officially? If this is true, we are even worse off now than I thought. WC really hurt us with this one.
  4. Not sure how you’ve escaped the lag, because every server I play on is freeze, lag, freeze, lag, but glad it didn’t degrade your experience. As far as kibble goes, it might be an improvement for newer players, but players that have been longtime supporters and worked a hard long time to build up to being able to tame something like a griffin, rock elemental or max level thyla, for instance, just had all our time and effort flushed down the drain. We literally have hundreds of eggs to tame things we no longer need or want, but NOT ONE for the things we were saving up for. If they had just given reasonable notice and posted the final recipes ahead, we wouldn’t have lost so much. The way they did it, we might as well have just been wiped because I don’t have motivation to start completely over when it took so long to get what we HAD.
  5. Tried swimming a hesperornis for golden eggs, and after an hour and 5 normal eggs, I got one golden egg, just to realize you also have to be lucky enough to find an ovis (one of the rarest creatures on the island) on top of having a supply of honey. What a complete joke. Going through my egg supply, the level of devaluation that WC forced on me WITHOUT any reasonable amount of notice, changing the recipes last minute, and setting me back significantly I’m really feeling this game is going DOWNHILL fast and Wildcard doesn’t care about their players or the time they’ve put into the game. My tribe has just recently gotten to the point that we are starting to get to “endgame” level, but it feels more like GAME OVER, because after all the time it took to be prepared to get the tames we want, it just feels like a waste of time to have to start completely over. Thanks a lot for ruining all my time and effort Wildcard. Atlas is a stupid game and you’re ruining the best game you’ll ever make, and you might as well change your name to Bethesda. Really wish you guys would get your head out of your... P.S. Just found out we have to do the bosses over again to unlock the new tek engrams too. Really feels like you guys want people to quit playing out of frustration.
  6. It seems Aberration always gets the least amount of love. You can’t even take owls there, which efficient gacha production is reliant upon. They really slapped everyone in the face that has been playing for a while and saving specific eggs for difficult tames. Before this update, we had eggs to make kibble for virtually every creature except Yuty, because the golden egg mechanic is ridiculous and unnecessarily difficult. Now, we are set back because they just DOWNGRADED our egg supply so much and without giving any reasonable amount of notice. We will probably not ever be able to tame a crab, griffin, thyla or rock elemental again or for the first time in some cases. The original kibble tree was logical, fit the progression of the game and was appropriate or the difficulty and type of tame. The new kibble system looks like it was a draft that was rightfully rejected for its foolishness. This is the most regressive update I’ve seen on Ark. The game LAGS even worse ever since they decided to make the game worse with this last update. The only hope that is left is the possibility that this update was really just a disgruntled employee sabotaging the game, and that it will eventually be fixed returning it to its previous playable state. Stop turning your game into a dumpster fire Wildcard.
  7. Oh, that is intentional. The most recent patch was intended to frustrate players and make the game less enjoyable. Everything is going as planned.
  8. Titanoboa were supposed to lay “special” eggs, which makes sense because they have a low egg laying frequency and are not common tames among players due to the cost of fertilized eggs. Apparently, WC decided to change things last minute and barely give players enough time to save their eggs from a significant devaluation. If you have Allo, Turtle, Titanoboa or Mantis eggs, they might be worthless if you were saving them for specific creatures. #PirateGamesAreLame
  9. Fence railing is not snapping to sloped walls or sloped roof pieces correctly. ...and NO THANKS for downgrading my Allo, Turtle, Titanoboa and Mantis eggs with hardly any notice, not to mention; removing Titanoboa from the special egg list. I am not happy with WC and that mess of a post announcing this recent patch. Try giving a week’s notice to prepare next time you’re planning to significantly devalue items it took so long to save up. RAW fish prime, not cooked? Thanks again, for nothing. Do hesperornis even spawn on Extinction, because I’ve never seen one on that map? By the way, all the servers are lagging like Bethesda is running things now. Yeah, that means worse than usual.
  10. Do hesperornis even spawn on Extinction? I’ve been all over that map and never seen one, ever.
  11. Weren’t the titanboa eggs listed as “special” for extraordinary kibble? It’s not anymore.
  12. They have disclosed two separate sets of recipes. Until this update, and perhaps after, the augmented kibbles on Extinction (console) were different than the augmented kibbles on the PC beta and still worked on console. You are assuming the recipes are the same as the beta, which may be. The point is assumptions are useless until verified. We also don’t know for sure if the old kibbles recipes are uncraftable, or if that was only a mechanic for the beta. The fact is, there is a lot we don’t know and all anyone can do is assume. That’s the point, and why they should have given more and better details. It’s why there should have been an announcement a week in advance that listed the official and finalized recipes, and it should have explained whether it would be the same as the beta or if the old recipes would work along side the new. Edit: Has there been a change, because I thought titanboa eggs were “special” for extraordinary kib, but now it might now be.
  13. Glad they did so much for PC. Of course console got nothing, and no word on the final recipes. We still don’t know 100% what they are or if they actually work until someone gets the update and tries them. Would have been nice to have a week to prepare and more details. Instead I may have just got the shaft because I missed one day, and can’t get on before the update to save my eggs from the massive downgrade. For all anyone really knew, we were weeks out before console got the updates.
  14. Can I still make the old recipes? Some word on this please! What are the new recipes? Just realized my mantis eggs won’t work for elementals, to add insult to not being able to use allo kib for griffin. Is this Bethesda?
  15. No one knows for sure because they officially released them, apparently (or maybe) replacing the old kibble without even posting ehat the new recipes are? Last I heard the beta was still going. Now, I find out the beta is over and here comes theupdate at the same time. Had a really good couple of weeks on Ark, now could be the worst ever.
  16. Throw stone on the ground in front ofthe babies, they ignore weight to pick it up. Feed them stone only and keep baby gachas far away from owl pellets, it seems to increase their consumption.
  17. No, seriously! Did all the allo eggs I’ve been saving just become useless to tame a griffin, which is what I was saving them for?!? No warning, no final word or official announcement of what the new kibble recipes would be? They just drop it on us without even saying what the final recipes are and with no time to hurry up and make the kibbles from eggs that are going to be significantly downgraded? Great way to ruin my Tuesday WC! How about some better details and warning? How about some beta servers for console?
  18. Do you have a more reliable source? The wiki varies on accuracy. Are you aware of official info from WC? Otherwise, I’m not interested.
  19. I really hope you are just speculating about the old kibble recipes not working. Otherwise my egg inventory just recieved a massive downgrade and I am NOT HAPPY.
  20. Love that S+ is here, but not so sure about the kibble... really would have liked more warning and time to prepare... and what are the final recipes? Are they the same recipes that essentially render all my prime jerky useless for kibble? Do the old kibble recipes still work? Do the already made kibbles still work and what about imprints? Also, it says “Characters can be respeced once every 24 hours.” Is this the same as unlimited respecs, limited to 24 hr increments, or is it also limited to one respec per level? For instance, I literally just respeced a character on official yesterday. Does this mean I can respec again 24 hrs after I last respeced without leveling up again, or does it mean I would have to wait 24 hrs to respec again, even if I level up before that time has passed? P.S. Is beer still useless for anything besides taming chali?
  21. I feel like meshing is just a part of the game, at this point, and they should just allow it so that PvP players can appropriately guard against it by meshing defenses. It’s obviously a difficult problem to fix, and frankly I’d prefer if they stopped messing with it—which creates new problems—just to appease whinny PvP players.
  22. Yes, we have. What platform are you on, because it is not appearing in the way you describe on console (Xbox)? Gachas in cryo display all stats except crafting skill.
  23. Looking forward to S+, but still not too keen on the new kibble system. I’m really hoping that the old kibbles are kept in place as an option, with the new recipes being added. Now that tek dinos drop dust, it should be easier to apply unique recipes that do not conflict with the old. It would be nice if more uses for beer were also added, because once a Chali is tamed it’s basically useless. Maybe it would be a good ingredient for the highest tier of the kibble tree, and bring back the birthday cake? On another note, what’s in the works for TLC? The archaeopteryx could use some love, and I’m still not having any luck getting the gigantopithecus to gather fiber on wander. Lastly, I noticed the pods still do not display gender, nor is the crafting skill stat for the gachas shown.
  24. You can upload your character to transfer at an obelisk. However, beware that Aberration can be an extremely difficult map to transfer out of, because the obelisks are in the harshest environments and are surrounded by deadly creatures. I’ve known several players that had a character stuck on Aberration for days, if not, weeks. There is no shame in enabling creative mode and spawning in a Tek Transmitter and some element to exit that map. Note: Any items you wish to transfer must be uploaded one at a time to the data tab, NOT THE TRIBUTE. Any items still in your inventory when you transfer will be dropped and lost.
  25. I totally get where you’re coming from, but an announcement from WC explaining that they don’t know the future for Switch isn’t going to get you anything you don’t already have. It’s not just a matter of non-disclosures either, because you don’t go around making statements about negotiations before anything is finalized when one side or the other can completely change their mind and suddenly invalidate anything said public. Misinformation is always worse than silence, just ask Bethesda. Moreover, and nothing personal, but it’s also unprofessional to hijack and derail a thread to go on a rant about a company being appropriately cautious about making statements concerning confidential discussions of uncertainty. Frankly, if I were representing either or any side, I would avoid contact with anyone engaging in that type of conduct. Nevertheless, I am sorry you don’t know the future of Ark for Switch. Personally, I don’t think they should have ever bothered with porting to the platform at all. Currently, my primary concern is getting that d**n CHATBOX moved back to the previous location on console, and all this focus on an obviously novice ‘journalist’ trying to make a name for themself is a distraction from simpler more feasible improvements to the game, in general.
