  2. ....and the pvp crowd on Ark is the most emotionally stunted, toxic, foul-mouthed aggressive children I have ever played a game with. I have never met a group of gamers that logged on with the sole intention of causing frustration and loss to fellow gamers. Pvp is about competition, not about preventing other people from playing the game and verbally abusing them while you repeatedly force respawn timers and call them racial slurs. When I asked them to politely give me some breathing room to at least progress to metal tools I was not only killed but incapacitated over and over to simply waste my time. When my old ass is dead and gone and these children inherit the adult world I pity them if their real world trappings even remotely resemble the abhorrent behavior and attitudes they display in video games.

  5. Welcome back sunken survivors! The past two weeks have really flown by for us! No, seriously, why is 2024 moving so quickly? I swear it was just January last week. Unfortunately, the speed of the past fortnight has caused most of the TSW team to be caught up in a ton of real life stuff. There's still plenty to share with you, just no fancy new pictures to show off. However, we've got a ton of fun stuff coming soon! Read on to find out what's coming next to the ASA branch of the mod, learn about the AMA we're hosting and see the behind the scenes development of Henodus! If this is your first time diving into the deep end, we are a dedicated team of individuals who are looking to spruce up the ocean biome in the same way that Scorched Earth offered a unique, biome specific challenge to survival. New creatures, resources, structures, items and more, all set on a huge custom map, we're looking to give ARK's oceans the TLC they deserve! The main goal is to bridge that huge gap between early and late game ocean exploration, and make it much more viable and more fun to live a life beneath the waves! This is unofficial content and is only related to our mod. It is in no way related with the official game and its content releases. Let's dive into the scoop! WHAT'S NEXT? More creatures. No, seriously. Jokes aside though, the release of Scorched Earth may lead you to believe that the prospect of new TSW creatures is looking a bit dry at the moment, but it's quite the contrary! Snappin is currently working on porting all of our lovely fish from ASE to ASA. Bothriolepis, Lepidotes, Materpiscis and the mean annoying one Saurichthys are coming soon to a body of water near you! And if you're on a desert ARK with barely a drop of water in sight, after the fish have settled into the sea, Protoceratops will be making its debut on Scorched! In less cryptic terms, we're working on porting over the fish first, and once those are done, Protoceratops will be coming to Scorched Earth! Below is an old teaser of the fruit-addicted ceratopsian from ASE's devkit! TSW TEAM'S AMA What's that meant to stand for? Abnormally Massive Anomalocaris? No! That's an Ask Me Anything! Over in our Discord, we've been getting a ton of really engaging questions from the community over the past few weeks, which have been super enjoyable for us to answer! It really means a lot to us seeing how everyone is just as excited as we are for the future of TSW! So, we thought we should open the floor to any burning questions that people have about all the factors that go into TSW. There's a new temporary channel in our discord to ask us about anything from our creature design process to modelling and more! We'll answer everything we can, except for things like ETAs and release dates. Those aren't fun and interesting questions, and come with the curse of ARK release dates. COMMUNITY CORNER In a solar eclipse, people get the chance to witness two planetary bodies align, in an incredibly rare and beautiful event. But a Sunken Scoop with a Community Corner is even rarer! Go check out the fun submissions we've gotten these past two weeks! In addition to the AMA we're hosting, if you have anything else TSW related you'd like to share, feel free to send over some screenshots, artwork/fanart, videos or anything in between! There's a submssions channel in our Discord, or you can tag us @ARKSunken or with the hashtag #sunkenscoop on Twitter! Clips and Videos Creator: DarkEdgeTV DarkEdgeTV is back with another feature, and this time everyone's favourite pancake is getting its time in the spotlight! Make sure to give her Henodus stacking challenge an attempt! That's all for this edition of the Sunken Scoop, thanks for tuning in! Lots more to come in the next few weeks, and please do come over to our discord to ask us those questions! Have a wonderful timezone! If this is your first time seeing TSW, check out the links below to find out more! Please note that if you want to play our mod, you need both the map and creature mod active. 6. I agree. The Island didn't get its own unique voted creature because the Rhynio was added to A.S.E. before they decided to make A.S.A. something separate and then they didn't do a new creature vote for The Island. The Gigaraptor could be The Island's A.S.A. voted creature and we could do a new vote for Rag.
    3 points
  7. Why not? Rag should 100% get a new creature now that the gigaraptor has been used up as WC's bandaid for screwing up the center launch.

  8. Dear Joebl0w13, I apologize, I don't know how to respond directly to you like you did, but I simply wanted to clarify one point. I think you didn't read what I wrote correctly or you didn't understand the meaning of the sentence. I'm not asking to have all the mods for free. On the contrary, prenuim mods are a very good thing. I'm simply saying that it would undoubtedly be preferable and even more profitable for server owners, modders and players to implement the same system that the Bob's Tall Tailes DLC already has by ensuring that players who join a server who owns one or more premium mods does not have to pay to access the server. However, players who do not pay for premium mods will not be able to use the creatures/items from these mods. Exactly the same way as the developers introduced with the Bob's Tall Tailes DLC this will allow the server owner not to lose players and it will allow players to Those who do not buy premium mods from a server could see if premium mods interest them by watching other players who have paid for the mods play.

  10. PLease fix bee spawns on scorched.. we cannot make kibble for decent taming.... also since reporting cheaters on our PVE official scorched with rhynios, gigas and baryonyx met with a resounding "sorry we're not removing those" from your ticket GM's, how about evening the playing field and opening transfers ? We've got constant duping going on now because they know they are getting away with it...

  12. Oh without a doubt lol! From walking a juvenile giga from a friends base that was just about on top of the new swamp cave to the NE side of gigs mountain, escorted by 4 gigas and 5 battle quetzs and spawning the brood mother at the obs when people decided to be tools and built RIGHT ON TOP OF THE OBELISK! Spawn her and let that big green meanie go full on hulk smash lol. Logging into the center for the first time in May 2016 and getting immediately “handled” by mate boosted 150 gigas. That’s enough to humble ya for a hot second when you’re starring at the death screen and it says “you were killed by giganotasaurus- lvl 150”. Especially when we had absolutely ZERO idea WC was going to raise the wild tame level cap lol. I haven’t posted any of the stories on here because I kinda forgot where to do it lol, but oh yeah we had a metric s#$* ton of fun and good times back in old school ark. Yeah I remember hearing something about that. Our favorite thing to see in chat was “it’s pve, you can’t do anything to me!” We could and did we just had to be more creative to accomplish it. With enough time, patience, planning and a little bit of help any tribe could be taken out, but it wasn’t an easy feat once a tribe had a good enough base. I don’t blame em for that perspective, our server we usually only reserved that for the tribes that had no regard for the server or the the people who were there from the start. WC did actually start adding in “no structure zones” shortly after the redwoods were added to the island. The old volcano there were metal smelting platforms all over the rim and the sides of the volcano. Now you can’t place anything above a certain altitude. They did the same with supply drops. People could build a base that would enclose a supply drop, that can’t be done anymore. Also in pve we can not build in caves, that’s been a thing from the start. I remember a certain point in the center that there were some resource spawns that structures couldn’t be placed but that could have been changed. I see both sides of this coin. Yes it would be nice that there be no build zones along rivers and heavy resource spawns, but on the reverse in a way it kinda defeats the point of being a complete sandbox experience to “play how I want to play”. People are greedy and selfish and unfortunately others pay for it. I will say though that a lot of the servers ( i have seen towards the end of ASE and just nicely starting to see it in ASA), people didn’t close off entire portions of the rivers, and if they did they at least built some sort of bridge for others to traverse said area. Now I am sure that some servers are plagued with blocked rivers and beaches that are next to impossible to get around, but as more maps come out it will get better just like it did in ASE. When all of the population is forced to play in “X” number of servers and only one map it gets a little congested. As more maps release the player base will spread out and the bottlenecks and congestion will clear up. I agree. I don’t regret buying ASA, but it seems as if what they were trying to sell to the players wasn’t quite delivered. The big one that comes to mind is cryopods. I called it, along with many others. A month and a half after the release of ASA cryopods we’re back in when they realized (finally, but even a blind man could see it) how bad the server performance was with a 65 people taming and breeding 100 plus creatures a day for a month. I think I said something along the lines of “even the most advanced processors have their breaking points”. When they’re are people who are running some top of the line machines are struggling to get 60 fps with ASA, it wasn’t any wonder why they added cryopods. Many of us said that no cryopods at the start was a BIG mistake. To quote Will Smith in I,Robot…..”sometimes I told you so, just doesn’t quite say it” lol. Last mention of cryos, the range to deploy them is ridiculous in pve. Yeah I get “it makes the game to easy”, well sometimes (and in my case most of the time) it’s got nothing to do with easy it has everything to do with real life time. If ya got only 2 hours to hope on and do some stuff quick and get into a sticky situation (which is just about an everyday occurrence in ARK), ya don’t have time to spend an extra hour trying to rescue your gear, tames or sometimes even base. Whereas yeah a pocket giga doesn’t just save your butt, it saves time and an added 2 hours of frustration when something should have only taken a half hour. I certainly miss the old cryos. Other than that the graphic upgrade is cool, the changes to the maps is pretty nice. They did do a decent job at that. I definitely like the visuals and am excited to see the changes to the maps, especially The Center. That’s map is my favorite, and I hope they bring it up to snuff with the others. It left sooooooo much to offer on the table.

  13. Agree, but every map needs new content. It cant just be the remastered map itself. I personally think youre underestimating Rag. People love it. It's routinely right near the top in favorite map votes and discussions I've seen over the years. WC must be aware of its popularity and it would be a mistake not to capitalize on the hype it'll get. However, Rag is massive. It was unfinished when it first released. The map is varied and its going to take a long time to upgrade. To me its sort of pointless to even speculate about a map thats probably not coming until 2025. With WC, I try to just focus on whats immediately in front of me. Lets hope and pray the Center comes without too much of an additional delay

  21. I agree with most of this. As also a PVE player who started playing this game not long after its release on Xbox, I remember all of these issues. For the most part, PVE was/is more friendly than PVP. Not saying there weren’t servers that were completely run amuck of power hungry “alpha tribes” that had the moto of all for me and none for all, and would block caves and obelisks, fortunately those servers were much fewer than the ones that didn’t do that. After a time most of the servers started naturally developing kind of a community, some were close and some were an uncomfortable tolerance with each other. I don’t know if that ever happened on PVP because I didn’t play and still don’t. I like to play the game to have fun, and to me I’m not having fun when I log in everyday to my base gone and creatures dead, but that’s me and to each their own. I do differ from you in that yeah I deal with nimrod people in real life, I didn’t want to deal with them playing the game. Even on PVE though there were still times when it wasn’t easy to get things done or there was some crap from mother tribe that we had to deal with. Back in those days though offline damage prevention wasn’t a thing and for a long time kiting was an everyday threat (and it was legal), I know I mentioned that it to me it wouldn’t be fun to walk up everyday to a destroyed base and dead creatures, and most of the time it didn’t happen if you had enough of a base and decent defenses, but the threat was still real even for PVE players. It also wasn’t that boring, it was typical Ark and the grind was there but we made up things to do. Kinda how like the creators on the monarky servers come up with different challenges, we were in a way doing that 8 years ago we just didn’t realize it at the time. We would have bets on who could run on foot from one end of spino river to the other with nothing but stone tools and a bow and see who could survive( a lot harder than what you think it is lol), we would tame the shoulder monkeys and turn them loose on aggressive wander on the river and see how long they would live, boxing matches in the volcano. Stuff like that. I definitely see where you coming from on the note runs and getting to a higher level quicker and kinda in a way bypassing the hard ships along the way, but also in the old days that wasn’t as big of a thing like it is now. There were faaaarr less notes on the map and finding one was a pretty awesome thing as I remember it. So even in PVE it was still a grind from level 1 to 80. We also made friends and personal connections along the way and I would like to believe that it benefited the server and all those on it, because we all had the same goal to keep the server playable and fair to EVERYONE! Which also brings me to the practice of pillaring land. Now pillaring was to combat 2 things mostly. Protecting spawns (resources and creatures) and keeping the map playable. Obviously rivers got pillared, beaches got pillared and high density resource spawns got pillared, because tribes would come into a server and build a full base right on top of a resource spawn and not have a care in the world how it effected the whole server (still happens to this day), or would build a massive 40w x 60l x 25h lag box of a base that would completely close off a river to where no one could get through on a meat run and it would ruin creature spawns and/or cause a disconnect area where even if you looked in the direction of that base it would dashboard ya. Why people build bases like that I have no idea, maybe they can’t build? I dunno, but given situations like that it causes the map and game to not be fun for anybody at that point. I’ve been on servers like that and my god everybody that plays on it is just miserable all the time. Lastly, there was excitement, nuance and intrigue on PVE. A lot of it was in different areas though, since for the most part we didn’t have to worry about getting our stuff wrecked, we channeled it in running the hard snow cave with another tribe (it was just as hard then as it is now, in some cases maybe more so). We also pushed the building aspect a lot, finding out new ways to manipulate the sideways mechanics, of course breeding creatures to insane stats. Now yes did it get monotonous and feel like just another job? Oh yeah many times, but it took a while if you were solo or only maybe a 4 player tribe. We had a 25 member tribe upon entering the center for the first time in may of 2016, and things happen so fast it made our heads spin. Within the first 4 days we had quetzs, Rexes, spinos max level untility creatures and had pretty much the entire run of the map to ourselves before most tribes even upgraded their thatch huts to wood and a raptor pack for protection. There was still new things to see and fun to be had but I guess my point is that it went stale quicker. By the end of the summer of 2016 all but 4 of our tribe had up and quit and by the end of that year we all took a break. So there can still be excitement and cool things to check out even in an 8 almost 9 year old game, but the big thing is the pace that you go. Obviously if your solo or smaller tribe it is a lot more satisfying to accomplish things, and it keeps the spark of the game alive. So in that aspect I agree with you in regards to you spending a year and 1/2 building up, by yourself it takes that long, but where I disagree is that PVE can be just as fun and intriguing as PVP, it’s just in a different way and how your perspective is on it. Now there are a ton of things that WC could do that would make the 2 modes drastically different, but like you said in another post it would be all in the coding and being the game was coded more to the PVP aspect when PVE was conceptualized they will be permanently linked to adversely affect each other when balances are made. Now if WC ACTUALLY did recode the game with an real cleaned up code base, that would have been the time to completely split the 2 modes and balance them individually from each other and not affect each other negatively. Unfortunately we as players pay the price for their (or their publishers) lack of competence within this matter.

  23. It is Both a single player and multiplayer, open world, sand box (quite literally sometimes) that allows you to build an existence on an "ARK" of which there are many. You will evolve from a zero skilled beach Bob, trying not to die, to an elite, scientifically endowed super human tinkering with the DNA of creatures prehistoric and mythical. And now you can do it bug free, in beautiful graphics on consoles or PC while benefiting from off the peg content that enhances your experience but, keeps the playing method fair. Most of this is true.

  24. Think it would be an awesome idea to give some personality to the dinos. By introducing size variants you might run into a bit smaller rex or a bit larger turtle. I think this would be awesome as it would also create the rarity or value of a size variation. Also possibly working it into the DNA for breeding lines. I mean the variation doesn't have to be over the top but would make a bit more realistic as not everything is born the exact same size. Just an idea...

  25. I completely agree. As someone who runs a dedicated server, I witnessed a significant decline in our server population immediately after implementing premium mods. The feedback from our players echoed the same sentiment. We had no choice but to remove the premium mods until the problem is resolved. Our player count dropped from over 200 active users to less than 15 after introducing premium mods. It's clear that installing premium mods isn't worthwhile until a solution is found.

  26. So on April 9th. Wildcard sent out a message saying they were temporarily disabling decay timers and would keep us posted on when they would be turning them back on. Well, they never did and today my swamp base auto decayed. It wasn't smart of me to leave them un-rendered for so long, however I could not log into scorched since it was full everytime I tried during the event. I came back to the island yesterday and today that base is gone. Thankfully it was not my main base but I wanted to give a warning to those who may be thinking the decay timers are still offline. Go and check your bases asap. I'm sure there's no way to recover what I've lost. I wish there was a way to submit a ticket in for this. But only for code of conduct. Wildcard, fix your game and stay consistent with the updates please.

Since it takes quite a while to revamp maps, were going to get a map that although most people love, there won’t be anything new to it. With no new content players will quickly find themselves bored by the map and will have to await x amount of months till new content releases. Idrc on which ark the Gigantoraptor ends up in as long as rag has new content.

  31. adding transported traps would be excellent especially if you are thinking of traps for animals of similar size or smaller than a raptor or even a carnotaur, these traps/cages could be equipped with an inventory in which to put bait such as meat that attracts the animals then once the animal enters the cage closes, enclosing the animal. for larger animals it is perhaps more difficult but it is still an excellent idea to work on here

  32. That's a pretty low bar you're setting there. Better than awful is still not good. I mean, you're making a true statement, they're better than other companies that are worse, but that still doesn't mean that they meet the bar for being "good". I've played plenty of both games, going back almost to beta for both games, and submitted multiple support tickets for both games over the years, and I completely disagree with both elements of that statement. Even if we factor in that the customer service for Conan has degraded since FunCom was effectively bought by TenCent, they still have an overall better history of customer service and a better history of bug fixes than WC/ARK have had. Over the lifetime of these two games, WC has focused more on quantity over quality, FunCom has focused more on quality over quantity. And, to reiterate, all DLC's in Conan except for the 2nd map are entirely cosmetic, whereas almost all of the DLC for ARK has involved soft coercion on players to buy them or fall behind. They're doing it because they mismanaged the company and were about $13 million in debt with severely negative cash flow, requiring them to use a variety of dishonest tactics to get players to crowd-fund their continued existence. It's not really more complicated than that.
    1 point
  33. Except it's not entirely accurate. You've already described Atlas as an asset flip, which means you should understand that the underlying game was made by WC and then re-skinned for Atlas. One of the biggest criticisms of Atlas was that it was very obviously ARK but reskinned. Or perhaps you'd prefer to see that described as a new game using the ARK game engine, which would also be a fair description, but that game engine was still made by WC. The graphics were made by the new studio, and changes continued to be made after release, but at the time of release the game engine was made by WC. Atlas was not made entirely by WC, but at the time of release (and for some time afterwards) it's fair to say that the majority of Atlas was made by WC.

  37. I'd like to make a petition to increase carry weight on oasisaur, literally it was sold as a moving base, but 2,500 carry weight make that impossible. 1 rex over it and it uses 1/5, a few stacks of food and resources and it is full. Literally the carry weight make it useless and so expensive talking about real money.
    1 point
  38. I mean, I do get it. But, I'm not entirely sure if you got my point. If I were in charge of Ark then on PVE servers there would be no-build zones built into every single cave, a good distance around every single cave entrance, a good distance around every Obelisk, a good distance around every built in spawn point, and a good distance around areas with a high density of important resources and creature spawns. This is because, PVE servers and single player are what is meant to allow the majority of a video game's player-base to have access to reaching endgame content. If this is what you want out of the video game; if access to a wide range of content is what you want to see and play; then PVE servers and single player are where you should go in a game like this. (Unfortunately I know that PVE on Ark is not fully designed this way and is another thing that wc/sg have failed in.) But, PVP servers is where people should go when experiencing endgame content is not their ultimate goal. If your ultimate goal is to have the most challenging experience, then PVP is where you should go. Restricting things in PVP takes this unique challenge away. If you do not want this challenge, then my question would be why are you on a PVP server? It's a question that people on my original server asked new players countless times back in the good old days. The answer almost always was; "Because on PVE they pillar everything off and slot cap the tames. At least on PVP we have a chance of blowing other peoples' stuff up so we can open up space for ourselves." This is why pillaring and slot capping tames should not be allowed on PVE servers and is one of the things wc/sg have failed on. But, if this is a person's answer then why should they complain when the different rules of a PVP server work negatively against them as well? If you want the extra freedoms that a PVP server provides over a PVE server, then you should be willing to accept when those freedoms become negative towards you as well. The thing with Ark ever since the very beginning when pertaining to this subject comes down to how wc/sg have handled the game with concern to its multiplayer servers. They never truly thought through how people would receive and play this game. So, from the very start they didn't code the game with PVE or single player in mind. When they finally did decide that the modes should be differentiated and split, they had a difficult time implementing coding that would specifically affect one but not the other. So when things were balanced for PVP, PVE got negatively affected. (Example: Flyer Speed Nerf) When things were balanced for PVE, PVP got negatively affected. (Example: Creating Tame Slot Caps and Build Radius Limits) Creating no-build zones and dealing with the pillaring and tame slot capping on PVE became something they couldn't realistically do because those things would drastically affect PVP in a negative way. Since A.S.A. is just a copy/paste of A.S.E.'s coding, then the same still applies today. If PVE servers truly were PVE, then the majority of the game's player-base would not need to even think about PVP servers if they wanted to experience the game's endgame content. The extra struggle to get to that endgame content on PVP is what should make PVP different from PVE on any multiplayer game.

  39. Not true. They have also said at various points that ASA is "new", making claims about lots of brand new code, all of which were obviously false. Doug Kennedy even posted it on Twitter/X at least one time. WC has made quite a few false claims about ASA, they have not been honest about what has actually been done with the product. Except that's not what @WCpromoteslaziness did. What he did was make fun of people who are buying used water and believing that it was new. He didn't buy it and then complain, he made fun of people who bought it. There is when a game is still in Early Access. There is no governing body that makes rules about Early Access, which is all the more reason that players/customers should criticize companies who do it. It's entirely unethical, scummy and generally just a crappy way to treat customers. Beyond that, ASA should never have been EA to begin with, that was also unethical and scummy, unfortunately Steam and the other platforms are find with unethical, scummy behavior as long as they get a cut. WC/Snail have made around 2 billion dollars (that's with a "B", Billion) on the ARK properties over the years, much more than enough money to make a better product and have plenty of operating revenue for anything they wanted to do. This is blatant profiteering at the expense of customers. If you want to overspend for a substandard that's your choice, but then you need to understand that other people have every right to criticize people who mismanage their own company and then need to crowd-source an inferior upgrade thinly disguised as a "new" game. Companies do need to show a profit, and people also have the right to criticize them for mismanaging their company and their products.

  40. Please bring back old Cryopod Mechanics, at least for pve. There are so many cryo fridges placed throughout the map that just cause lag and clutter. Please remove the new cryopod gimmick and give us the old one to avoid this issue. Pvers cannot break other players structures, so we just have a bazillion cryo fridges everywhere.

  41. Ping is a quality of network connection metric. Ping is high because something is causing the data to take a long time to reach the destination. This is caused outside of the game client. Maybe your security software is causing it. Maybe your crap WiFi signal is causing it. Maybe the host has the same issues causing it. Maybe there is a problem with one of the hops the data takes on the internet in between yourself and the server. Maybe your CPU is struggling to meet the demands of the client, and is unable to process the network data in a timely manner. Troubleshoot the connection problem, and you can figure it out. No one else can do it for you. Whatever your ping is has absolutely nothing to do with whether you paid for the game or not, and is not a game-level issue to complain about.

  42. All and any Dino's that can use the new Cart can no longer go on any Raft or Platform Saddle without being thrown off. The Dinosaur does not need to be attached to a cart for it to not be able to go on a Raft/ Platform. This breaks a lot of the early game of being able to put Dino's like the parasaur on a raft to move them around. Why can't this only be affected when they are wearing a cart? Even more broken is that an Argy can now carry a Rock Elemental by placing it on a cart and then using the Argy to pick up the Dino the cart is attached to!

  44. Scorched is looking incredible! Excellent work on both it and Bob's Tall Tales, the latter especially feels like a real labour of love! Really hoping to see some Scorched Earth achievements popping up on Steam though! Since all the ASE DLC is included now, I'd love to see map specific achievements to get!

  45. Tamed a lvl 200+ argy and an 200+ anky. flew over a cave area and went to land to get stam. My anky sprinted at turrets that were cave blocking and that did not shoot at it, as it was on neutral. I tried to follow on my argy but was instantly killed. Both my tames died. The next day I went to tame a new argy only to find out that someone placed a tek turret on top of a metal mountain under a tree and my level 241 ptera was killed. **turrets/bases should not be able to be placed near rare resources, obis, caves. or notes. It only lets a very small amount of ppl in the server enjoy the game. The rest rage quit because they cant even play the game. ** **Your servers shouldn't support the enjoyment of only 12 out of 80 ppl...**

  46. Hello my dear Ark survivors. This time I bring you a new dino for the Aberration Map. With overwhelming strength and a special ability that makes him unique among all dinos, I present to you: BLOODYRAPTOR The bloodyraptor is a therapod that mutated from the Ceratosaurus, it underwent different mutations due to the radiation that entered the Ark of Aberration. The main feature that stands out in this dino is its retractable tongue with which it can suck the blood of its victims, but that's not all, since it can use the blood of dinos as a DNA sample to fertilize sterile eggs of the same species of dino from which the sample was drawn. WILD: A shadowy creature that hides in the darkness of the Aberrant Ark, we can find the Bloodyraptor sharing spawm with Ripers and Rock Drakes, so we can find it in radioactive zones or in the light zone. He has a very aggressive temperament and will attack any dino that approaches him, all carnivores respect him and they will not attack him unless they are attacked by one. Its size exceeds that of an allosaurus but is smaller than that of the Riper. DOMESTICATED: Having a BLOODYRAPTOR in your Arsenal is a convenience, since you can do without dinos to breed, just find an unfertilized egg and take a DNA sample from a male of the egg species to have your own fertilized egg ready to incubate. Its great strength and size combined with its sharp fangs and claws make it a voracious predator that can rival any dino in Aberration, it can even put up a good fight with the Riper. Its diet is based exclusively on blood, but once tamed it can eat any type of meat. ATTACKS: Primary Attack: A bite with its strong jaws that deals high damage and collects blood packets. (This would be the second dino from Ark Survival with the ability to extract blood from its victims since only Desmodus is the only one that could do this) Secondary attack: It uses its sharp claws like those of a Deinonychus to inflige scratches that deal bleed damage. special attack: An attack that deals almost no damage using its retractable tongue like a syringe, this attack is used to take DNA samples from dinosaurs which will be saved in the Bloodyraptor's inventary, the DNA sample will have the same appearance as leech blood but in the item data it will say the information of the dino where it was taken from. The attack is so painless that it does not awaken the fury of aggressive dinos towards you. (You can only use this attack every 3 minutes) SKILLS: • The main ability that most attracts our attention of this dino is his ability to fertilize eggs. To do this you need an unfertilized dino egg (either wild or tamed by you), the next thing would be to find a wild male dino of the same species as the egg you want to fertilize, using the special syringe attack with his retractable tongue he will be able to take DNA samples from the dino and it will be saved directly to your inventory. The DNA sample will look the same as leech blood, but it will only be stored in single stacks and the information will tell you what species of dino it is and the level. Then you have to enter the infertile egg in the Bloodyraptor's inventory and select the fertilize option that will appear in the DNA sample (this option will only be enabled if you have an egg of the same species as the sample) The level of the egg's dino will depend the level of the mother that laid the egg and the level of the male dino from the DNA sample remained. What is the downside of fertilizing an egg with the Bloodyraptor? The downside is that dinos born from artificial fertilization will be sterile, males will not be able to reproduce and females will be able to lay eggs but not mate, therefore they will not give fertilized eggs, but this won't be a big problem if you still have a Bloodyraptor on your side, because a DNA sample from your sterile dino is valid to use in the egg of the infertile female, so as long as you have this dino the sterile creatures you have will be useful to breed. •Ability to drain blood with his primary attack just like Desmodus, with a recolection efficiency of 4.7⭐ •You can also collect rotten meat from corpses with the primary attack, the secondary extracts raw meat and prime meat. Pickup Efficiency 4.2⭐ •Can extract Biotoxin from dinos that generates torpor, gathering efficiency 3.0⭐ List of dinos that you can extract Biotoxin from in Aberration: -araneo -arthroplera -Basilisk -beelzebufo -Cnidaria -scorpion -titanoboa •The Bloodyraptor is immune to radiation. •Dinos born from artificial fertilization by means of a Bloodyraptor are also immune to radiation. •It has a utility mount that functions as a wandering smithy. •You can make Sanguine elixir in your inventory (same as a Desmodus) • It has a special bag in its throat where it can store eggs, these can be picked up with the primary attack, making this dino special to steal rock drake eggs, or Wyverns on other maps. Not having to get off the dino to pick up the egg avoids necessary risks and although the Bloodyraptor cannot fly it is a dino strong enough to defend itself against dangerous dinos like rock drakes, but be careful that there are not too many against you or you can lose the fight. HOW TO TAME : The taming method is violent by knockout, you must make it fall unconscious to feed it, the only food you can give it is blood packets, but it won't get hungry unless you feed it with a rock drake egg, the egg will stimulate his appetite for 30 minutes, if he lets the effect wear off, he will stop feeding and you can lose your taming progress, if the dino is not tamed before the first 30 minutes you can give him another rock drake egg to restart his Appetite timer to 30 minutes without losing any of your taming progress. It is not a very complex method but it does take a lot of attention in terms of the course of domestication time. BLOODYRAPTOR OVERVIEW In summary, I can tell you that the Bloodyraptor is a mutation of the Ceratosaurus, excellent for combat, equal in strength to a Rex or Spinosaurus (It can be more or less strong depending on the decision of studio WILDCARD). With a great ability that makes him absolutely unique among the dinos of ark since he can artificially fertilize any sterile egg with a DNA sample from the male dino of the egg's species. Also a great harvesting dino being able to collect resources that almost no dino can collect like blood packs, rotten meat and Biotoxin (Biotoxin can only be extracted from poisonous dinos). He is also a skilled egg thief who can collect them directly from the ground or from the nests without the need for you to get off the dino and as a final touch a useful utilitarian mount that works as a traveling blacksmith, as well as the ability to make the Sanguine Elixir of Desmodus with blood. that Bloodyraptor collects from its victims. I HOPE YOU LIKE MY PROPOSAL FOR ARK ASCENDED ABERRATION AND IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS YOU CAN ADD IT. PS: I want to leave the dino's base stats up to studio WC because I know they can give it a better balance. ADDITIONAL: Soon I will leave you the link of a video on my YouTube channel, explaining the characteristics of the dino. (Audio available only in Spanish, will soon be available with English subtitles) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VOTES, CRITICS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
