  1. It's unfortunate that in the 60 seconds it took me to create this image, you think the dev team has completely stopped all work. The team have been and still are working hard to fix all high-priority issues.

  2. There should be a way to separate the balances made to dinosaurs and game mechanics between PvE and PvP. Multiple balances have made PvE nothing but hard. Managarmr being a recent example, in PvE they're useless now thanks to the many balances made to make PvP better. Flier nerf was a huge change in PvE making fliers and transportation harder by forcing us to land since PvP was taking to the skies too often and the game tried to "ground" the fight

This is a rework of the structure for server optimization, it should improve stability across the board due to huge memory-savings on large/active servers. It will generally function the same. You can still deposit and withdraw, but there are a few changes to be noted: You'll now be able to slot cap yourself directly using the Transfer All button when using the dedicated storage and it will ignore your weight. You'll no longer see an inventory inside the dedicated storage box when opening it, don't worry, your items are still there. You'll no longer be able to popcorn (Spamming the 'O' key to drop items) from the dedicated storage directly, (but you can now transfer a slot cap into your own inventory and popcorn from there). I believe that Procedural Generated maps is a great addition and once working properly after the "Initial Testing Experiment" of this update, the versatility of this game will have become unlimited. So many thing to do, so many new maps available. So many more uncharted territory to explore. The same old map gets old after a while. This will open up extended play. By delaying the update to smooth it out instead of sending out trash too early is in fact them getting their poop together. This was a wise decision.

  14. Forgot to note the stats of a creature before leveling up? This tool helps to retreive the values that matter for breeding. Now you can also save your extracted stats in a library, see which creature has the best stats and view the pedigree of your pets. Sort your library to see which creatures are the best for breeding and compare which stats are inherited to the offspring. Feedback is welcome.   22. PS4 console user I would like to see a special slot added to all items that use gas for power. You put the gas in there, but it stays put, like a dino's saddle when you do a transfer all. So let's say you load up your Indy Grill with meat. You place in units of gas as well, and start cooking. Minutes later, you access the grill, and hit transfer all into your character. The cooked meat transfers back to you, but the gas stays with the Grill in it's special slot. The only way to remove the gas, would be to specifically select it, just like when removing a saddle from a dino.

  23. I think I can speak for the entire Ark community that's currently playing, that it's completely wrong that PS4 gets EXCLUSIVE skins. The Xbox and PC community has supported this game through it's entire development. We've had to endure the game being pushed back a year. We've had to endure updates constantly failing to be released on time. I understand this is not a complete game, but that's not the point. The point is, we've been the ones that this game has been tested on. We've had to experience all of the horrible glitches that have come with this games development stages, and PS4 gets exclusive skins? I'm happy for you guys broadening your platform spectrum, but this is still not right. Xbox and PC players deserve a lot more than to see this.

  25. It's not early game though it is end game. Genesis II is designed for being the map once people have survived the Island and all DLC maps as the story depicts. The Island is basic/primitive survival (early game), by the time you get to Genesis II you will already be advanced with tek and bosses etc. So it makes sense for an end game map to be more advanced. Wildcard have certainly not destroyed Ark, they've just progressed their story to the end.

  31. After almost 2 years of constant breeding, every larger group now has incredibly mutated dinos that are nowhere close to what the game was originally balanced around. This means that dinos like Rhinos or Therizinosaurs deal much more damage and are much harder to kill than they were 1.5 years ago when the game released. Politically, the game is currently very stale, with alliances constant, no big conflicts and many people leaving the main cluster for others clusters or other games for a fresher and more exciting experience. A wipe would easily reset breeding back to its original state and bring these dinos back down to what they were originally, and bring back many players that have left over the last year. edit: im talking (mostly) about the Official PvP network, non-legacy, main cluster)

We see that extinction has its city terminals that function like a teleporter, this seems to be a design choice based on the accident that it is so difficult to leave an aberration map that you map be on without building up to get climbing picks and finding a drop to escape from. So can we see charge stations have the "travel to another ark" option, even if they don't add the creature tab and the ark data tab, just the travel to another ark option to get stranded players off of aberration easier

Name: Giant Bison Species: Bison longicornis Time: Pleistocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: Traveling in massive herds for greater pastures, the largest bovine in existence is a sight to behold. With their massive pair of horns, they are known to be aggressive chargers and capable of goring any predator willing to challenge them including wolves and bears. Their large bodies capable of withstanding the harshest winters with their ever-growing pelts, making them durable enough to resist freezing to death. Taming: Extremely sought for their pelts, horns, and the rich bovine milk, taming a Bison isn't as easy at it looks. Many tribesmen attempt to bull-ride in hopes to tire them out and begin feeding them when they aren't wide awake. Beware getting bucked off, I've seen many tribesmen knocked out with that heavy bull kick to the face. Some get gored if unlucky enough. Domesticated: Once they are tamed, this of course unfortunately attracts every now and then random predators who want to raid your livestock and eat them all. The milk produced by the females gives any baby animal being raised a quite needed boost, potentially can be warmed up in an cooking pot for a special buff against the cold weather. With their hulking bodies, they offer extra warmth and can carry weight much like modern ox. Like modern cattle, their feces is much more potent fertilizer often referred to as "cow pie" that gives crops a boost of extra harvest. ARK Meta: Combat: Built in with a charge mechanic similar to Triceratops and the Woolly Rhinoceros, the Bison could impale its victims into their horns and gore them to bleed out, as well a herd buff to boost their strength with mate boost activated, dealing extreme damage. Crippling debuff inflicted on players and dinosaurs if it successfully charges. Utility: Another farm animal for the common PVE (or RP) players who would love a cow in ARK (like the ones in Atlas). Bison milk in turn could be cooked warmly to drink as an insulation buff against the cold, or fed to babies, especially baby Wyverns who require milk themselves. When Bison defecate, they drop a special feces called "cow pie" which is much better than other dinosaur feces, and more efficient, sometimes giving the crops a boost of extra harvest. With a unique cart or wagon saddle, depending on the type of saddle chosen affects how the player how much weight they can carry back and forth from point A to point B with more speed. The amount of Bison needed for the type of cart or wagon saddle affects not only speed, the weight and the mobility of the mini-wheeled base. Bison Milk - Like other bovines, Bison can be milked for their nutritional sweet baby food. If fed to warm blooded babies, the calcium would help them grow much faster than normal than any other food if given the proper care. Can be substituted for any food a baby might require care such as kibble. Bison Milk Cheese - A crafting recipe requiring Bison milk, a very delicious cheese with a very wild yet sweet taste. Who knows what else it could offer? Raids: Having a livestock of these Bison will eventually lead to many predators wanting to assault your base to eat your beef, much in the same manner as how the Corrupted attack Element Veins/OSDs or the Nameless harassing you if you don't have a charge pet. You will have to turn full on cowboy to keep them at bay every now and then. FJORDUR: - Useful in colder areas, especially Jotunheim, the bison's thick fur pelt will keep the player protected from the dangerous sub-zero temperatures and deter off any nasty wolves or bears who dare come too close. - Major harvester if on a trip on foot to harvest metal or wood, or various other resources, depending on the cart or wagon saddle will speed determine the rough terrain. - With predatory dinosaurs and other animals wanting to eat your livestock, you could either use this to your advantage to lure a high level carnivore or simply farm experience from killing them all.

  35. its funny that people with a low post count want a wipe, and people with a high post count dont want a wipe. new players will always want a wipe, that will never change, they want to start equal with all the others. 90% of the starters only play this game for a few weeks upto a few months, and there would be more people that want a wipe because there will always be more starters then established players. this is why it is extremely hypocritical and mean to ask for a wipe because statistics say that you are not even here anymore after 3 months. some dinos like tuso mosa and basilo take 1.5 years where they are now, they are op, but they are not even close to max possible. you want to wipe this work.

  36. what about pc... i bought this game since it got released on steam... because i knew it would become something cool ! everyone who took the risk and bought a game that is in early access without even knowing if it would become something... you rewarded us with giving us a parasaur saddle skin... srsly... e parasaur saddle skin ?! nobody even tames parasaurs... at the begining i didn't mind... and then i saw this...now i feal kind of jealous and upset... at least do something to balance our feelings...

EDIT : I'm so tired of being teased about upcoming things in tweets ("there's a lot coming ! promise !") and every week seeing THIS in Community Crunches. Even if you have nothing to announce, here are a few ideas that could make CCs meatier : - a recap of the most important tweets posted by the WildCard team in the past week - a recap of videos posted by Ark Youtubers in the past week. Or some clips from Ark streamers of the past week. I'm sure they'd be happy to send them to Cedric for promotional purposes. I remember that used to happen along with Fanart Fridays, no ? - any recap of what was accomplished during the past week. How many tickets solved ? Or how many technical issues intervened on ? - you know, I have not even seen Community Crunches being used to link articles/reviews about the Crystal Isles release (or any DLC before it)... it'd be so easy to give people more stuff to read when it's other people writing it Free content right there, just compile links for them. Crystal Isles was just released on console, I'm sure some outlets are going to report on that, no ? - a handful of suggestions from the suggestions forums, that are already popular and/or of interest to WildCard, so that people can see if they support the idea and vote for it even more (assuming some of those suggestions will lead somewhere... because they do, right ?) - behind-the-scenes content about stuff already in the game. "Here are some designs we went through while coming up with the Tropeo" / "An interview with ISO on what it meant for her map to become official" / "Our sound designer explaining how dino sounds are made"... just use one CC to ask people for ideas and actually follow up on some of the most doable suggestions [sidenote : record. Genesis2. Behind-the-scenes. stuff. now... you'll use it to fill Crunches later] - a written Q&A with one member of the WildCard team. Each week people ask a lot of questions in the comments of the Community Crunches, why not select some of the ones you're most comfortable with, and have someone reply to a handful of them ? - an update on the mods that are/were part of the Sponsored Mod program. What is their progress now, several months later ? What is their roadmap ? Do they have new projects instead ? (I remember a time when Zen Rowe was interviewing mod devs about their work). - in general, why not have someone report on the newest and/or most popular mods on the Workshop ? New mods appear pretty much every week, but also, there are popular mods with very frequent update that could get some spotlight. Almost all the mod devs have discords where they post previews of upcoming work, too. It's a dynamic part of the community, it's related to the game... really, the mod monitoring writes itself, it just needs to be reported on in Crunches some way or another. Do SOMETHING with it. None of this requires to discuss content "in the works", by the way. But at least it'd feel informative and/or constructive. It'd feel like something is happening, instead of stalling until what is coming actually comes. It's ACTUAL content instead of a filler. I do agree it's more work (and more planning ahead, like remembering to record stuff during the development phase of some DLC) than the current Community Crunches, though. Also one project I really could see being carried through these Community Crunches would be asking people to suggest tips, in order to update the tips on the game's loading screen (I think we all "remember to eat" at this point). That would feel productive imho. Partner with Dododex' admin for this if you need help on the project, IDK ? I'll also add that I remember filling a poll posted by Cedric a while ago, and I don't remember reading about the feedback, anyone has a link to that ?

  44. Haven't been on time for a single DLC or update why change it for the last one! I'm sure this one will be just as broken as every other initial release dlc and have exceptional excuses to cover it up. Thanks for another let down Just curious when can we start expecting excuses and delays for ark 2?

  45. Can you please increase the hypo and hyper protection on tek gear? No reason to be in the sulfur fields and still be burning to death in end game gear. Whereas I can go there in desert gear and have the small flame.

Wanted to say the devs are killing it with this game as fat as it is already n still a few months till a full release n people this $#!+ happen when creating new and exciting games be thankful there letting this one out before it hits alpha stages ( star wars battlefront ) release date got pushed back a whole year cause of problems n this studio lets us play w them through the development of so just have fun n hang tight this ones gonna be awesome
