  1. Hello there fellow Survivors! Our entire team has been hard at work creating new game content, fixing bugs, and adding compatibility for more devices. With so much still coming to the game this year, we thought now would be a good time to share what’s on the horizon for ARK: Survival Evolved on iOS & Android. As always, please keep in mind that all features and dates are subject to change. AUGUST Cave & Obelisk Building Restrictions (PvP) We will be disabling Cave and Obelisk building on PvP servers in the interest of creating a fair and balanced multiplayer environment. These areas will now follow the PvE building ruleset. Baryonyx Take care when roaming near the Island’s rivers and streams, as this piscivore is not one to be messed with! Tame one yourself for access to it’s tail-spin attack. Multiple Save Slots & Cloud Saves (Single Player) We are adding 3 local save slots so that you can back-up your Single Player save on your device, in addition to 1 cloud save slot - convenient for switching between devices or restoring your game if you need to delete the app. SEPTEMBER Device Compatibility (Moto G5S, Samsung J7 Prime) It’s coming! We are adding support for more Android devices - most notably the Moto G5S and Samsung J7 Prime. Tribe Scoring (PvP, PvE, PvX) This points-based system will be rolled out to all servers with a constantly refreshing leaderboard. We’ll discuss more details as we get closer, but Alpha Tribes should definitely expect to work harder to maintain their positions at the top. Iguanodon Use this Ornithopod to help with your gardening, or race across the Island in bipedal or quadrupedal stance. Watch out for those thumbs though, this guy is a brawler when angered! Purlovia Need to stash some loot? How about protect your base with a hidden tame? The Purlovia can burrow underground with a full inventory of goodies, or help keep watch over your base like a landmine with it's special burrowing ability! Brutal Difficulty Servers Hard servers not providing enough of a challenge? This new difficulty setting will lower XP gains and spawn even higher-level creatures all over the Island. Public PvX servers September will see the launch of fresh PvX servers without requiring Primal Pass. These servers will have crafting stations turned back on. Creature Collars Give your favorite tame some bling with the all-new collar cosmetics available in multiple styles. Take your Direwolf for a strut in spikes, let your Rex walk proud with a shiny new bandana, or put that Achatina in the Cone of Shame. Survivor Collars Strut your stuff with the most fashionable neckwear on the Island. Show your enemies who's boss while sporting your chains, or get comfy at home in the cozy collar. OCTOBER - DECEMBER Private Server Rental You will soon be able to rent a private server for you & your friends to play on. We intend to launch a cheaper, limited-capacity option in addition to the standard 60 player server size. Server Refresh (PvP, PvE) As some older servers continue to maintain low player populations, they will be merged with newer ones to make room for fresh server rollouts. More Event Types Creature Racing? Survivor Breeding? We’re cooking up some zany ideas here at War Drum Studios. Let us know what sort of special events you’d like to see on the Island. More Creatures & TLC Updates We don’t want to spoil all the surprises, but let’s just say that your favorite semi-aquatic pearl collector may be making an appearance in the game, in addition to TLC changes that turn a certain creature into a flying Smithy. *All dates subject to change

  2. With the release of ARK: Survival Evolved on iOS and Android right around the corner, we thought now would be a good time to talk about the in-app purchases that will be available to you upon launch. We know that in-app purchases bring out a wide array of opinions, and we’ve sought to offer a gameplay experience that will suit many different types of players. Ancient Amber For those who never want to spend a dime on the game, you don’t have to. ARK: Survival Evolved is free-to-play on iOS and Android, and you can obtain every purchasable structure, item and buff in the game without spending any money. Ancient Amber is a rare resource that can also be purchased (making it an in-game currency) and is tied to your account on an individual server or in single player. It can be obtained without purchasing it directly in a variety of ways: Harvested from large predators Found in Amber deposits scattered around The Island Random chance to obtain from Free Gifts From watching Ads Random chance to obtain from stones picked up off the ground Additionally, we have optional timed XP Boosts and Free Gifts that can be redeemed multiple times per day in return for watching an ad. When it comes to what you can spend your Ancient Amber on, we have many different types of purchases available. All of these have been created with the goal of offering convenient options for players who are not able to put in the hours to grind out everything they want in the game. These purchases include: Structures - Primarily, paid structures include crafting stations that can be used to instantly craft items for yourself or your tribe, including other structures, ammunition, kibble, and paint dyes. These structures become available for purchase as you level up. For example the Lumber Mill, which is used to build wooden structures, becomes available for purchase at Level 15. Buffs - Timed buffs are available to help you get through tough situations. Available buffs include increased weight capacity, resistance to weather elements, and reduced hunger. Items - Single-use consumable items such as the Soothing Balm, which increases your taming effectiveness when fed to a wild creature. Primal Pass We also offer a subscription service that applies across all servers and in Single Player with Primal Pass. Primal Pass is available on a subscription basis for $3.99 a month, or you can purchase the annual pass for $34.99. With Primal Pass you get a permanent double XP buff, the removal of all ads (including those on the aforementioned Free Gifts), reserved slots on all servers, early access to news & upcoming special events, and access to our Primal Pass-exclusive servers. The Primal Pass-exclusive servers are our solution for those who desire a premium experience with less potential paid imbalance. On these servers, all paid structures are disabled and only buffs and items may be purchased. Thus there is no direct way to purchase harvestable resources or structures that could give an advantage to a paying player. We believe these will be a popular choice for seasoned ARK players looking for the most familiar experience. We hope that this overview expresses the great care we’ve taken to make ARK: Survival Evolved an enjoyable experience for all types of mobile players. We believe in giving players choice, and hope that is reflected in the decisions we have made. We look forward to hearing your feedback and continuing the discussion with our community. See you on The Island, War Drum Studios

Craft and build: Using any means necessary - survive, craft weapons, clothes and items, and build shelters, villages, or even large cities. Plant, harvest, build, level-up, and customize everything visually and functionally, including procedurally-generated RPG statistics for creatures, characters, resources, clothing, gear and weapons, both primitive and modern. 4. Server Transfers are coming to ARK Mobile before the year is up, and we'd like to take this opportunity to review what you can expect. This feature is being built from the ground up specifically for mobile devices, as such you may find that some features are limited compared to what you can transfer in the PC & Console versions of the game. Our goal is to give you as many options as possible while also making sure that nothing breaks the game or becomes unbalanced. Please feel free to sound off with any questions in the comments below, as they will contribute to a more expansive FAQ that will be posted when Server Transfers are released. WHAT YOU CAN TRANSFER You will be able to transfer your Survivor (including Level, Stats, Engrams & Pursuit Progress), Blueprints, Creature Implants, Artifacts, Trophies, Revival Platforms, Soothing Balm, Pheromones, Cuddle Bears, Candy, Premium Structures, Premium Skins, Collars and your Ancient Amber balance. The following items must be in your Survivor's inventory at the time of transfer, otherwise they will be left behind: Blueprints, Trophies, Artifacts, Revival Platforms, Soothing Balm, Pheromones, Cuddle Bears, Candy, and Creature Implants. All owned Premium Structures and Collars will be removed from the Island automatically and taken with you upon Server Transfer. Your Creature Implants will maintain their Ancient Amber revival cost when you arrive on the new server. Anyone who is forced off of a server (such as with the upcoming Server Refresh) will not incur a revival cost on their Creature Implants. Creatures must be personally owned or they will revive as wild on the new server. WHAT YOU CAN'T TRANSFER Anything not explicitly mentioned above will not transfer with you. This includes resources, standard structures, crafted weapons and crafted armor. WHERE YOU CAN TRANSFER (OFFICIAL SERVERS) You cannot transfer between Official and Unofficial servers. You can only transfer within the same difficulty setting (ie. Hard server to Hard server). If you play on a PvE server, you can only transfer to another PvE server. If you play on a PvP server, you can transfer to PvE, PvX or another PvP server. If you play on a PvX server, you can transfer to PvE, PvP or another PvX server. WHERE YOU CAN TRANSFER (UNOFFICIAL SERVERS) You cannot transfer between Unofficial and Official servers. You can transfer between any difficulty or game mode as long as both unofficial servers share the same Transfer Secret. A Transfer Secret is a key (aka. password) that Unofficial Server Owners can set in their Server Settings. For example, to transfer from Server A to Server B, both Server Owners will need to have the same key set in the Transfer Secret field of their Server Settings. There is no limit to the amount of Unofficial Servers that can use the same Transfer Secret. HOW YOU CAN TRANSFER Server Transfer tickets are purchased with Ancient Amber. They will appear as a premium item in your inventory and cannot be dropped or transferred to another inventory. Once you decide to use the Server Transfer ticket, you will be immediately kicked from your current server. The transfer process takes approximately 15 minutes. If you have push notifications enabled on your device, then you will receive a notification when your transfer is successfully uploaded. Once uploaded, select the server you'd like to join and navigate to the Spawn Selection screen, where you will find the Download Survivor button. After downloading onto a new server, you will retain your blueprints and implants when you die for 24 hours so you can get established. You also will not be able to transfer again during that 24 hour period. If you are using the Account Link feature, you will only be able to download your Survivor onto a new server using the original device. If you have any further questions about how Server Transfers will work, please let us know in the comments below.

  5. Welcome to the July Cosmetics Update, our first major content update for ARK: Survival Evolved on iOS & Android. This update delivers a wide range of new cosmetic items alongside various bug & stability fixes. You can download the update now from Google Play or the App Store, and keep reading for a more detailed overview. All cosmetic items in this update are obtained through the in-game store, and abide by the following rule sets; Free Engrams come with an Ancient Amber requirement to craft, and items crafted from it can be lost & destroyed. Paid Engrams do not have an Ancient Amber requirement to craft, and items crafted from it can be lost & destroyed. Purchasable Items are bought with Ancient Amber, do not have any crafting requirements, and will be returned to your inventory when lost or destroyed. The Analog Clock and Digital Clock are both purchasable items that can be set to display either the current time on the ARK or the time in the real world. The Analog Clock hangs on a wall, whereas the Digital Clock must be placed on a flat surface. Simple Curtains are purchasable items sold in packs of 4. These patterned curtains can be placed on any window frame and set to open or closed. You can also pick your favorite dye and paint them whatever color you like! Our elegant furniture series offers a variety of pieces that can be used to spruce up any base. The Elegant Lamp is a fully functional purchasable item, while the Elegant Bed, Elegant Table, Elegant Bench and Elegant Chair are all available as free engrams. All of these items work just as you would expect, and the elegant bed even acts as a respawn point with half the cooldown time of a bunk bed. The Weapon Mounts and Armor Stand are a great way to display your finest gear when not in use. The Weapon Mount (Small), Weapon Mount (Large) and Armor Stand are all purchasable items with inventories. When you would like to display a weapon, tool or armor piece, simply open the inventory of the mount or stand and drag your item into its inventory. These items will be removed from your inventory when placed on display, and will even carry over your custom paint jobs & skins! This update includes 5 different creature skin rugs - the Dire Bear Rug, Dodo Rug, Sabertooth Rug, Gigantopithecus Rug and the Titanoboa Rug. These purchasable rugs are all proportionate to the creature's actual size and can be placed on any flat surface, including the ground (Hello Dodo welcome mat!). In addition to making nice decorations, these rugs can also display the attributes of your previously tamed creatures. Insert any Creature Implant from one of these creatures into the corresponding rug's inventory and both your tamed creature's name and color scheme will be displayed for all to see! Our Woven Rugs and Elegant Rugs are all available as purchasable items. Both rugs are available in round and rectangular sizes. All rugs will be made placeable on walls in a future update. These life-sized statues are made of obsidian and serve as great markers of previous accomplishments or warnings to invading enemy tribes. At launch, you can purchase the Carnotaurus Statue, Pteranodon Statue, Kairuku Statue, Spinosaur Statue, Tusoteuthis Statue and Giganotosaurus Statue. All statues can be switched between a variety of different poses, in addition to being paintable and letting you swap between left and right poses. All flourishing gardens need a water source. Introducing the Water Fountain, available as a free engram. This unique variety of water reservoir fills when it rains and requires no electricity or pipes to run. When it's time to plant seeds, why not try out the new Stone Planter, Ceramic Pot, Stone Pot, or Ceramic Planter. These fully functional planters are available as free engrams and can take any seed except for Plant Species X. We thought you might like some new seeds to plant, so we are introducing 4 new types of flowers along with the very unique Snake Plant Seeds. All 5 varieties are available as purchasable items and have the ability to generate more of the same seed and even filter Potent Dust out of the air. When visiting the Garden section of the store, you will find Papaver Seeds (Poppy Flowers), Aconitum Seeds (Monkshood Flowers), Leucanthemum Seeds (Shasta Daisies), and Hemerocallis Seeds (Daylilies). We are also rolling out a selection of three different types of hedges. The Round Hedge, Cone Hedge, and Box Hedge are all available as purchasable engrams. You can snap these cleanly in a row to define your garden, and you may even notice that they make a great hiding spot when wearing a certain type of armor... The pavers are a wonderful way to define walkways around your garden, or even create pathways between structures at your base. All players will find the Gravel Paver engram in the Store free-of-charge, with the remaining pavers available as purchasable engrams. These include the Gravel Half Paver, Brick Paver, Brick Half Paver, Marble Paver, Marble Half Paver, Rock Paver, and Rock Half Paver. Rounding out the Garden Collection is the Trellis Archway, Trellis Fence, Stone Steps, Crop Bed (Round), and Crop Bed (Square). All of these are available as purchasable engrams. You can even stack the Trellis Fence pieces, and use the Stone Steps to replace your ramps! But wait! There's one more item available in the Garden Collection, and we're not quite sure what it does. These Gnomes are sold as purchasable items in packs of 5, and while you can use them to decorate your garden, surely they must have a mysterious property of some sort. These player skins are all available as purchasable items and can only be purchased once per server or in Single Player. These skins cannot be lost and will be returned to your inventory upon death. Right now in the Store, you will find the Chieftan Hat, Captains Hat, DodoRex Mask, and Werewolf Mask. ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENTS This update also brings some additional quality-of-life improvements and community-requested features to the game. We have increased the player expiration timer from 3 days to 7 days to help out those players who are not able to login to the game as frequently as others. Additionally, the server browser will now highlight the most recent server that you played on so you can easily get right back into the action. We are also making improvements to server lag with daily server maintenance from 4:00am - 5:00am local time each day. Finally, we have also fixed some bugs for our PvP players. You will now notice that Auto Turrets properly target incoming Rocket Propelled Grenades, and highlights on enemy tribe tames are now working as intended. FULL PATCH NOTES v1.0.86 (iOS) & v1.0.87 (Android) New cosmetic items have been added to the store! Adorn your base with elegant furniture, weapon & armor mounts. Decorate your base with statues & rugs of your favorite ARK creatures. Build a relaxing garden outside & wear some fancy new accessories! Fixed issues where survivors would lose tamed creatures Server browser highlights most recent server you played on Improvements to server lag with daily server maintenance at 4-5 AM Increased player expiration timer from 3 to 7 days Fixed structure building bugs that were causing inconsistent building Fix for auto turrets targeting rockets Fixed dung beetle AI Fixed bug where two grenades were being consumed Titanosaur can now be fed in single player Fixed fishing whilst using on-screen buttons Fixed enemy tribe tame highlights on PvP servers Fixed misc collision issues Stability fixes

  6. As we approach the third anniversary of ARK Mobile, our team is looking at ways to really set this game up for the long haul. We intend to support this game for many years to come, and there are some changes we need to make so that our relatively small team can support our game more efficiently. Read on to learn about some upcoming changes during the month of March; REMOVAL OF ADS First up, we are removing all in-game ads from ARK Mobile in our next major update. We’ve reached this decision after careful consideration of many factors - most notably privacy concerns with ad tracking, inappropriate ads being served to our players, and the constant need for backend updates to support the latest types of ads. While this will be welcome news to most, we are aware that many players rely on these ads to procure Ancient Amber and Free Gifts, among other instances. As such, the following changes will go live in the next update alongside the removal of ads; Supply Drops will be added to Single Player and PvE, making them available in all game modes. Supply Drops will have an approximate 25% chance to grant a small amount of Ancient Amber to the first player who opens it. Free Gifts will remain in the game and continue to provide a chance at a small gift of Ancient Amber. We are increasing the amount of Ancient Amber that can be obtained from Daily Pursuits by 50% for our Primal Pass holders. STORE REFRESH To coincide with the removal of ads, we will be making some adjustments to the in-game store. Over time our in-game store has grown to include over 175 different items, making the task of browsing all available items quite daunting. With our next update, we are making three key changes; The majority of Skins, Implant Grafts, Decor items, and Collars will be removed from their store folders and placed into our vault. Different vaulted items will appear throughout the week at the top of the store in the slot previously occupied by the Daily Sale Item. A selection of popular items from the above categories will remain available in the store at all times, alongside other favorites & consumables such as Crafting Stations, Balms, Buffs and Tickets. We are adjusting pricing on the majority of items available in the store to account for the removal of ads. These prices will raise approximately 5 - 10%. CHEATS (THE BATTLE CONTINUES…) Our team is well aware of the various cheats and exploits being used across our Multiplayer servers. We are constantly working behind the scenes to address these issues, and we often release updates in secret to combat these exploits and identify those abusing them. We have made a conscious effort to not discuss these changes publicly very often, as we do not want to draw more attention to these cheats or give the cheats’ creators ideas on how we’re detecting them. We are committed to continuing this fight, and will not rest until we can deliver a balanced experience for all of our players. OFFICIAL SERVERS Throughout the year, we evaluate the population of our Official Servers to determine when more servers are needed, and when perhaps we have too many. Last year, when COVID-19 forced the majority of the world into quarantine, we added more Official Servers to accommodate all of the new players joining us. Now that our player population has returned to pre-quarantine numbers, it is time for us to phase out some of our lower population servers. Before we do so, we’ll be launching a batch of new Official Servers and placing the majority of our PvE servers into Moratorium, in order to free up space for our players transitioning off of phased out servers. We’ll follow all of this up with a special Survival Surge event featuring 4x Harvesting on the weekend of March 19th to help these players get established on new servers. New Servers launch on Tuesday, March 9th at 12:00pm EST Server Moratorium will activate on Friday, March 5th at 12:00pm EST until Thursday, March 11th at 12:00pm EST Server Phase Outs will begin on Thursday, March 11th at 12:00pm EST and these servers will be brought down on Thursday, March 18th at 12:00pm EST Survival Surge will be held on all servers beginning on Friday, March 19th and lasting through the weekend NEW SERVERS We are happy to introduce the oft-requested PvP Duos servers to ARK Mobile on March 9th. These highly competitive servers have Tribe Alliances turned off and allow for tribe sizes of just 2 Survivors. Boosted rates are permanently active on these servers just as they are on Small Tribes variants. We’ll be launching one Easy server in each region to start alongside a handful of additional servers listed below; Dyad - Duo (PvP - Easy - NA) Dyad - Duo (PvP - Easy - EU) Dyad - Duo (PvP - Easy - AS) Dyad - Duo (PvP - Easy - ANZ) Jerboa Sanctuary (PvXc - Medium - ANZ) Artemis (PvE - Easy - NA) Athena (PvE - Medium - NA) Poseidon (PvE - Hard - NA) Tectonic - Casual (PvXc - Medium - NA) MORATORIUM All Official PvE and PvX servers not in the Phase Out list below will be placed into Server Moratorium from Friday, March 5th at 12:00pm EST through Thursday, March 11th at 12:00pm EST. During Moratorium, no structures can be placed and no creatures can be tamed. SERVER PHASE OUTS Beginning on March 11th at 12:00pm EST, the servers listed below will be placed into Phase Out. Once the Phase Out process begins, players will have 7 days to transfer off of these servers. No new players will be able to join these servers, and all existing players will be given access to a Free Server Transfer Ticket in the in-game store. The Free Server Transfer Ticket allows for a free revival on each of your tame implants and has also been adjusted to allow your Element balance & Dungeon Keys to come with you (*You will not see the Element or Keys listed in your Server Transfer Ticket UI, but it will come with you so long as it is in your inventory when you upload the Ticket). As a reminder, when transferring off of one of these servers, please make sure that the creature implants you decide to bring with you are from tames which are personally owned. Any implants from creatures not personally owned will revive as wild and incur the standard Amber revival cost. You must revive a personally owned creature implant on the new server to avoid the revival cost and maintain it's tame status. The entire Server Transfer Ticket FAQ can be found here. SERVERS BEING PHASED OUT (MARCH 11th) Artifact (PvE - Medium - AS) Carno Island (PvP - Medium - AS) Craftsmen (PvE - Medium - AS) Dahkeya’s Retreat (PvP - Easy - AS) Diana’s Garden (PvP - Easy - AS) Dire Archipelago (PvP - Medium - AS) Engram (PvE - Easy - AS) Forge (PvE - Medium - NA) Grand Peak (PvX - Easy - EU) Grand Peak (PvX - Easy - AS) Grand Peak (PvX - Easy - NA) Hidden Lake (PvE - Medium - AS) Hidden Lake (PvE - Medium - NA) Lamentation (PvX - Medium - NA) Mejoberry (PvP - Easy - AS) Noctis (PvE - Medium - AS) Northeast Shores (PvE - Easy - AS) Oasis (PvX - Medium - AS) Oasis (PvX - Medium - EU) Oasis (PvX - Medium - NA) Obelisk (PvE - Hard - AS) Pearl (PvP - Easy - EU) Potent (PvE - Medium - AS) Prime (PvX - Hard - NA) Rockwell Manor (PvE - Easy - AS) Southern Haven (PvE - Easy - EU) Southern Islets (PvE - Easy - AS) Stamina (PvP - Medium - AS) Stimulant (PvP - Easy - AS) Water Jar (PvE - Easy - NA) Western Approach (PvE - Easy - EU) Winter’s Mouth (PvE - Hard - AS)

  9. Our upcoming April Update will bring some changes to the Soothing Balm economy - both major and minor. Over the past year since we first released our Beta, we’ve noticed that many players do not need the full 10x power of a standard Soothing Balm. As such, we are introducing the brand-new Minor Soothing Balm, which provides a 3x taming boost for the lower price of just 10 Ancient Amber. On the flip-side of this, we are also introducing Major Soothing Balm to better help those of you who are taming more difficult creatures, such as the Giganotosaurus and Brontosaurus. Major Soothing Balm will provide a 15x taming boost and cost 40 Ancient Amber. The standard Soothing Balm will be replaced by these new Balms in the in-game store in the April Update, though it will remain available from other in-game sources such as Free Gifts and Pursuit rewards. You will still keep any that are currently in your inventory or storage containers when the update is released. See you on the Island, Jordan War Drum Studios
