  1. Alright... We're all disappointed and mad and all, it makes sense if you think about it. Though for me personally it just doesn't seem serious anymore, the whole thing about ASA... The game is supposedly coming out in like 7 days max, at least based on what we've heard. Now, you guys as developers probably know better than anyone else how to manage an upcoming game, I'm not disagreeing, but... Straight up telling us that the trailer, the very thing that gives us hope to believe ASA is real, is ready and then suddenly being like "Oh, looks like that's another Friday where you're not gonna be able to see any in-game footage, not even something we said is done" (for whatever reason you've got over there)? I'm not mad anymore, I'm only questioning wether it's worth believing this is an actual upcoming game, and wether you guys know how we feel about all this.

  2. Are you serious right now? We are a little over 1 week away from the supposed launch of ASA and we dont have a launch trailer. Hell we dont even know the system requirements. If this game doesnt come out by the end of october then ASE will be dead because of the contract they signed with Nitrado. We got no information whatsoever. What gives.

  3. Been playing for a couple years now. Never really got on this page mostly watched youtubers covering the details. First time in a long while I've been excited for a game release. I could forgive the no trailer release if it wasn't stated that the trailer is already finished. This has been the only modern day game I could easily sink thousands of hours into and still enjoy. All that being said I made an account here after coming to the websites in hope of a trailer that has no business being delayed with no explanation. I've been around long enough to know not to trust the promises made by the wildcard studios. It seems I was foolish to think the expansion of the franchise meant we could expect a more prompt and professional demeanor from this studio. While the accolades of the devs and the franchise are something to be proud of the relationship with their community has been tarnished. No matter how good a game is if you cannot meet the expectations of your consumers/community it is doomed to fail. I for one have lost a considerable amount of enthusiasm and drive to play even ASE. (Recently started over to try to beat the game before the release of ASA)

  4. A week ahead of launch....the trailer is ready....and your still not showing it? How close can you seriously leave it till we see something? You are awful to your community.

  5. I'm very anxious because of this lack of information about the ASA, but I confess that it also leaves me full of expectations to be surprised by something really incredible.

  6. How is it during this week you all post a in-game picture and the CEO says "guess what I just watched" and this crunch you have a concept art of dino we won't even see for a year anyways? This was very disappointing and felt like a step backwards than forward. All of this backlash is on you for leading everyone too think we will be seeing a trailer today, I've been very supportive of Asa but this one really hurt bad guys!

  7. The Dreadnoughtus looks pretty sick but but ASA looks..... Non-existent! Honestly, this is the worst marketing in history. If ASA is not ready, then why the hell did WC take ASE away from us??? If ASA IS ready, then why have we ONLY seen concept art and a single screen shot (which we dont even know if its in-game). I mean, I already know I will buy the stupid game as most of us will but what kind of marketing strategy are you guys planning here? How can we possibly be this close to launch without even knowing what the game will look like? Do you guys just not care if you lose a big chunk of your player base or are you assuming that we will all buy it no matter what? Maybe the game looks like absolute poop and they are too embarrassed to post in-game footage! I'm honestly so let down right now I dont even want to play ASE any more......

  8. First of all, congratulate the winning dinosaur. On the other hand it seems that they don't want to sell the game, I don't care if they publish the trailer next week or not, it seems that someone likes to have their forum full of negative comments. 😡😡😡😡😡

  9. So hear me out they want to use ASA as a way of generating more revenue for ark 2 and hopefully revive the player base of the game. But they are kind of shooting themselves in the foot here with the lack of information. I imagine that the only people who will end up playing ark survival ascended are the die hard fans that are following it. While there will be no increase in new players like they hope because there is just no information or advertisement of it anywhere. I hope WC isn't o disappointed in the outcome of the ASA player base when they are actively shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to the game.

  14. Title: The Frustration of Silence: Wildcard's Decision to Withhold a Trailer Introduction In the world of gaming and entertainment, the anticipation of new releases often reaches a fever pitch long before the official launch. Fans eagerly await trailers, teasers, and other promotional materials that offer a glimpse into the exciting worlds and experiences they are about to explore. However, in the case of Wildcard, the game developer behind the highly popular "ARK: Survival Evolved," the decision to withhold a trailer has left many fans frustrated and disappointed. This essay explores the reasons why Wildcard's choice to keep their audience in the dark is a missed opportunity and a letdown for the community. Lost Hype and Anticipation One of the primary reasons why Wildcard's decision not to release a trailer is considered a disappointment is the lost opportunity to build excitement and anticipation among their fan base. Trailers are a powerful tool for generating hype and piquing the curiosity of gamers. They allow players to visualize the game's world, its mechanics, and its potential for adventure. Without a trailer, this essential aspect of the pre-launch experience is missing, leaving fans feeling disconnected and unengaged. Lack of Transparency Transparency in game development is crucial for building trust between developers and their audience. By withholding a trailer, Wildcard inadvertently sends the message that they are not willing to share their progress or vision with the players. In an era where players have become more invested in the development process and appreciate open communication, this lack of transparency can lead to frustration and distrust. Missed Marketing Opportunity Game trailers are not just about excitement; they also serve as valuable marketing tools. A well-executed trailer can attract new players and expand the game's community. By not releasing a trailer, Wildcard is missing out on an opportunity to reach potential players who may not be familiar with their game. This oversight can impact the game's success and its ability to grow and thrive. Incomplete Information A game's trailer often provides a sneak peek into the gameplay, graphics, and storyline. Without this crucial piece of information, players are left in the dark, relying on fragmented details from other sources. This lack of comprehensive information can make it difficult for players to decide whether the game aligns with their preferences and interests. Incomplete information can lead to lower pre-orders and reduced enthusiasm for the game. Community Alienation The gaming community is known for its passionate and vocal members. When developers choose not to release a trailer, they risk alienating their own fan base. Players who have been eagerly following a game's development may feel ignored or dismissed, which can lead to a breakdown in the developer-community relationship. Conclusion Wildcard's decision not to release a trailer for their game has left many gamers frustrated and disappointed. The absence of a trailer means a lack of excitement, transparency, marketing opportunities, complete information, and, most importantly, the risk of alienating the very community that has supported the game. While there may be reasons for this decision, it's essential for developers to recognize the significant impact of such choices on their audience and the overall success of their game. In a gaming industry that values open communication and engagement, withholding a trailer may indeed prove to be a missed opportunity that can have long-lasting consequences.

  16. So are we going to ever get actual news or just the same nothing over and over? Also the fan art can go on a forum post or something, you're just using it to fluff up a nothing post and it's annoying scrolling through things that 90% of the community doesn't care about.

  19. I’m hoping that ASA will have better accessibility features compared with ASE. The biggest issues I have is the font size and the size of engrams and hotbars. Another problem I have is with reading the white text on a blue background. i’m hoping that there will be options to make the fonts larger (larger than current largest size in ASE) and potentially an option to make text bold. it would also be good to be able to customise the color of the UI (so when you open the implant) and then have a colour best suited for you.

  21. What scares me is the high number of games releasing with bad performance, will ark ASA be one of them? I don't expect perfect optimization but I fear a city skylines 2 like scenario, the game is simply unplayable. I couldn't stand the constant stuttering in CS2 review videos and canceled my pre-order of top edition, I hope ARK 2 ASA is not like that.

  22. Thankyou for showing us the new dino which is going to be on a map which isnt even going to be on available on asa when its released... very helpful. 🥴🤬😣😫🥱

  23. Why do you feel the need to address a single person in a public forum just because they didn't agree with your comments in the past and showed it? Do you care that much? Or do you seek confirmation of all the others in here? Plus, you know you are in bad shape if you spend your time looking at all the reactions of all the posts.

  28. So where's the big thing to look forward to regarding ASA this Friday aye? Idk, I guess take the discord with a grain of salt at this point. Millions of people are going to be very displeased if the trailer doesn't come out within the next 4 days. They'll have less than a week to find out PC specs if it doesn't. Another option is just blatantly saying "oh hey by the way if you actually want to play the game without fire hazards use this" so people would buy it. Lots of busy people need these dates early so they can plan to be there at launch. Maybe it's just the final certification being a day or so late but still the hourglass is running dry and hype is unbelievably unstable. You all got us very amped with your trailer praise, and the raptor, and the discord notes but advertising the wiki and the dreadnoughtus concept... while cool they really just slammed us with distrust, worry, and irritation. You've got less than 2 weeks before release and 4 days to release a trailer before the community kinda explodes in fury again. This whole project has been elusive and destructive to the community. Idk, I love the game but i wish i had more faith in what you people of the team publicly say. I'd love ASA to be successful but it can't be as good as it could if all of the PC players are delayed because they need parts. Plus that would hurt the community mentality even more. Again Idk I'm not as angry as others just disappointed and not sure what to think of the current situation. Even a "hey its still in cert but on track or we are updating the trailer with dates because cert finished" would have avoided all the poor reactions in the comments for this crunch. I just hope post release you all could be a little more straightforward. Tell us what you want us to know and if you can't say anything, say that you can't say anything. Denial is better than radio silence. Whatever is happening behind these imaginary curtains, good luck and work hard you're almost there. I'm sure the team has probably reached a near breaking point trying to make this is what 7 months? - a survivor worried about his next journey's start and the people making it possible.

  29. Why exactly is being able to view a wiki page in a different color newsworthy? Why is there no pertinent information for the people wondering about ASA a little over a week from the proposed release time?

  36. Skins on a website? You mean themes... Not even a dossier to go with the dino. Way to go... Very informative about a wiki page. But we all know Dododex is the go to ark app. Glad this game will be coming to gamepass because I'm not gonna re-buy everything just because.

  41. Yup ASA isnt coming this year. I bet my hat. There's no way these out-of-pocket clowns are 20 days into Oct with ZERO game assets shared (other than half a screenshot of a raptor) and plan on releasing in less than 10 days. Looks like a 2024 release for sure.

  46. I join official PvE servers a little before scorched earth released. I know of the sunset of, the then, official servers that became legacy servers which they eventually shut down. And the sunset of official servers that happened recently. If there was another time they done it, I don't know of it. I have very fond memories from legacy servers and official. The way each server is shaped by the people on it. I just don't want to keep restarting from scratch every time they feel like it. If I did then I'd go play PvP. The way people were heart-broken when offical servers were shut down, leaving somewhere they have spent significant amounts of time, is understandable. I don't play ark unless it's official. I get bored when I play unofficial.
