How can you think positively about ASA if you don't know anything? (they'd already pay for it if it were possible) and it's based on the words WC/SG. Yes, but maybe just on the drawing table, be realistic and look at the transition time of UE4 to UE5, WC/SG entered UE5 but couldn't fix UE4? (Suddenly wants to perform a miracle With the transformation of eu4 ASE to eu5 ASA). How long does it take to convert a mod to UE5 10 minutes (I know it's more and please don't comment, this time it's a copy paste example)? We don't know anything else, no gameplay, literally nothing but the words of WC/SG, which I don't trust for many reasons anyway. ASA will become a VIP game at first, because not everyone can afford such an expensive game change. The advantage of PCs over consoles is still significant, even though the prices of components are not cheap. But ASA will be balanced in every way but only in favor of WC/SG. As for me, it looks rather like that you'll get to work from the end (the painter paints the car to later disassemble and modify it, and only to have a new photo to announce I will sell the car xD). WC/SG is doing just such a thing, drawing to sell it to us. Have you ever bought a car based on a picture alone? You were not interested in important aspects of engine power, condition, etc.? Because the seller described it as great even though it has 1 million kilometers of mileage?

A lot of old games don’t just go away. And it is a lot of time invested. I get it they want to update and upgrade their stuff to keep it fresh. The the fact remains you have the price of the game and the add ons then… oop we are shutting it all down so now you can play solo or go to an unofficial pc session. Well not all unofficial sessions are gonna allow you to upload your stuff character maybe but not stuff. So your options are to play alone on a solo session or start over on an unofficial server. Then have to buy Ark2 and still start over some people have more than 5 years in and to lose it all is a joke Ark can see what you have and give it back to you. They just don’t care and won’t until they see the lack of players after the BS! I can’t tell you have many have called it quits already and don’t want the second game. I took a week and a half hiatus and stuff was auto decayed and I didn’t even try to fix it I messaged ppl to see if they wanted my stuff. Such a crap shoot .

mmmmm - this thread has drifted from @ladymarina's topic. The thread is directed (if I understood correctly) mostly at the loss of time spent on official servers (which as it stands is not easily retained for console peeps) And the loss of "friends" that one has played with for many years which is an unstated but real issue. So to revert to (my view on) OP's "intent" - I personally think that some statement of intent out of Wildcard around save games for console is REQUISITE. Further, it would be great if there were published a "dummy's guide to running a console server" by Wildcard. This would "show willing" and maybe take away some of the pain felt by long term console peeps ?

Um nooo..... Petition websites don't show just that and it's not just YouTube It's Game informer etc other gaming reviewers as well. Also as I said there are two petition websites that are showing all of the Ark players names that have signed the petition. change.org etc. so no it's not always the case. Even if the media companies were trying to hype things up. all the information that they have been saying is factual. People were saying that wc/sg was an independent company they were once were, but now they have made over a billion dollars and revenue which means that they should be able to do something about Ark SE instead of just trying to drop it. The gaming companies and community and people are waiting for them an answer to all of problems that have arisen and what they're going to do about it.

Well that's fine for you but there are people who might actually want to stay with Ark ASE, in doing so do not want to play ASA because of what wild card is doing " like me ". That's great you found an unofficial dedicated server as you said, to actually play on. In My experience I have had nothing but negative players who harassed me, servers being put down because the owner of the server could not have pay for it, a server that was basically left to its own fruition and dealing with hackers who harass you and the admin is nowhere to be found. The server I am on now actually has a lot of players who got tired of unofficial. It has no AI or anything to monitor it you would just be relying on the admin so unlike official where they have an AI who protects it against hackers etc since I've been on official servers I haven't had that many problems at all. Except for the glitching cutting off when you're playing etc. Those echo chambered YouTubers are the ones that basically boosted WC/ SG popularity. Because of these YouTubers WC/SG were able to get new players which they still do. Also still haven't taken it off the Market). I have met so many players that are coming in that are unaware that they just spent money on the game and Dlcs. Oh and I know some play on Game pass so you don't need to tell me about that either. Oh yes there are also several partitions that have quite a few people who are against it I signt petition where there's over 7, 000 signatures. So no people are standing up for it it's just they're not doing it on here and that's why I'm doing it on here.

I don't want anyone to vote for me. I am trying to speak on anyone's behalf that doesn't like what Their doing. From when Wc/Sg stated this. There Were Ark players who were talking about how this was wrong and got met with hostility. I've experienced this first hand. I understand what you are saying. I'm not on here voting or anything. I speak for those who got shot down when they tried to speak up too. True I can't make those decisions for those people.

I am standing up for the people who don't have the time to talk in the forums, who do not want to deal with the negativity that I am dealing with. It is not a honest or positive discussion when you call people entitled , banging their head on a brick wall etc. Instead of replying to my posts they should have just ignored them. I haven't dismissed anyone. I have seen everyone's viewpoints and I have my own. When you bring in passive aggressive insults that is a negative. There is a positive way to talk to people and so far I have not seen that because I won't back down or shut up. There are tons of people on YouTube and everywhere else who understand what's going on but don't reply on forums. The facts are this we have some Ark players on here who really want the game. Which is fine. but these players are very aggressive when it comes to other people's opinions about what is happening. Which is sad.

GP's point is dull, to be sharp it would need to discuss where the players are expressing their feelings, which he correctly states here ain't the place, since it is clearly visible ,there is less than 100 or so peeps posting any 'feelings' here. Simple search of youtube for any recent 'comment's about feelings' about ASE/ASA/ARK2 and you can find 20-30,000 harsh feelings, with maybe 100's good feelings, with 10's and 20's of 'I dunno' feelings. and Discord and Reddit is a mirror image of youtube 'feelings', so would says ladymarina is closer to expressing what a 'majority' of players are feeling than this forum is.

Pipin Saying someone is on there high horse is not an honest conversation to me. It's just another passive aggressive way to say I'm being entitled. Which I'm not at all. Did you here me say anything about a high horse. Whining or moaning entitled etc. Banging my head on a brickwall...... NO. I understood exactly what was said. I was saying ok that was their opinion. And that there are people that are doing the exact opposite. That there are people unhappy as well with WC/SG. That don't reply on the forums as well. Um that's what I'm saying. No not exactly. Not a different meaning at all GP. Just opposite of me ..... I'm confused what am I making it out to be? I clearly just answered you. I'm speaking for Most of the players that don't agree with what WC/SG are doing. If you want to say that on behalf of the players who want ASA fine. That's your choice and opinion. Also I'm not telling or showing any hostility to anybody either. Check the forums it's the ones who so called want the ASA game. I have a right to explain concerns etc.

High horse? Most players?I don't think so. WC/SG has not shown or proven anything. Just that they want to drop the game. Those are not facts at all gp. I never said anything about the players who want to play the game. I said the players who were concerned unhappy with what is going on. As I said I have the right protest. I don't like what's about to happen. If you don't like what I am saying don't reply. Just the like the people you say don't reply who want to play the game. Just like you say there are players happy about Asa. There are a lot of players who are not including game at magazines etc. So that's nothing new. I haven't showed any hostility to anyone. Well that might be your opinion. But sometimes they are heard. People just need to come together instead of knowing something is wrong ang just idly sit by and let it happen. PERIOD. The thing is to let companies, organizations etc know that you know what they're doing is wrong and it's not right.

Dirkin if you believe that what is going on in your state wrong speak up. Find others that are in the same situation you are in. Start a petition. Let your self be heard. It doesn't matter. Don't ever settle for less. Wrong is wrong. Even from a company

Have you looked at what they are doing? Didn't they say for people who have the game they would get a free upgrade? For a game that is going to end in less than 4 months why are they allowing new gamers to still purchase the game when it's going to end? Making us pay for an upgraded version of the game at the price of a new game, when we already paid for the first game. Answer this?

I have been playing since year 1. Been through a couple of server shut downs but was not built up like I am now. Tek bases on 4 maps, over 1500 dinos, and you, Wildcard are shutting the servers down to wipe them to bring them back up for RE5. That's a joke. I be damn if I pay another cent on your game. The hours invested, the breeding, the raising, and ect. Not this guy. Really, I think you will lose alot of your dedicated player base. Wildcard, look at it from a players perspective. Would you want to spend $50 plus for the same game you already own? Real Engine 5 is on you and not the player base. You will not get my money. If you will do it once, you will do it twice. I would bet most dedicated players would rather keep what they have instead of getting a video driver update and loss all they had. You can incorporate a new video driver without a server wipe. Ask Nvidia, they do it alot. My thoughts are my own and do not reflect anyother players opinions or thoughts.

My view - wrong. Just a very upset person that is gonna be forced to change their habits by things beyond their control. And wants to shout about it in the hope that someone (that can do something about it) listens. Kinda like me shouting about the dodgy country I live in where electrics is supplied for a varied time in the day (ranging from 90% to 50% being "on" in a day). This is something I can address - by spending a fortune on alternative power like solar. But the root of the issue is out of my control. And it forces me to change my "habits". So should the likelyhood of my shout having zero impact stop me from shouting. For me - the answer is no. So more more power to @ladymarina. Maybe at the very least the noise coming from there will nudge wild card to make some kind of plan for console dudes come shutdown that does not involve spending $ on a rented server somewhere .........

Hmm That's your opinion 🤔 I guess. I will keep voicing my opinions. Those are choices they are forcing. They need to stop in take in consideration that what they are trying to do, it's un ethical.

I see so much of this bs and always from people who never played official, and if they did it was for a couple of months, realized they were no good at it and ran off to boosted cheat city lol. Official is the only way to play ark, the true grind. Pfft amateurs

still no announce in store pages nor ingame, people buying the game and joining official without knowing anything about shutdown. Really, this is a deceptive behaviour.
