  2. ( Photograph taken by Thomas Vattakaven ) I imagine it would look similar to this, with a similar function to titanoboa eating a egg. The male would be picked up, instant killed, then harvested. This way it cannot be a thing of breeding high health to get rid of this idea, but instead its always a risk when breeding them. This is to act as a nerf for Maevia to make sure it isn't a spam breedable anti-player creature.

  3. I blame joe. He spilled coffee all over the map again and we missed like three turns.

  4. I have ARK MOBILE. Never got Swamp Fever...

  5. Barry is the best overall I'd say. It's present in pretty much every map and does it all, speed, jump, water, combat, shoot from the back. It also stuns the ever present sharks/crocs/piranhas if you feel like using something to tame stuff under water further down the line. Maewing is available in less maps and it's main utility traversing around.

  6. Thing is, the people here are passionate about the game. Nothing wrong with that. A lot of us have been around going on 8 years. It's been a trip. Some need to remember it's just a video game.

  7. I love it!! I been treating Terror Birds like Chocobo (birds from Final Fantasy; Based off Moa), now we have the Real Thing! However I don't like the 'Platform Saddle Concept' that looks stupid. How about a Tent Saddle instead? Like the Tent Saddle used on Camels and Elephants?

  8. If this became an early game platform saddle that would be amazing

  9. I'm hoping this one makes it to the top. I would like something different and fun added. Not just another fighting dino. I play single player most of the time, so something that is utilitarian and helps make survival easier.

  10. People have the right to voice their opinions. You telling them to put up or shut up isn't doing anyone any good. The fact that there's a big enough base of people that think this and cause SWC to change (kinda, not really) the way they're selling ASA and Ark 2 says a lot. You even mention seeing this complaint a lot. People are upset and are trying to do something to make SWC change their minds.

  11. I stil don't understand one thing: why is it impossible create remastered ARK as DLC (paid $60)? New map e.g. Island 2.0 with the possibility of transferring some object: BP, cryo with a creature... I don't belive it's unrealizable. BP is just a list of material...

  12. While it breaks my heart to see almost 8 years of work disappear, it also brings some relief that my friends and I won't have to refresh multiple servers twice a week. That being said, if you're going to rerelease Ark with a new coat of paint, I hope you take the opportunity to fix some long-enduring issues, my two biggest concerns being: 1. Pillar spam. Please change how territory claiming works; it can be a single structure that gives you a set area that you're allowed to build inside, which can potentially be upgraded to allow more space and/or structures. 2. Fix the building from the ground up. Stackable foundations like those in S+ would be a great start. We love this game and the community that you've helped to build. Please continue to make it the best it can be.

  13. $60 for ASA and DLC's... A2 price comes later... Still losing official character progress in Aug.. Here's a new dino you get to lose in 2 months... Neat.

  14. Losing our progress and then paying to play the same game to start from zero again. I'm out. I'll be enjoying ASE until August and then byebye. At least I hope the saves from the server shutdown work well, I'd like to have them but I'm not going to play single player. If I can migrate data from the 80s and 90s to 2020s technology in my job, you can do it with the saves too. They are not that old. But you don't want to do it.

  15. Galaxy brain indeed. Now they get 60 for ASA and then later another 70 for Ark 2.. I can not believe the level of arrogance I am seeing here. It almost feels punitive in a way.

  16. you guys don't get it at all. if you wanna listen to your player base then listen to this https://petitions.eko.org/petitions/save-ark-official-servers?source=rawlink&utm_source=rawlink&share=48ba756b-054a-4d72-b7d6-c2233f9aab4e&fbclid=IwAR3ysnu-xXsQxsIPuvwT0ALvYobX6K0Gw9nzMbSFVLk66A60TiYGco8UlFc over 5k of your players want to save the official servers. the other issue also isn't the price, its the fact that one of your CEOs said one thing and ya'll are now backpedaling on it. without even addressing what was said. also address the sunsetting, what do ya'll mean by sunsetting? are our dinos and bases going to remain in single player and unoffical? is our chars just gonna transfer over. what about tribes? will only the owner of the tribe get the save and bases and dinos? address these please before moving forward with the sunsetting.

  17. No no, they definitely understood the frustration. This is them doubling down. People thought the price was because of the inclusion of ARK2. That's not the case and they are making that very apparent. They've removed the inclusion of ARK 2 and increased the price anyways. It's a big middle finger they're trying to pass off as a favor to us.

  18. I hope it goes over well, but if im being honest the more and more i Read about it the more worried it makes me. I've been a part of this community since the very start. Day 1 of Early Access. That's a long time, and despite all the bumps we have had over time, watching the game develop into the success that it is has been a positive journey that has given me thousands of hours of gameplay. That said, for me at least, Ark is a survival sandbox with dinosaurs. Thats the Identity of the IP for me. I play ark because thats what I like. If I wanted to play dark souls I would play Dark souls. If I wanted to play Monster Hunter, I would play Monster Hunter ect ect. Ark offers something very unique to the survival sandbox genre that no other game really does. So my big concern here is that Ark 2 seems to be a huge departure from what Ark is and from that Identity we have all grown to love as a community of going on 8 years now (man time sure flies). For me, even if Ark 2 is a good game, it still wont be Ark. I also worry about them leaning so heavily into a curated PvE experience. Even if it ends up being good, these types of games have a shorter lifespan usually than sandboxes where you are expected to make your own fun do. Just look at Rust, that game is ancient, and its more popular than ever. I feel that ending support for Ark 1 is a mistake because they seem to be 2 different experiences entirely, and it leaves Wildcard in a vulnerable position, should Ark 2 not be well received. With just how different Ark 2 is looking to be, there are going to be some (maybe a lot even) of players who dont like it and will want to go back to Ark 1, which wont get support anymore. It's so risky. Ultimately, I think what I really want from Wildcard is to redo Ark 1. Better coding, UE5, Better optimization, Bug fixes, a real balance overhaul, fix the flaws in the game design as best they can ect (as much as people don't like Tek, pre Tek Ark had some really big issues too which tek really helped to alleviate). I look at Ark and then at Rust and I wonder why Ark cant be like Rust in that it gets constant updates. I would be willing to accept (hell, even support ) a similar method of monetization (a selection of player made skins being sold in the shop with a revenue split between Wildcard and the creator) to pay for the continued support and perhaps even additional content. I respect the creative vision behind Ark 2 and will give Ark 2 a shot, but, I worry it might be too different from the core identity of Ark as an IP to be received well by a lot of people.

  19. I doubt it will be a hit. Most ark players I have spoken too want a reworked version of ark 1, remove the meshing, cheating, bugs, exploits etc and start primitive again. What we get is some mixture of darksouls with dinosaurs. I Truly do not see this work for the current player base. Just look at what happened to other popular games in the past, if you go to far from the original game you loose players.

  20. They can it's easy many people have proven this with less money and less of a team they're just being lazy and wanting a cash grab but in doing so they are going to ensure they're complete and total destruction there has been many people that have already written about this and have already done the statistics about it both in essay and in video form

  23. Very much true, especially in today's political climate. But back on subject. The vote ends in just 3 days if I'm not mistaken. Any way to see which creature is in the lead?

  24. And with that you have both proven to be too immature to contribute anything of substance or relevance... I'll just ignore you two since it's the best course of action to all people still CRYING over absolutly nothing.

  26. How is your math man. This deal is better overall as all the DLCs is included for the price. No remaster has ever been free. All other companies charge so why should Studio Wildcard not? I could not care less about the price tbh because I love this game and would pay 500$ if they had asked.

  27. Very incredible to see Wildcard. You've been listening to the community a lot more than usual these past 2 years. Very proud of all of you. I greatly look forward to what is to come in Ark Ascended. Take all the time you need. If ASA must be delayed I know it would be for the greater good. I know you guys have it in you. I couldn't be happier to hear that the servers are going to die. The game has been screaming kill me for years now. It needs to lay to rest.
