I have always leveled mine in nursing effectiveness and weight. Not much in weight though, only about 5000 since they will black box before they reach the max weight. As far as the 'enable nursing', as long as the babies are within the trough area (green ring), then the babies will eat. From what I've noticed the nursing effectiveness only expands the area of the 'trough' from the maewing. As far as the out of render question, I have successfully logged off or gone to other servers or out of render and have not lost a baby yet. Just make sure there is plenty of the right kind of food in the maewing.

here are the problems sorted from mildly annoying to critical bugs 1. the game doesn't remember the intro cutscenes you have already seen so everytime you move from a canonical map to another you get the same intro over and over again 2. when you check an explorer note you already got, the VO starts but there is no way to stop the VO even if you close the explorer note menu 3. CRITIAL BUGS WITH SCORCHED EARTH ascension : after ascension your dinos taken to boss arena disappear and so do your hard earned elements this 3rd bug is truly something, it seems like the devs have completely lost touch with the gameplay mechanics of ARK and can't be bothered to test anything they do at this point

I want to add that I think there is a bug or there was a bug when putting food in babies inventory as well as Maewing inventory, when on nursing. Then somehow the baby wont eat from neither its own inventory nor the Maewing inventory. Probably when out of render. So just put food into the Maewing only. I might have been an idiot or whatever and this bug isnt even real...

Select 'show nursing range' on Maewing, babies inside the green ring will be fed. However babies seated will eat from that maewing as a priority iirc

So the pouch is only for convenience transporting babies then, not neccessarily for nursing ?

I love playing Ark. I enjoy all the different animals, breeding options, and lots of other aspects of the game. I would really like to see an expansion on the building options. A wooden table, bench and chair leaves a lot to be desired when you build a high function base that would accommodate troops. The bunk beds are a good asset, tek pods are great. I enjoy building bases but they need some decor. Not frilly stuff, but functional stuff. Transformer style. A gazebo that will turn into a prison cell when an enemy goes in, plants like tameable giant Venus Fly Traps(you gather the seed and the ones you grow are tame to you). Just different things on that order.
