  1. Most of us has heard about the new map coming soon™ I was wondering others views as personally i would love it to be a 'primitive' map up to metal tier but without any tek, including 'tek creatures' (manas, space things etc) just a proper ark original dino map. I love the convenience of tek, but i would love to go back to a dinosaur game, not sci-fi space shooter, which is impossible to play on official now. I don't know if i'm alone on this thought, but does anyone else share this view?

  2. To the best of my knowledge and minimal testing, no, melee damage does not affect yield. Which does make sense, in the same way that our own melee doesn't affect the damage of our guns. As for what to level, I'd say it's a matter of preference: Charge capacity is an obvious QoL, but can easily be achieved with a couple of batteries in its inventory instead. Weight is likewise a possible benefit, to hold secondary resources while the main one gets sent on to the tek box, but how much this actually benefits you is situational. Might get more value here on a high level, I'm guessing. Spee

  3. I've been playing Ark for years and I think that an excellent creature could be Homotherium. Homotherium is a prehistoric mammalian predator that was know for hunting large mammals. In Ark, it could be a creature that is built to fight mammals. It could have a buff called "Mammal Ruler" that increases its damage by 50% against mammals. It has increased damage resistance by 40% when attacked by mammals. It could have a bleed that drains health and stamina by 1% over 10 seconds per stack (stacking up to 5 times) that also stacks up to 10 times on mammals and instead drains 2% health and stamina

  4. They seem to report taking a lot of action against cheaters, i cant find the post but if it true, then it would could be much worse. I think someone needs to go back the board and come up with effective solutions to this problem because as you have said, online pvp is beyond playable. Unless the answer to the problem was, ark 2?

  5. Version 4.0.0.13 now available. http://www.miragesoftware.co.uk/Ark/Apps/ArkViewer2021-4-13.zip Changes Implemented NLog framework and added log output for various important functions. Fixed the sftp issue of it not updating. sftp retrieval used to use the loaded mapname.ark to identify the .ark file to download from the server. In the later versions I changed this so that it no longer stored the extension - but forgot to update the sftp to add it back on. @StevenB Re-added the "unhandled" error screen. FYI if you do encounter problems please update your NLog.

  8. I've tried both high and low levels and didnt see much difference other than QoL. Higher level may carry more before slot cap, of have slightly longer between charging but yield is about the same

  9. Weird, guessing I'm hiding some errors further down in the call stack as you should have had a messagebox showing what the actual error was - not just the "Load Content Failed"!. Will look into it after work today.

  10. PVE Rag official Rolled up the sleeves yesterday and did some grunt work... gathered mats and made a bunch of foundations, walls, pillars, etc for the new base build and have them in storage. My tribe-mate will be doing the building on the new base and I am just the supplier of goods and materials. So I have a ton of grinding ahead of me and am thankful for the 3x rates starting tomorrow with the summer bash event. This morning I didn't have much time before work so I flew up to the Rag ice cave for the first time and cleared the big cavern of loot drops. I am looking for a rex sa

  12. Hi Mirage. For info: Version 3.x used to take 25 minutes to process my Ragnarok map. Version 4.x is taking 16 minutes - which is great Your recent work on changing the backend of ASV has really paid off. Many Thanks.

  13. As new breeder I have learnt to ignore the "traditional" value. All what counts are the points, the final number is not useful, so why use it? I do not name my dinos like "HP-10123, M-500", I name them like "HP-30, M-30". Can only hope Wildcard introduces point-view for tames too like in the incubator, so that I don't have to do always Alt-Tab for calculating points.

  14. Since my state is in lockdown (NSW Australia) I’ve had a lot more time to play, so I finished up enough of my Theri and Rex army to do Gamma Broodmother, smoked it , planning to grab the last artifact needed (Pack) to do easy Ape…though I am considering going straight for Beta coz I need that Tek Generator unlocked. Built my Tek Replicator, crafted a ton of tek foundation’s and expanded my base, coming along nicely so far. Later today I’m going to start raising a Shadowmane army for bosses since the raise time is fairly low

  16. Through the years many of us have played with interest and intrigue as new content was released. Whether it was a new tame, new map, new items or even a patch that introduced dino utilities. All of which has kept us playing regardless of cheater's in all their forms and varied preferred methods.. but the release of gen2 has proven to be a new challenge for the player base with issue after issue plaguing the community. The issues: Voidwyrms - continue to committe suicide after interacting with you, they randomly flee heading towards the center of the void releasing acid killing all in its

  19. They can breed (I even have a bred adult one, and three or four babies/juvies in the fridge), but they don't have color regions, so their mutations are stat only, hence the other poster wishing specifically for color mutations.

  21. Just to follow up, I'm currently raising a juvey rex off of my maewings milkjugs. It works ! This is huge. Now all you need to fully raise a baby is a maewing stuffed full of meat. I'm currently using cooked meat to cut down on spoilage. Got 2 rexes and a shadow going off a single maewing.

  23. I would propose the following to be introduced: 1) Fixobugosaurus - once tamed it instantly fixes all the gamebraking bugs that you won't be reimbursed for. 2) Serveroverhauluropod - Has a global effect on the server network. Once tamed, you can actually connect to the servers and play the DLC you payed for, with surprising ping under 100 and a lag-free experience. Genesis 1 and 2 were a total rip-off. Official servers are a mess. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

  26. Good work adding this mod map in. The modder stole the map of Tamriel and passed it off as their own work. Should've picked Fjordur instead.

  27. Yeah shocking that gamers would want a map with plenty of space to build on in a building survival game. What idiots. The hunt and torpor missions in gen 2 scream last minute rushed addition just to pump the mission count. They're all basically the exact same thing slightly tweaked. Compare that with the rest of the missions that all got custom arenas and clearly have much more time and effort put into them. If WC was going to rush out a few more missions that have a high likelihood of clashing with player bases or are susceptible to people purposely building in mission areas to

  28. I like the Tek, just don't like the lack of primitive items. Personally if they merged everything from Prim+ into Base game it would have been roughly what Id have wanted. Only Tek I really don't care for is the old clunky chest plate (visual hate only) and the building pieces. Besides that I actually enjoy a good bit of it. This being said I am eager to play Ark 2, also confident it will take up way more of my time than it probably sure. There will be a bunch of great things, bugs, frustrations, etc. But overall I think its something we will love.

  29. Ark 2 is needed because WC is too scared to upset current players in regards to many things that need to be changed even though they would be better for the game. For examples, breeding and mutations are incredibly broken but WC doesn't want to wipe official peoples dinos that grinded to get their broken stats because people will cry. Hopefully Ark 2 will be more balanced at minimum.

  30. I'm hoping they're going to use ARK 2 as a chance to make a game that isn't an unstable mess. Even playing now I need to make constant backups of my save file because my tames just... Vanish. I cannot for the life of me find them and then hours later receive a message that it's been killed, or I just never get a message. I even use commands to fly into terrain and under the map and they're not there. Not to mention bugs that have existed since the game released. In single player harvested resources STILL don't respawn and I have to travel to other maps. I just want to play a game whe
