To everyone who continues to post hate comments, you do know that no one cares about your unoriginal opinion right? When it comes to wildcard, they are a fairly decent company who actually cares about their game and doesn't try to realese a half-assed dlc just for the sake of releasing it. They actually bothered to listen to feedback from their comunity (no matter how much you insult them) to try and improve game for your sake as the player, they're not going to be the ones who are going to be playing the game and yet they're going out of they're way to try and make the game a better experience for you as the player. Look if they were a money grabing company like any other than they would've already released the dlc and not cared what you had to say, but here they are wasting their own time and money to try and make sure that you actually enjoy the game. So please stop whinning, it gets really annoying having to look through the comments and mainly seeing hate comments. Also if you're planning to respond to this, just don't, I'm not gonna be wasting anymore of my time with this matter. Also this took a really time to write, so please for my sake dont make me write anymore. P.S. the wait isn't that long, and I'm really looking forward to part 2 Edit: Looking back on this comment i was quite rude and unprofessional, let me apologise. The game itself is a good concept and fun when it goes correctly, (no meshing, duping, no gm otter being pocket dev). The main problem is the developer teams unwillingness to adhere to timelines they create and continue to make false promises time and time again. most people in here commenting about the delay have already got the gen DLC, and were originally told winter of 2020, then march of 2021 and now 1 business day before march we get told May. After they release all this genesis chronicles, they have known for awhile it wont be done by March but continued to string people along. The game itself isnt a bad experience the developers are a bad experience. What DLC came out on time? or even close? You'd think after 6 years of DLC's they be more realistic about there capabilities and give a more accurate timeline, but nope lets keep hyping up and not delivering.

Haven't been on time for a single DLC or update why change it for the last one! I'm sure this one will be just as broken as every other initial release dlc and have exceptional excuses to cover it up. I have been playing ark prolly quite a lot longer than you. And i could not care rats arse if its delayed. Its a friggin game not your last meal.

But what if the customer is actually very happy with the food even with all the order mess-ups? I will be buying Ark II.

I think people need to chill, getting agitated over one another serves nothing but generates more hostile atmosphere. If people want to vent they can vent as long as they abide the rules of the forum.

edit: i have a huge problem with this "deserve" you speak of. So it is you that's the grand judge of what is deserved? So because a pandemic hit, and governments issued policies that FORCED companies to have their workers work from home, which undoubtedly made their operations way more difficult/less effective, you feel like the companies, the victims of this government policy, you feel like they deserve punishment? punishment for not 100% perfectly overcoming all the hardships they face? that's punishable? you feel as if though keeping shut would be "buttering" them? who is buttering? your negative emotion is encapsulating you in this narrative that they somehow become deserving of no respect whatsoever. i still don't understand why your inability to realistically project the future excuses such behavior. and i still fail to see how that kind of behavior rewards you beyond instant gratification. it also takes from you - in another debate, somewhere else, you will be forced to lie about the nature of your beliefs if you suddenly realize how wrong it is to treat people inhumanely because you feel angry or sad. by acting like a sausage, you forfeit the right to ever pretend you're anything but a sausage. and if you try to pretend like you're something else to try and fool someone, you'll know to yourself you lied. they won't know, but you will never be at peace.

Well this all got dark real quick. I completely understand the hardship of working remotely so understandable to delay but please WC do not give up on streamlining the game. Many players have expressed the frustration with lag, dc-ing, aimbotting, and random freezing. Hopefully you can figure out what the actual monster-forsaken flippity flip is going on and if we can help please tell us how WITH some kind of logic to back it up. The best thing for this game, your studio, and the players is open-logical communication. Stay Healthy and rest well!

Your company is useless

Not really, someone said this almost every crunch, this guy just got lucky. I agree with this, story wize get island-SE-abb-Ext-Gen1-2-A2 i personly like EXT the most out of all, but Gen 1 is starting to grow on me.

No one said PS wasn’t getting A2, just that it would initials relese on Xbox. It very likely is still coming to PS4/5 or whatever, Pretty standard really. jez, 5 pages in one crunch in less then 24 hours? I think that’s a record. Anyway, keep up the good work. As a tip, maybe continue the Gen chronicles with skins/items from the DLC or new info or something? Something to keep away the Salt.

Gee, they delayed it for months to secretly work on Ark 2, and STILL can't hit their release date without delaying it even more. What a massive surprise. NOT. I'd say I was extremely disappointed, but what would be the point? Literally no one cares what I think to begin with.

This is ridiculous, if you expect people to buy ark 2 don't you think you should start showing us we can count on you. Never on time for anything. I may not buy ark 2 until it's like $10. I've spent so much money buying all the dlc's for ark and bout ark in pre-release and I have boasted about how good the game has been but as far as trusting the team creating it, I'm losing that.

I think what they mean to say instead of the bullpoop excuse of virtual deployment of their dev team is that they have yet again stretched their resources even more thin by having to deploy to a completely new system such as stadia. Because lets face it a software based company having to transition to a virtual workspace is like a ice cream man in a truck having to transition to a set driving route to a parking lot. So that excuse is just bullpoop. Having to make changes to your code to get it working on a completely different system is a whole other ballgame. Not to mention pulling even more resources to start on the 2nd game. Oh and the voidwyrm, great the tek wyvern FINALLY makes an appearance as part of a selling point to a new DLC. Not very impressed.

You're such a simpleton. I don't care about Wildcard. I don't know why you think this is about saving them. This is about correcting the discourse, because in its current form, it sounds like what you hear when you peek your ears in a kindergarten. What's actually, truely beyond me, is why me people insist on faltering. Like you are doing now. Has NOTHING to do with Wildcard, and all to do with the way you're coming off as. You're just jumping straight past important questions to make your point. WHY ARE YOU NOT SAYING A WORD ABOUT THE PANDEMIC? DOES THAT NOT CHANGE THINGS EVEN 1%? It obviously does. How long does it take to effectively shift a progtramming company to remote work? Have you shifted a company to remote work in the past year so you know what the process entails, and what the exepcted success rate is? My experience is, the pandemic affects productivity. Even with percect "adjustment", the effectivity will decrease. So with an initial projection of february 2021, which is a year old projection, may is like a 15% efficiency reduction. That's unreasonable to you, mister experienced conglomerate CEO? Your bitterness is so obvious it reeks long before your post. I could smell it on the post before yours. You're mad, something's wrong, AND YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO SAY IT DAMNIT! You have never been undeservingly on the poop end of the shaft, that much is obvious. I don't think you understand the question. I'm not talking about the instant gratification. Do you enjoy being angry/bitter? Either way, you will have to struggle with a moral dilemma though. At some point in your life, if it hasn't happened already, someone is going to make some really unreasonable critique of you and go off on you way more than you feel like is warranted. At that point, you're gonna feel like "this is wrong, and i have nothing to do with that" and try to appeal to the other person. Then you will realize, that person is you. You're that person. That person that just makes another person's life a little more difficult than it has to be, for a split second. Just so you can feel better about yourself. Would you do it to your mother? Your sister? Your best friend? Why do it to anyone?

Yes, it actually feels better! You know it won't change a single thing, so you can at least complain even if its unread by any half relevant person and move on from it, instead of just shuting up and buttering up a company that doesn't deserve it.

I thought Americans were keen on timeliness. Meeting the deadline is usually part of the contract. You reach far into the future - animated films, Ark II, all for getting new customers? ... and you can't take care of what's going on now. Most of us will be future Ark II customers. And certainly our opinion about Ark I will influence the purchasing decisions of future ARK II customers. But what we have now? Meshing, duping, aimboting, poor official server performance, and of course not caring about given words and terms.

Missions are included but they are going to be in their own instance instead of on the main world. Kinda like the boss arenas.

Thanks for the update guys. While its a shame its for the best. Hope you guys can do all you hope to for the DLC, keep up the good work! Eagerly awaiting for it, can't wait to finish the Ark journey, I've been with you guys since early access. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for an amazing game to call home, and one that my brother and I can play for hours on end and have fun and enjoy it. Best wishes!

Please please for the love of all that is holy make some caves that are strong and some other really great looking building spots for pvp. I don't care if it takes longer Hell get crazy with it and put some awesome spots in the ceilings in addition to caves, etc for both small tribe bases, ratholes, and massive size bases.

All I got to say is, I'm always pleased with the progress you're making. I don't get to play Ark as much as a lot of hardcore players. Got to work and enjoy life outside of videogames a little. Ark will always be one of my top favorite games. I expected the delay, in fact, I counted on it. You can only do so much to polish up your game for release. I really enjoy the game and the possibilities you all implement. I can't wait. On top of that, I am so happy you kept the tradition of adding a draconic creature to your main story (Minus gen pt 1). I feel like y'all made up for that when Crystal Isles was introduced though.

This is Wildcard. They can release it late *and* broken. Just like they did with Extinction, after most of them snuck off to work on Atlas. Now they've got Ark 2, which I'm guessing is the *real* reason the DLC is months and months late. They were too busy making that cinematic for the Game Awards instead of finishing the first game.

Pathetic. 5 months late. This studio is one of the most trashy, disorganized, lying, joke of game developers. Maybe finish the first game before you pull resources to start a new one. The mpst reliable thing about Wild Card is unreliability. People need to take theri anger and frustration and focus it. DO NOT BUY ARK 2. There aere so many more iptions with more to come. You wouldn't keep eating at a restaurant who constantly messes up your orders and even when you get the food is terrible correct? Focus.

They released Extinction for PC on the correct day.

I understand you but at this point you have to look to the saying "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" Wildcard is notorious at this point for pushing back their dlcs because you have to know that ark is a big game and that they need their time to not just develop but write, think, draw, model, texture, and implement everything (not to mention balance when they do its hard with all the moving parts). would you rather have the unfinished thing that they most likely still need to test? Please just be patient and let them make the game especially since this is our big finale to our 6 year saga and they need to pull it big

Are you new to ark? Because us ark veterans are sick of this delaying crap. First December 2020 then hype us up with the trailer and say it’s coming in March and make us wait 3 months and then when it’s about to release, delay it again till MAY 26th and make us wait another 3 months. I’m starting to lose hope for ark. And the crashing aimbotting meshing, ark is a hot mess right now and WC needs to step up there game.
