The Lead Community Manager and a bunch of others haven't even logged in for almost a week, this is how much they care. There are 39 pages of the problem, and still no official response from Wild Card? Things have gone from bad to worse. The most recent patch seems to have really had an adverse effect across all servers. Things were laggy. Now? They just do not work.

AN ADVICE TO ! EVERYONE ! KEEP CHECKING THE OFFICIAL SERVERS FOR YOUR SERVER NUMBER IF YOUR SERVER HAS BEEN OFFLINE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. THERE IS A GREAT CHANCE THE SERVER GOT AN NEW IP ADRESS MEANING: 1) IT WILL NOT SHOW UP IN FAVORITES/ CHARACTER SERVERS LIST.. 2) BATTLEMETRICS DOES NOT GIVE AWAY ITS NEW ADRESS AND THE OLD SERVER IP YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IS DEAD/ UNUSED

Keep getting kicked!!! This is utter bullpoop the next day after downloading Genesis I'm on server 989 Extinction and keep getting timed out kicked and can't even feed my dinos AT ALL. IF I LOSE ALL THE PROGRESS AND WORK IVE PUT IN TO MY CHARACTER AND DINOS FOR THE BAD SERVER I WILL BE TAKING ACTION!

So, then there's no point to this forum thread whatsoever? Is this thread to 'discuss' the problem? The problem that we as players have no insight into the cause or solution to? Don't get me wrong, reporting it in the outage form is absolutely the right thing to do, but what is the goal of this whole section of the forum if most of the posts are just thrown in a pile and handwaved away saying "everyone is just having issues, just live with it for now"?

The networking/clustering problems you are reporting are all related to the "server instabilities" officials are current suffering. This thread is not just about crashes, and all official server issues must be reported using the form linked at the top of this thread.

Yeah, most of my tribe is stuck off server currently and it's really putting a strain on our group. Truly hope this is resolved very soon.

Guys, GIVE IT SOME TIME. They gave us and others a new server from the last save of the server. Like the favorited post in here. LOOK for your server in the search bar by inputting your server number(you can do the number with some addions in battlemetrick as well), if nothing shows up, then they still haven't done it yet. We were lucky within a few days( about 6days,3 days after me and other made reports about it) and now we play in a very secure server with no lag or crashes. Just be patient and stick to this thread.

Doesn't work, it's gonna prompt you to install BattleEye, would have been nice had we been able to circumvent and keep playing though. This is a synchronization issue between Steam and the actual game server. Unfortunately, when the server cannot determine what INI settings are supposed to be active, it defaults to the base settings. We're in the same boat on 601, there are reports that our resident dupers were spamming chat and then this occurred, I don't know if it's true or not, I don't have any proof, don't really care just want it fixed so I can sip my coffee, feed my dinos and start my day.

Server still down, still no communication across any media. Outage reports submitted, though I have doubts this serves any purpose. Each time server has recovered from a crash, there has been a roll back. A lot of us transferred over from SE prior to crash, we worried what will happen (most of us solo players in own tribes).

Yeah idk how it works in their industry, but I would imagine they can't just ignore the game even during quarantine? I work 10 hours a day from home now until I can go back into my office. It's not about me necessarily putting them down, I'm just truly amazed there is no response to anything, let alone a fix in a reasonable amount of time.

Great questions and good luck getting a response from these hacks. Not sure they even post or monitor these forums any more. They don't respond to there Twitter account either.

Multiplayer is a advertised, promoted and major feature of the game, my country's consumer laws trumps your opinion.

Once again, The Island 717 PVE is offline, for the 4th day in a row of repeat extended downtime periods.. in addition to the immense lag and invasion of [][][][][] publicly hacking and duping tribes. No amount of bug reporting, tweeting, messaging or google form submissions seem to be enough to get this company off it's ass to look after it's customers. They still refuse to even admit a problem even exists.

Seen the dinos, seen them duping, they even admitted it in global. Not an excuse, fact. Don't call me a frickin' racist. I hate everyone equally. Since we're measuring e-peens at the moment, I'm a disabled developer and IT professional with over 20 years of experience in hardware repair, engineering and programming, i also spent the last 7 of my working years as an o365/Exchange administrator. I think I'm more than qualified to recognize patterns and use deductive reasoning to determine when someone is causing an unnecessary draw on the server resources. It also stands to assume that since these things don't happen until a certain tribe logs in, and this said tribe has their duped items on display outside one of the 5 giant mega bases they've constructed, that it narrows things down even further. Please don't turn me into a racist, I'm probably old enough to be your father and have worked with enough faces from different places over the years to find that highly insulting and implicitly inaccurate. Volunteer moderator or not, it's not your place or your right to call anyone, myself included a racist. As an after-thought, sure this particular tribe is Chinese, are they the only tribe doing it? No. There's Thai and a few other European tribes out there doing it as well, i know of 2 on our extinction server and 1 on our Val server. However, because the Chinese gamers are allowed to hide behind anonymity through use of Government controlled firewalls, they are also allowed to abuse the Terms of Service and Code of Conduct. Granted, they aren't the only ones able to do that, there's quite a few that are getting away with it. Again, I don't hate anyone, I hate that they are able to get away with this and that Wildcard isn't taking down these seller sites and enforcing their CoC.

While we appreciate your efforts at moderation, I think the frustration many people are expressing here comes down to a few things: 1 - The increasing frequency of the crashes 2 -The lack of communication about the underlying issues 3 - The inability to keep \ maintain game progress after crashes 4 - The fact that apparently the forum moderators don't even get a briefing about the issues and can't post summaries Whatever the technical problem is, it's resolvable. If there's a DDOS issue because people are duping (as suggested by a previous poster), start banning IP ranges, or use a reverse proxy. Using the pandemic as an excuse for the server outages is not the best excuse - online entertainment is seeing a big upswing in profits, steam is selling a lot of games, and this is a critical time for service stability as online entertainment in general is seeing rising profits. It should not be hard to get staff aug for the server room, basic IT skillsets are not hard to find. Asking us to wait patiently, while there is no communication back to the end user is not an effective strategy. It's simply going to increase frustration, which will in turn lower sales.

Hey all, I figured I'd make my first post a good one. I've been following this thread for a while, I love reading about everyone's adventures... frustrations, successes and all. I'm learning lots and it's giving me ideas of things I should do next or in the future. I'll give you a brief synopsis of what I've been thru so far, then my next post can be just about what I did in a day XD Gotta catch y'all up. I'm a lvl 84 now and I didnt discover the forums till way later in the game. I did alot of dying before I learned what I could safely do. I'll share my most perilous moments... My first base was in the rockiest part of the Southern Islets on the Island. It look me a long time to gather materials to make a raft, and when I finally did it you could not get me off that thing. I remember feeling safe for the first time. Then I learned the hard way that come nighttime, you should really stay in-base unless you know exactly what you're doing. I got lost on my raft and ended up with a few agro'd megalodons chasing my naked raft. I SOMEHOW found my bay in the middle of the darkness after dodging sharks and constantly running into things, and actually found my damn base. I was so happy, I thought my nightmare was over. I didnt realize one of the "sharks" was actually a crocodile, and it then proceeded to having its way with my base while I stood helplessly inside my wooden house with no weapons. I lost everything and had to start from scratch. It was a great lesson! my next biggest drama came when I had rebuilt my destroyed wood base, and I had an outpost right halfway between there and Herbivore Island (crescent island). This time, I accidentally kited another croc to my base with the raft. "poop, not again!". knowing I had the other outpost with a bed, I fast traveled to the outpost before the croc could kill me and I woke up to an alpha carno tearing my outpost to pieces. More or less had to start over, but this time I was smarter. One other time, I lost 5 dilos randomly in the forest 'cause I died while walking around with them, only to find them WEEKS later, all seperated over hell's half acre. I don't know how they didnt starve. They eventually all made it back and are currently in my final, main base. My last biggest drama came when I FINALLY got a low lvl argy and was building my final main base in Hidden lake. I was flying around carrying my deod Django, collecting rocks when I got too close to the ground to cut a short tree and a Theri kocked me off and started attacking the 3 of us. Argy flew off going straight up, and I died. Never got a message that Django died, though! The only problem was, the way I started my base build, it required a flyer to get on top until the ramp got built. So even if I spawned back up there, I was basically stuck. SO - had to spawn back down south, find one of my broken homes, re-build, re-equip, tame another ptera, use petra to kite argy to taming pen, tame argy then start the journey back up north. After a few days of searching, I find Django! horray. No sign of Argy, still though. Bummer. That last bit happened maybe 2 weeks ago... Just yesterday I was on a hunting trip to gather meat for the troughs and I found Argy 1... just standing on the beach, super far from where I had lost him. Not starving or missing health or anything, so weird! To add to that stroke of luck, the second argy I got to replace it was a different gender... so... now I can breed em! XD Oh, just remembered - there was that one time I was on my hunting/taming raft built out of stone. parked my argy 2 (before we found the original on the beach) on top and was cruising over deep ocean. Stone, right? cant be damaged my magalodons, right? Wrong. My dumb ass put wooden stairs on the back 'cause I thought it didnt really matter it they broke. I agro'd a shark, and as it was attacking the wooden stairs, it bumped the raft just enought to make my argy pop over the railing. I didnt notice till I got to my destination, in pitch dark since the landing pad is at the very back of the raft. Petrified that I had lost another argy, I started sailing around aimlessly in the dark until I SOMEHOW found a floating dino name hovering over the ocean. sailed to safety, logged off. LOL. too much for me. I'm by no means a good ARK player.. I didnt start taming my first dinos other than dodos till really later in the game. And even that was just a trike that got stuck in some rocks close to the first base. She has since passed (R.I.P. Tracy, died by piranha). I hope I was able to entertain a few of you. Now that you're all caught up, next time I'll just say what I did that day

@wizard03 I loved reading how your mom/mum (for us in the UK) got into the game. I downloaded it when my hubby was at work one day out of boredom and loved it. As soon as he tried it he was hooked..

Immediately Cancel Eggcellent Event Wonder why the servers* are down or lagged out? Kids always jump to "ddos." It's not ddos. It's because of the 4x taming and breeding event. Large tribes pull out their cryopods and throw out a combined hundreds of tames to let them breed. This overwhelms the servers, rendering the game unplayable not only for those tribes but also for the vast majority of players. Of course Wildcard knows this issue, and it is in their interest to not address official server issues now that Genesis sales have flattened out. They make more money when people rent unofficial servers. I am collaborating with 2 gaming news journals to elaborate on this story. However, they wanted me to notify the developers of the issue first, even though the devs are well aware. Here is your notification. I welcome an urgent response from a developer (LinkedIn profile seal) and not a "community manager". *refers to official; please do not contribute to thread if you did not realize it without this footnote

Today was a good day for me in ark, and the fact that it's Good Friday made it even better! I'm a solo player and it's always felt like the bigger dinos are relatively out of my reach, particularly some of the better carnivores. I've been gearing up to upgrade from a raptor to a carno and went out this morning looking for one to tame. I scored better than a carno and spotted a lower level Rex next to some cliffs. I flew down and started peppering him with tranq arrows and was able to take him down by kiting him around some cliffs and using my flying mount's sprint to get ahead, dismount shoot 1 - 2 arrows, remount and fly ahead again. With the 4x taming event as well it meant that getting this Rex was actually within my means and I was able to tame him! It was actually a super cool moment in my Ark career to date and felt amazing being able to not only do it solo, but completely accidently and by chance. It has made my Good Friday excellent

Lol pls explain to me how u think i am a staff from my post. Firstly, i am not a staff, just a regular legacy player. Second, i cant fix anything, and i dont care if the servers u are playing on are trash, as those i am on are just fine.

The servers i am on are still fine, just like what ello said, unless u spend enough time on every other server u cant comment that all are like that.

Some people looking to buy the game will check out reviews and the forums to get information about it. Keeping this thread on the front page, despite efforts to sink it, will help people who have not emotionally invested in the game find something better, or may even encourage whoever from Wildcard or Nitrado cares about their product to find out what's going on. At a minimum, this should serve as a warning to anyone looking for private hosting not to use Nitrado's services (You can find the hosting provider by using a geolocator on the server IP), and will hopefully encourage Wildcard to solve the problem before people stop playing and the game stops selling.

This is basically just a place to cry.

Why are mods putting cramming posts in here like something is going to get done? We have official servers labeled as false, unofficial. Is this a hack or a mistake? Please get with the program..... if you can move all these posts into one thread, then surely you can turn the official servers back to "True, Official" Battle eye keeps kicking us every 2 minutes... PLEASE RAISE THIS ATTENTION TO YOUR BOSS!!!!!!!

In pve they should just enable creative mode and God mode. People should not even have to farm just spawn in creatures and bases. And instant kill anything by right clicking on it. It's pve balance don't matter.
