  1. That was a good weekend for completing some of my goals actually. Dont get me wrong, these arent high level compared to people out there but these are mostly clean lines just taken from my wild tames (the odd one has been bred from friends which were definitely mutated) but overall I just wanted to get them finished. My Daeodons are now complete - born 285 My Yuty is complete - born 301 Allos - born 295 Thylas - born 350 Anky - born 350 Doed - born 325 Basically, I had a lot of different stats across many tames so I wanted to get them all on one dino and as you can tell above they all worked out alright. Still didnt get any decent Ptera muts so I can only keeping on breeding, hatching, killing etc etc So I am now in the process of doing our Tappys, Im expecting those to be around 285 when finished and will be a clean line, whilst my tribemate is doing his Troodons, Deins, Monkeys and other small dinos. **EDIT - and I finally got my first 190 event Wyvern - after 100+ hrs in previous events, I had even spent 6+hrs this time aroundbut my Poision finally arrived with decent born melee at 365. Shame it was brown, but the red and purple within the wings looks nice.

  2. Firstly, the Arks were specifically not waiting for the moon to crash. They were testing survivors until it got some that it decided could survive on Earth. This was impossible, as the conditions on Earth grew constantly worse, and so the System was constantly making new, more difficult challenges. Because of this, there would always be a new challenge no matter how many Arks you go through. No matter how many times you succeed you could never really win. We know for a fact that it wasn't referring to the moon because of the line "The problem is that the System’s purpose is not wholly static. The goalposts have moved. The bar has been raised, and now it is entirely out of the System’s reach." The goalposts don't move when the problem is a crashing moon. The threat posed by that is Extinction-level, but it doesn't change. Also, if the Arks weren't returning because of the moon, they also wouldn't return upon defeating the King Titan, as the Lunar threat was still there. Second, waiting for the Arks to land on their own is a horrible idea as well. There are 3 big reasons why. 1) A Lunar crash would most likely not destroy all of the element on Earth. Yes, a Lunar crash would cause an utterly absurd amount of damage and cause nearly everything we know to go extinct, but consider that we've now seen element existing as a solid, liquid, and a gas in various different ways, and it exists far underground, as well as around the moon itself. Any stray pieces of the moon that landed after most of the moon already landed could therefore bring more element to Earth even if all the element there was destroyed. 2) If the moon crashes before we fight off the King Titan, who is (was) the head of the Corruption, then the Moon would take out all of the super equipment needed to kill it. It would destroy all mek blueprints, there'd be no megamek to help us kill it. Nothing but Corruption and lifeless rock. 3) Even if, by some miracle, literally every speck of element on Earth and on the Moon were destroyed by the crash, we still have Aberration, which is, as we know, already Corrupted from the inside with Rockwell as the head. So there was certainly no mistake made on Helena's part by leading us to Earth from Aberration. We had to go down to eliminate the Corruption. There was no other way. Now, the subject of how we might fix the Lunar orbit/ There are a few ways to fix it which I briefly mentioned in my earlier post. Destroy: Probably the hardest. Even if you blast the moon, you now have more, smaller moon parts flying at Earth instead of less, bigger ones. You'd have to blast every single bit until the remaining pieces are small enough to burn away upon entering the atmosphere. Redirect: What Lu said about AP acting like a gravity gun. It would mean doing some cool tek magic stuff to actually push the Moon back into its proper orbit. We have seen a gravity grenade that we got on Extinction, so we know that the technology exists to manipulate gravity, so this idea is certainly possible. The other way to redirect it is to launch/build a mega-structure on the moon itself to work as a super-huge rocket to propel the Moon further away to get back into orbit. Teleport: Finally, instead of pushing it into orbit, we could just teleport it right to where we want it. Again, we know that teleportation tech is available. It could just as easily be completely unrelated, but somehow the ability of the astrocetuses/astroceti/astrocetus/astrocetuseseses to teleport makes me consider this option more. Also, no one only posts useless comments. Even if you don't think you're contributing much, consider that LED made a post that started as a joke and spiraled into this. That was a longer post than I expected, but I just want to add before I go that they ninja-added Genesis Chronicles II with the corrupted avatar boots skin in the most recent update.

  3. Thank you. I went through all the current transmissions trying to find it but didn't think to check the trailer again >_< Watching the survivor charge the ferox is still maximum hype btw Anyway, I'm still convinced that Genesis is before Extinction, so the Arrival would most likely mean the Arks arriving back on Earth OR the arrival of more survivors on Earth, but I have recently gotten another idea from this thread, and it came from LED's post: First off, I don't think the moon as it exists in Ark would actually have a much different impact on the Earth than it does irl. The reason being that it still has a center of gravity that would be approximately equal to the moon before... uhh... whatever happened to it. BUT, if one (or two, or all) of the pieces of the moon were pushed out of their proper orbit by whatever happened, they could now be on a collision course with Earth, which could very well cause its another Extinction. In this scenario the Arrival would mean the Arrival of moon pieces on Earth's surface. This idea would also explain why there is a lunar biome, but I don't see how the simulation could help prevent such a thing, which is where my version of this idea falls short. Of course, the simulation not being able to stop it does not disprove this idea, as this can still be the case even if we don't stop it immediately. We can also throw in previous ideas of Corruption infecting the "internet" which could potentially block us from using previously made technology already on Earth to stop the collision. ACTUALLY as I made that last sentence, it reminded me of the messages in the Sanctuary about Arat Prime's "unable to confirm launch" (or whatever it was, that's what it meant.) IF the moon is in a collision course, then AP might have been launching a bomb (or something else) at the moon to destroy/redirect/teleport the moon to avoid the collision, however, as the launch failed, the job falls onto us.

  4. I want to copy elements of his pagoda build when I build my zoo on Valguero. I want to build it on a flatspot so I can have a foundation floor with aircons on for hatching the eggs that will fall down through the open floors. With argies and/or owls on the roof and other smaller dinos maybe on the other floors all parked around the holes.

  5. I have copied his 300%green house build which is amazing and his dodo coop is what I built this morning. And I agree they are awesome. I think were gonna try and do his A-frame house at the top of the cliff here soon.

  6. I actually didn't do to much this morning or last night. Just kinda ran around and played with having a Rex and an Yuty which is amazing fun! Those two together make quick work of so much except the bone trike. That thing didn't do much damage to the rex but man it took a beating. I did loose one of our pteras this morning due to compys starting a fight with it while I got a drop and that caused splash damage to some trikes who ganged up on it and killed it. Which caused me to go back and get Bubbles (our rex) and eat every trike I saw along the beach. Did get our dodo house built and as soon as the wall around our area are done we will start to fill it. Also have some plans on how to set up a crafting room/incubation room also just need to get the dinos that are in the area I want to build in out. Im also trying to figure out how to build in a spot that is SUPER not level at all (slanty cliff face on the beach in Valguero) and I know in theory how to do it and I've watched a few youtube videos on how to do it I just need to try and it and learn from doing it.

  7. Worked on the babies more today, had as many out as i could get in the baby pen but... i was rather bored sitting around waiting for imprint timers... so I grabbed my rifle and my tranq darts, and a stack of superior kibble... and set out on a mission to tame a couple anky... tamed a piggy cause it was black, two iguanodon, two ptera, and a couple anky: I have a few good high level colored anky's already, and i think im gonna mix n' match with some of these guys for a breeding project to get better stats and more color mixes. The other anky's will sit quietly tucked away in a cryofridge till a new player comes along my beach who needs one again. it'll make them happy.

  8. My week off for Halloween has ended and as I am back at work now my play time has been greatly reduced. I have dino wiped extinction and scorched and whoosed around on a griffin to spawn in as many event colours as I can, I can try to snag some of them on my limited taming excursions. I still need to wipe Valguero, I stayed away from there because of the overspawns, and I might wipe rag again and hope for a higher lvl event griffin.

  9. Some of the descriptions of the official trailers for the revealed Genesis stuff has some extra info that I don't think was mentioned in the stream: Cruise Missile: "Want to send someone a message? With a remote-controlled shoulder missile that can be written on, you’re able to do that quite literally. If that message doesn’t go through, feel free to hop on the missile for a ride and deliver it in person!" Fishing Net: "If you're looking to fish on-the-go and don't have time to take a seat, the Fishing Net in ARK: Genesis will come in handy. The Fishing Net is a one-time use item that's convenient to capture multiple fish at once, and offers a chance to give you extra rewards in return." Lunar Biome: "The Lunar Biome brings new gameplay mechanics and visuals in ARK: Genesis. Experience a low-gravity biome with a perplexing light cycle and irradiating sunlight that’s dangerous if you’re exposed to it. Adapting to the meteor bombardments and electrical storms will be a challenging, but rewarding experience. It is only in the Lunar Biome will you find the elusive Astrocetus."

  10. [LOG_TRANSMIT] Requesting status report. [LOG_RECEIVE] Conflict is on the rise. We've had to get inventive. [LOG_TRANSMIT] Necessity is the mother of invention, after all. [LOG_RECEIVE] Terminal Entry MM-08 [LOG_RECEIVE] Handles and latches are aces... [LOG_RECEIVE] When you've got a free hand. [LOG_RECEIVE] But it's "handy" to let your feet contribute, too. It's pretty obvious that this is the pressure plate from the stream.

  11. If you build it with ceilings on pillars I would recommend Aaron longstaff on youtube, just to show how to stop the pillars poking up through the floor. And his builds are pretty amazing.

  13. Why are Xbox users not included with these types of statements? Primitive+ on PVE servers for The Island and The Center are also missing wild dinos, yet I never see it mentioned in an official statement. Today marks two weeks without wild dinos. Were this to happen on Evolved servers, I can only imagine how quickly this issue would be dealt with. For shame that you, Wildcard, treat your players who pay just as much to play as anyone else so poorly.

  15. I had a pretty awful day, all in all. I've been struggling for weeks to keep my footing on the PVP ORP Ragnarok server, but me and a friend (the one I was with before we merged with another tribe) have been fighting nonstop. There's no one really at fault. We are at the end of our rope with each other and we just can't tolerate one another anymore, I don't think. I can't exactly make her leave nor do I want her to stop enjoying the server, I just want to get away from her, and I can't do that while in the same tribe so I've had to accept that I need to leave. The thought of losing 10+ months of work however is devastating. I have 700+ creatures in an ARK Smart Breeder file I've mostly been the one to work on. Everyone has names. My lines are tangled up in hers, however, so I can't quite stay on the server. I am going to move to singleplayer/a non-dedicated world with my boyfriend. I have decided to use a temporary god character on a singleplayer Ragnarok to try to cheat/breed creatures with the same or similar base stats to the ones I had on the server. So far, I've successfully done this with the allosaurus I had. I plan to store them on Ragnarok, and whenever me and my boyfriend get a new creature, if I have some stored in the Ragnarok world, we can then bring them over to use. That way they don't entirely ruin our experience, but I can still work with them in an interesting setting. We've also been talking about adding some NPC mods to see if we can salvage something of a PVP experience. It's a fun game, but man the way official started taking over my life and not to mention how easily drama with one person ended it, is devastating.

  16. Please open some public test servers you guys have proven you suck at throughly testing new pvp additions to the game , the cruise missle seems cool but we don’t need a repeat of what happened when you guys added meks to the game

  17. i went through a good 100 eggs to get 20 good rexs that looked nice color wise, but im not done there, i still have to make a second set of rexs with the new stats for the island to replace the old boss rexs, got a few nice 1007 melee / 1125 melee ones ranging from 23-29hp. I'll need to down breed the levels on a couple as well. just made another 20 eggs today and tucked them away in the fridge for further down the road, maybe the next holiday event

  18. The thing is, Prim+ players already lost their poop many times (I'm one of them) and I'll be happy to get wipes one more time if that means Prim+ gets merged into the base game with the occasional "Remove Modern Content and Tek" checkbox in the settings. Like @Aikar already said several times on this thread, from a technical point of view this option is the best we have. I'm pretty sure this would require us to wipe everything once more but once merged Prim+ is easy to update as it would become a part of the main game. I'm still waiting and hoping they will work on Prim+ at some point. I mean, we got the Dino reworks a while back. Theres still hope and besides all the criticism regarding WIldcards I would still give them a poopload of thanks and hugs and whatnot if they decide to work on Prim+.

  20. Started by hatching our 3 Deino and saw that I had 6 hour till they needed care so thought I would take a nap. Woke up at 1 and saw that they were fully developed and ready to go! Thank you extra life event! So decided to hatch our Rex and Yuty as well. Got them hatched and cuddled and walked when they need it and got the saddles made. When I log in next they will be ready to be taken out. Also took advantage of the 8x harvesting and got materials to make more gates and doors to block off the upper area. Got our greenhouse built with 24 med plots and 300% greenhouse and fully irrigated. Also took advantage of quick tames and got a couple decent leveled ptera (one in holiday colors that looks like carnage) and the opposite gender of ones we already have so once the barn is finished we can start breeding. Side note I knew having a greenhouse would be nice but I had no idea how easy it is to just go up and get what I need for taming so quickly and always having a ready supply. It’s a game changer.
