  1. Xbox is absolutely garbage rn. Dont show love to only pc players. We bought the game as well. Also make new servers! Duo/solo or trio, even classic pvp. Fix the game WildCard.

  2. There should be a way to separate the balances made to dinosaurs and game mechanics between PvE and PvP. Multiple balances have made PvE nothing but hard. Managarmr being a recent example, in PvE they're useless now thanks to the many balances made to make PvP better. Flier nerf was a huge change in PvE making fliers and transportation harder by forcing us to land since PvP was taking to the skies too often and the game tried to "ground" the fight

It's your last opportunity to collect special "Bunny Eggs" across the ARK from wild Bunny Dodo's. Bunny Eggs can be painted or used in special Cooking Pot recipes to craft new holiday-themed item skins the Marshmallow Dodo Hat and Chocolate Bunny Club, as well as returning skins: Bunny Ears, a Bunny Costume for the Procoptodon, Knitted Chick Hat, and Egg Shell Hat. Bunny Oviraptor's also drop festive Dino Candy. Collect the candy and feed it to your tames for a special festive effect! Be sure to tame up the last of the wild creatures roaming the ARKs that are sporting bright colours of Green, Magenta, Yellow, and Blue. Egg Painting Contest! Last week we introduced our new feedback section here on the forums. Here is a roundup of the current top suggestions, as well as some of our commentary on the topics for this week. We'll comment on ideas that are trending or being upvoted but we are looking at everything internally. PVE AND PVP BALANCE We understand that PvE and PvP players experience the game in much different wasy. When designing features we look for ways to engage both audiences equally but there are times when changes may have unintended consequences for either mode. We currently offer many ways to customize ARK because we believe people should be able to experience ARK in their own way, but playing on our official network means that broader changes are made across the board. Being able to facilitate balance changes on an individual dino level is not a small undertaking. Going forward, we will keep both PvP and PvE balance in mind as we work on future content and are identifying ways to provide a unique and balanced experience for both. IDEAS FOR NEW CONTENT / TLC What a cool idea! There's so much more to explore in the ARK universe. We are excited about new content coming for ARK and look forward to sharing more information as the dust settles. WIPING OFFICIAL SERVERS We try to avoid wipes at all cost. We realize our fans have poured many hours into their survivors and would hate for that progress to be thrown away. At the same time, we do understand the rush that players get from starting out fresh and building up. We have experimented with new game modes and different types of servers in the past and will continue to try new ideas. A widespread wipe is not something that's currently planned or being considered. If you're interested in playing on a format that wipes regularly, try out our ARKpocalypse servers! They wipe once a month. Mod Community Updates! We are happy to announce new additions to our Sponsored Mod Program roster on May 1st! ARK Eternal First up we have a mod that many have enjoyed for quite some time. ARK Eternal is a popular overhaul mod that adds new variations of creatures and ruffles the gameplay landscape of ARK, there is a lot to do in this mod and it greatly extends the progression of the game. ARK Settlements ARK Settlements is an interesting mod that aims to add city management elements to ARK. It's still in early development but shows a lot of promise. Build settlements, gathering resources, and make the ARK feel a little more alive. We believe this mod will make a great addition for singleplayer and low population servers especially. Dino Patrol Dino Patrol is a mod we've seen before. This utility mod lets you set up patrol route and procedures for your creatures. At least one of us may have used this mod to set up a dimorphodon tornado. (Yes, it was awesome ?) Evolution Event! Survivors on all platforms will be receiving a special Evolution Event perk this weekend! It will be active from Friday the 3rd of May at 1 PM EST until Monday the 6th of May at 3 PM EST. All Official Servers across each platform will be undergoing this evolutionary change which includes: 2x Harvesting Rates 2x Taming Rates 2x EXP Rates That's it for this post!   4. Often these comments get filled with people using consoles, who then complain about a industry wide problem with consoles. Mods. "We want mods" If you truly want mods play on a PC. This is one if the benefits of a PC. Consoles have benefits to using them, mods is not one of them.

  5. Ragnarok I finally got on last night and finished up the main building at the new waterfall base. Its come out ok, its probably one of the more complex builds I have attempted recently and I have definitely fallen foul of various snap point issues, but if you dont look too closely itll look fine. The build just needs the final touches and them furnish it out. Then its onto the gatehouse build or even one of the builds inside the cave, most likely the breeding barn Went back to our base on the west coast island and attempted some blue thyla breeding. I am trying to get my desired colour combo with our good stats but I didnt get lucky at all last night. Had a fly round the south looking for drops and desert loot. I am primarily looking for blue scorched earth drops in an attempt to pick up a quality chainsaw BP but no luck either with that

  6. Another calm day. I had an issue at work so I didn't leave at my normal time, cutting my Ark time short. Upon logging in I pulled out my cryo'd juvenile ovis and popped it out in front of the trough to see if it was still bugged. Thankfully it is not and now eats and grows normally. Then I went down to my breeding area, bred my thorny dragons and popped 3 eggs, keeping two of the babies. One of them bugged and one did not, making it very visible. They hatched at the same time but one is about 1% behind the other one due to the issue. Cryoing it did not resolve it, but it didn't lag out enough to die fortunately. Moved my forge platform, I didn't like where it was. It's also now connected to my main base building for easier access. Then I started laying a new foundation for my mews, also more typically called an aviary. Honestly I may end up just keeping all of my active, non-breeding animals in there now that I have a cryofridge and enough pods to secure all of my animals and then some. Crazy right, I don't even have 50 animals. I mean I might, but I don't really count the pile of thorny dragons I haven't gotten around to culling yet. I'm also slowly narrowing down the issue with things spawning all over my yard. I believe it may have something to do with my base straddling two regions. All of my buildings are built on one region, but all of the animals spawns are on the other. So I think it's possible that region is not being spawn blocked by my base. It should be less of an issue with the new building going up on that side though. I also need to do double gates at my main entrances, both are on slopes and amassing quite a collection of animals outside them. Seriously annoying, especially as diplos are common in the area. And I realize I haven't really posted any pictures recently, so here's Norothrax, my poison wyvern. I actually haven't bothered naming most of my other animals. He's earned his though, proving to be an able companion in many adventures. I didn't think I'd like poison wyverns that much but I'd legit be upset if I lost him now. Yes that is an exceptionally ugly Easter rex in the background. She had 30 points in HP so I tamed her in hopes of getting an early jump on a bloodline. Nope. She stood up with 31 points in HP. Sigh. So now I'm stuck with that abomination until I get my first bred spino. I just use Noro for everything instead...

  7. I watched/listened to a few nitrado server guides while working. Starting a new server for me, my gf and a buddy tonight. Haven't played in a long time. Now I just need to figure out which map. I loved the Island, but I think I need to change it up.

  9. Regarding the managarmrs and balance, I think the nerf was too much for both PvE and PvP. While I agree they seem OP for PvP because one person can do so much damage alone, we should take into account no one had built defenses with them in mind. Manas aren’t as hard to defend against as they may first seem, but the older/traditional defense measures are not effective. This is part of the game, and nature of survival. I feel that tribes didn’t spend enough time experimenting with different defense strategies for anyone to make an accurate assessment of where the mana’s effectiveness should stand. Let’s take into account that most of the complaints came from large established tribes that have developed bases that were secure against the traditional raids. Suddenly, with a new dino with new capabilities they were no longer secure and new vulnerabilities emerged, but wasn’t that the point? I believe the community is innovative and would discover better defense methods. We shouldn’t let large tribes that have grown lazy at coming up with new strategies and tactics cause a great new dino to become useless in PvE and PvP raids. This isn’t a new issue, from the introduction of wyvern and tames like Rock Elementals, players have complained of new dinos being too OP. These things tend to work themselves out when players are left to overcome new challenges. I feel that the mana nerf may have been a bit premature, and the “team” should consider giving the mana back some of its power. Otherwise, what use is it?

  13. PS4 (The final ark unofficial PVP) Went to ab to try my hand at reaper hunting with a crapty reaper I stole from someone who had him in his pocket outside my base. Got 6 135+ like a boss.

  15. Hey Survivors! Welcome to the latest edition of the Community Crunch! Structures Plus (S+) & Kibble Rework! We're starting off 2019 strong! The promised public beta including S+ and Kibble changes will be available by the end of this week for PC players to play with. When we're ready to share the build we'll give you some more information on how to opt-in to this build through Steam. S+ Features that will be in the beta branch: Changes: Made structure quick pickup time configurable in ini file (ServerSettings -> StructurePickupTimeAfterPlacement, default = 30) Added new ini config option to ignore the duration and always allow quick pickup (ServerSettings -> AlwaysAllowStructurePickup, default = false) Improved quick pickup HUD text to avoid overlapping other text, and to format durations as timestamps if over 60 seconds to support very long times if configured for that Enabled structure quick pickup for ALL structures. For structures that previously had pickup disabled, they now auto-disable quick pickup as soon as the player interacts with the structure in any way (unless AlwaysAllowStructurePickup is set to true) New structures/variants: Added 'smooth' sidewall textures variants (like the stone foundation) to the stock square foundations [Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Thatch, Wood] Triangle foundations [Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood] Triangle ceilings [Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood, Greenhouse] Triangle roofs [Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood, Greenhouse] Large (4x height) walls [Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood] Flexible pipe [Stone, Metal] Flexible electrical cable Stairs (with freely swappable ramp variant) [Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood] Double door frames [Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood] Double doors [Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood] Dedicated storage (Tek structure that allows storing a large amount of a single resource) Fence supports (allows you to build fences that are level along the top) [Adobe, Metal, Stone, Tek, Wood] Kibble changes that will be in the beta branch: All eggs have been assigned a value based on the size and rarity of the egg. These sizes include: Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, and Special. The eggs are used in a recipe to create kibble of a coinciding value: Basic, Simple, Regular, Superior, Exceptional, and Extraordinary. This new system will make it so that creature kibble desires are based on the quality levels instead of specific creatures, which should greatly decrease the number of tamed creatures needed for the purposes of taming. Regarding previously crafted kibble: Old kibbles will not be wiped, and will inherit their new "value/color" appropriately. Old kibbles will still work to tame their appropriate creatures. Old kibble will no longer be craftable, only the new types will be craftable. We will be taking your feedback into serious consideration regarding both of these changes so we invite you to communicate with us on our social media, the forums, reddit, etc with your opinions and critique. Once we're happy with where these features are at, we will be bringing them over to the PC main game and then to all platforms (Xbox and PS4). Modding Community Updates! Upcoming Server Maintenance! At 12:00pm Eastern on January 8th we will be taking down some of Asia servers for maintenance. We expect maintenance to last for approximately 2 hours. During this time the servers will not be running therefore time will not progress. Once the servers are back online, they will require re-adding to your favorites list as they will have new IP addresses. You can find a list of affected servers at the link below. Nintendo Switch servers will also be going offline for 15 min of maintenance at 12pm EST. Extinction Transfers Opening Soon! We have been getting a lot of questions about this lately and rightfully so. We will be opening server transfers on our official servers into Extinction on January 15th! This will be on all applicable platforms. There will be no transfer restrictions on creatures (unlike Aberration). Winter Wonderland Over! This winter-themed holiday event how officially ended. The event will be turned off on official servers during a deployment tomorrow at 12pm PST, and will also automatically be disabled if your server restarts between now and then. If you would like to continue the event on your server, you can use the command line: -ActiveEvent=WinterWonderland Fanart of the Week! Snowy Owl by Brzozeur! Evolution Event!
