Thank you! So I was correct about my PvP suspicion. However this past weekend the PvP wasn't in effect, so I must have gotten lucky. Guess I will need to really prepare for this weekend. ( I won't do any raiding, but I will need to make sure my base is defended as best as possible, plus I will need to find and create a tiny hidden base to hide my best blueprints and gear) Speaking of blueprints, I ran the desert drops and ice cave last night, plus killed a level 280 Alpha Carno and a Level 280 Alpha Raptor and ended up with some decent loot and BPs. I got blueprints for an ASC Scuba Mask, Fins and leggings BP. MC Scuba tank. ASC longneck rifle with 700 damage, ASC Ghillie Chestpiece, ASC Bary saddle, and MC Mammoth Saddle Nothing for my Rexs, Argies or Ptera. I spent the rest of the night taming a couple more dung beetles, and tried to find a poop pig close to my base (I forgot that online you can't carry tames with flyers) but no luck on the pig... normally they are everywhere. I tamed up a level 280 female and level 300 male Argy, and a level 280 Ptera, because they were right next to my taming trap, so why not. I then flew around the map exploring, and putting meat and berries into the food bins at the bases I stopped at. I noticed a fair amount of them were near empty, or only had berries in them. I figured those players didn't want their dinos to starve, and besides with the crazy gather rates on this server, I have plenty of food to share. ALso came to a base that had a gate open, and some raptors attacking its flyers that were on passive. So I killed the raptors, but the gate was locked, so I couldn't close it for them. Also saw a base that its rex's had dropped fertilized eggs, but there was not fridge/ preserving bin available to put them in, so had to leave them ( I wasn't going to steal them, I have a PvE mentality, so no need to take their eggs.) Lastly, I flew to the Rag Wyvern scar, and tried to find some eggs. I grabbed a level 180 Lightening egg, but it despawned as soon as I grabbed it, finally I found a level 110 Wyvern Lightning. Not great, but it would be nice to have a Wyvern on this server. took the egg back to base. I will need to find a spot to build a public Wyvern trap, so I can gather milk. The rest of the night was spent gathering more resources to craft up thousands of bullets for my turrets. I've never played PvP long enough to have a base worth defending, so while I have no illusion of being able to defeat an attacker, I at least hope to make my base difficult for them to conquer. ok, I got to get back to my latest work project now ....

Yeah, I get that. Without regard to your post (which seemed polite and sincere), I prefer to leave WC’s perspective to WC. A lot of discourse occurs here as a result of members trying to speak for WC, especially those that criticize others for making suggestions or expressing their desire for fixes or improvements in the game. Again, nothing to do with your post, just something I think some other members of the community should keep in mind.

So they nerfed the mana again? Really? Here’s an idea! Take it out of pvp and put it back to its original dps/range settings. If i have to get close i’ll just use a gig. Just take it out of PvP because if it wasn’t already close to replaceable it most certainly is now.

Where did this obsession for 3x breeding come from? The only time that may ever had happened was for the Valentine’s day event which is once a year. The only other breeding multiplier higher than 2x is the children’s charity event that also happens once a year. Why are so many people pushing for and upset for something that has never happened? Why do people give into rumours, plan for it, and then come back to reality when they find out it’s not the case - even that is too much for some because they then hate on the devs for their own misconceptions about believing a rumour. You can’t make it up.

Today i tried out some new things. For the first time, i tamed a Therizino. Tbh. I always hated them, they are annoying in the wild and look silly. But now, after i found a 130 Theri, i've to say, they are dope. They are really good fighters and harvester. I just wish they get a weight reduction to wood, fibre and all this stuff. After I tamed the Theri, i transfered him and my character to The Center and wanted to get some levels in the jungle cave, where i found a lvl 140 Megalosaurus couple. So I returned to The Island, with a good Theri and a mate boosted Megalosaurus pack. Later that day, I also tried to tame my first Quetzal. I couldnt find any at the Red Obelisk, so I tried my luck around the Volcano. For once in my life, I was lucky and found a lvl 20 Quetz and tamed it just a few minutes ago. Now I might also try to tame a bee

PS4 - Unofficial Server - Ragnarok So Saturday morning, I decided to try something different, and I went back online and randomly selected a PvE server. First one, I spawn in, and INSTANTLY, my food and water levels are at zero, and I am dying. So I run into the water drinking and eating the berries that are growing right next to the water. While all of this is going on, the screen keeps showing me all the engrams I automatically get.... like EVERY engram. I step out of the water to grab some more berries, and instantly, I'm dying of thirst again. run back to the water, and now I am starving again. What the heck? Needless to say the settings on this server are screwed, and no wonder no one was on it. Take 2 - try another random server .. .description was in German, so not sure what it says. Spawn in, and as I start distributing my attribute levels, I notice that this server too is giving me all of the engrams automatically, and I realize I spawned in as a level 100. So I click on stamina to add a level, and my Stamina jumps up to 23,000, then I add to weight, and it goes up to 1 Million! So this is a hugely boosted server. Oh what the heck, let's just roll with it. So since I'm instantly a level 100, I am able to tame up a Ptera and make a saddle for it right off the bad. (I bola and punched it out) I then fly around the map looking for a place to set up. Viking Beach is full with huge bases, as it the area near the blue OB. Some idiot has blocked off the bridge across the chasm near the center of the map with lock dino gates. Yet they don't even have a base there. Just did it to prevent people from using the bridge. I decide to set up in my favorite spot at the top of the Butte not far from the bridge. So this server is god-boosted on stats for human/dinos in stamina, & weight, and increased for health, melee and oxygen. Plus the gather rates are astronomical. The dinos go up as high as 300 for normal (I saw 500+ levels in the ice cave) and the taming speed is way fast. (A rex took about 65 arrows to knock out, but then tamed up in about 10 minutes.) Bottom line, within 6 hours of starting, I had a complete stone base fully enclosed, with 2 Behemoth gates and 4 dino gates. 2 rexes, 3 Pteras, and 3 Argies, 2 Griffins, and a Raptor. (By making and leaving UNlocked a couple dino traps) It is like ARK on steroids and speed. I decide to log back on Sunday morning, and this time I notice the beginning message (in German) says a bunch of words, and then PvP .... well the server selection screen says this is a PvE map, so this has me thinking that maybe the server switches to PvP on occasion ... maybe that is why the rates are so boosted,? So I fly around some more as I look for dung beetles, and I notice that many of the biggest bases are also totally defensed for PvP as well. Plus I notice that there are also Abberation dinos (roll rats, ravagers) walking around wild on this map. Plus I saw tamed Owls, Drakes, and a tamed corrupted Rex!) Fast forward to Sunday evening, and I have my base defended with 20 turrets, 300-400 rounds of ammo in each, 40 plots of Plant X growing, and I added a Tek Parasaur, a trike and 3 beetles to the gang. Then a guy on a dragon lands on the top of my base, and spends 5 minutes attacking the base (but it is still PvE, so no damage, and my defenses aren't reacting. I go outside to see what is up, and he shoots at me with an assault rifle like 200 times (except no damage) Then shoots of fireworks into the air for a couple minutes. I just look at him, emote salute, and go back inside. He gets back on his dragon and stomps around the outside of the base from a couple more minutes then flies away. Weird. I'm curious to see if the server changes to PvP during the week maybe? When I get home, I will try to use google to translate the server message to see what is going on. Because this server is so extremely boosted, it was super easy to get so much done in a short time. So if I log on tonight, to find I have been wiped by a raid, I really don't care it was kind of fun to not need to tame so many dinos, just to grind out a base. Ridiculously easy, but still kind of fun.

Update on Meshing... “Meshing” is the common term used to reference a variety of exploits in the game that involves going under terrain or behind walls to access unintended areas. While under the terrain, an exploiter may build bases, turrets, and a multitude of other things that prevent fair and fun gameplay for everyone. There are many ways that a player can access these areas but one of the easiest and most common are holes in the mesh itself. The term “collision” in games is what prevents players from being able to go through what would otherwise be hollow 3D objects. Some areas and objects have incorrect collision and provide easy access to areas behind terrain. Other cases of meshing can happen as a result of items in the game or the gameplay functionality they allow. Items like chairs, climbing picks, and platform saddles can be susceptible to exploits like meshing due to how they manipulate the player character. Meshing has been a hot topic within the community for some time. Behind the scenes, we have been identifying these vulnerabilities by attacking them at different vantage points. Our ideal goal is to prevent players from getting into the mesh in the first place. We actively look for areas in maps where collision can be improved or tweaked to avoid the occurrence from someone purposefully or intentionally getting under the terrain. Lol listen linda... listen... why don't YOU PEOPLE lol, stop complaining 24/7 about people complaining 24/7. I've been playing since day 16 and still play... on weekends, first I haven't nor any of my friends complained ever about mana being OP, and now that they are getting nerfed every other patch you're darn skippy we're complaining about them not being able to kill anything further than 10 feet away without 900+ melee lol. So to help you out, and understand more clearly what you're talking about here, I'm picking the side that doesn't want the mana nerfed. K thanks!

Allan, please add patch number. So how do the industrial cooker changes work with wells on official PvE now, or have you still not fixed that? You couldn't ever build pipes on wells, so they have always been completely useless. Still, it's fantastic that you can irrigate cookers with water tanks now. Also, does this patch fix the black triangle artifacts from lightning storms on Xbox? Never really noticed any artifacts from sandstorms.

It is really sad. They have changed the mana from end game to never tame. Why would anyone put the time in to breed them seems they are less useful then a velo now why would anyone want to spend 9hrs baby stage for something so weak. They are beautiful and were perfect before the last seven nerfs please fix the mana!! Let the players have an actual challenge.

However, it may or may not result in extra breeding because people could just save eggs up and breed a lot without such an event. Although it might result in some extra breeding, mostly it would help players that can’t play as often fill up their fridges with fertilized eggs. Either way, not happening and no big deal. It would just make sense, that’s all.

Your post is toxic. You’re doing exactly what you’re criticizing. In all honesty, as far as the community goes, the most toxicity comes from members doing exactly what you’re doing. While I don’t agree that a breeding event should occur (because it just causes lag and messes up the imprints on babies that were started before), I’m not gonna be like you and other truly toxic members that attack others for expressing their desire for events, bug fixes or other improvements. WC almost never responds to a ticket, and the ONLY time they do is when members start a major outcry. It’s the only way to get anything addressed and if your attitude was the norm, nothing would ever get fixed. Go ahead and praise WC, that’s fine but the REAL toxicity comes from the players that attack anyone being critical of the game just like you are doing.

For those continuously asking for breeding events, your not getting it. Its well know that these breeding events results in horrible server preformance on official. While it would be logical to have a breeding event during easter considering what easter is, obviously WC are limiting how often they roll out that particular rate. From the dev tracker:

While harsh-sounding, I agree with the overall message. I have found Boundless to be more entertaining now.. While Ark is still more beautiful, Boundless is far less buggy, and uses almost none of my memory, Boundless uses far less than Minecraft and Creativerse! but ark is still the most beautiful game I have ever laid eyes on. I just wish it wasn't buggy up to wazoo, nor easily abused by jerks. I have over 20k hours in Ark... I have played since 2015. I stopped playing Official Ark (outside of helping my friend) because of how easy it was for jerks in the game to grief my tribe's stuff on PvE. But that was merely the last straw. Game glitches/bugs have caused me to lose dinos for numerous reasons: stances altered, eggs spoiling, dinos starving (all from stuff that was not my own negligence). And some bugs that continue to persist to this day. I got sick and tired of my stuff (and my friend's stuff) getting destroyed by no fault of my own, stuff I put time and effort into. I had so much love and hope for Ark, for the devs of Wildcard to get their act together and make this the best game I have ever played! But how many more years would I hold onto that hope until it came true... 3 years, and my hope has died. Canceled my subscription to Bluefang Solutions due to Ark's memory leaks (or something). I had no mods on my Island, no more than 10 tames, one medium-sized building plus a tame trap, and this is a support ticket I was sent from the company: How can I fix it, when I am not an Ark programmer?

Agreed, and the mana nerf again is really aggravating... it's like the only reason I've been playing was to breed them.. but what's the point lol.. might as well make the mana not even have a breath attack.

Take this event and stick it up your rear ends we wanted a breeding boost like you've given EVERY EASTER typical wildcard disappointing the player base again, not even worth logging in for. Becoming a really boring joke this now all this time and you guys still have server issues meshing issues dinos glitching people falling through floors people losing players and the list goes on! Now you're taking the boosts away we look forward to every year. Screw you wildcard, i hope you guys are better in the bedroom than you are at developing games, otherwise you may very well still be a virgin because you're doing it all wrong GIVE US A REASON TO PLAY YOUR DAMN GAME! because my entire library is more appealing than ark at the moment

Ragnarok Unofficial Server Started off metal farming in the canyons, filled up the indy forge on d1nks motorboat and let the metal cook up. Flew back to base filled up the fabricator with mats to craft polymer and the grinder with stone and wood and grinded up a few levels to level 82 while I AFKed and did a few other things that needed doing. Crafted up a chembench (finally no more mortar and pestle) and a industrial forge now that I was the appropriate level. Installed the chem bench in the base crafting area. I took the forge and installed it into my carrier motorboat. Took a bit of converting and some inspiration from d1nks boat but I got it in and functional, even if its a bit of a tight squeeze. The only problem is the boat is now at structure cap. Took the Ark Royal on her maiden voyage now that she was complete and docked her in the south by d1nks crystal farm outpost, I really need to learn the whereabouts of the metal and crystal here, I know its a good location but I have never used this area. Flew my argy from the south to the canyons to grab some crystal and metal. Just as I entered the murder snow I noticed a beautiful white ice wyvern rampaging about a forest outcrop. Checked the level and it was a 180!. So I quickly checked the coords to the closests nest and low and behold I found a 180 egg in the nest. I was in luck and the egg was fresh. So I threw caution to the wind and nabbed the egg and made a beeline north. The angry daddy wyvern gained ground (or should I say gained air) on me but I got lucky and it lost aggro over the ice lake, obviously a mammoth was more interesting. Grabbed some crystal and metal at the canyon outpost and flew back to base. Need to decide what to do with the egg. Keep it on Rag or transfer it back to my main character on the rest of the cluster, so I stuck it in the fridge for safe keeping. Crafted up another industrial forge, this time for our mainbase. Had a go at placing it but I think I need to expand the crafting area to accommodate it, so I left it in the fabby till later.

Having read some other adventures i feel my third day of playing this great game are somewhat minimilist. I spawned in, viewed my surroundings and immediately pounced upon by a Raptor, dead. Respawn in a different location, trapped in by spikes, great a real funny player has blocked exit from my spawn point, excellent. Restart. A nice open beach, no imminently pouncing reptile. All seems well. I haven't been able to survive 3 days so far, this time I'm determined, focused and maybe a little desperate to actually achieve something this time. I find a nice open space just off the beach, finally somewhere to build that's out of range of other players. I get to work.... Soon a fine thatched structure stand before me. I bath in my building prowess. Now how do i tame dinosaurs hmm. A quick Google later i have my slingshot, bolas, wooden club, narcotics are made and food in hand. I step onto the beach with a vicious glint in my eye, who's first. I'm still unsure of genus of dinos but the one called Elvis in popular films is giving me an insulting look. Bolas fly true, she's taken such a beating from my club that it snaps and she's off like the wind. I haven't come this far to lose. I chase her down and finally render her unconcious, fed and tamed she arises as my first. She looks fine so i name her Majestic, i'm so proud. Homeward Majestic and carry my stuff. Back home i decide that i need to change thatch to more sturdy wood as i had to fight off smaller dinos during the previous night. Back to chopping trees... Part way through renovations i find the turtle looking dino walking out front. An idea occurs to me, this could be my second. Bolas fly, slingshot breaks, Majestic attacks but finally with the help of my fists i ko another. Oh i am unstoppable. I call Majestic back to her spot by the house, good girl. Right, narcotics and food for my soon to be new pet. As i enter the house to get them i hear a strange sound, a cross between a cry and a scream. I turn to see my new unconcious pet being eaten alive by a very angry looking Raptor, by the time i start to pull out my spear its to late, my new pet has died and the Raptor has turned its greedy eyes on me. HELP ME MAJESTIC. She throws herself into the fight but it isn't going well for her. I rush to help, trusted spear in hand. As i take my first thrust i can already see i'm too late. Majestic rears up, squeals in agony and falls defeated. I stand in shock, she can't be gone, we'd just found one another. As the first tear starts to fall the Raptor leaps and i am eviscerated. Respawn back at my sleeping bag at the home that will never be the same now, i realise i was too quick the Raptor is still here, i can here it outside and the frontdoor is still open.... I approach cautiously and spy the evil fiend out there. It turns its head and sees me, lets out a cry and is coming, rapidly. Ha, my house is mainly wood i have no fear of you, i think as i shut the door in it's face and step back. It is then that i noticed the space above the doorframe is empty, i hadn't got around to finishing the thatch to wood changeover. The empty space is filled suddenly by an evil, teeth filled face as the Raptor jumps the doorframe and lands straight on me. Dead, again. Throw controller down, turn off Playstation. Ah life on Ark.

Spent most of the time I was playing fixing up my forge boat. Only had a few hours because Game of Thrones was starting today and wanted to watch a bit of Season 7 before 8 started Gave one of the new players 30,000 thatch.... ive been grinding for 2 days and just threw everything in storage out of laziness. Well he was thankful! Worked more on the boat as Saltire was doing runs around, went to the SE island quickly to get some pearls for a few turrets on top and then took off to the canyon. After navigating through the river Im not going to bring any tames this way on the boat.. the one Argy I had (even with a raised storage platform) kept getting knocked off and chased by spinos. Finally made it to the Canyon. I rarely go down to ground level here, forgot how dangerous it was. Raptors, spinos, baryonyx everywhere! Parked the boat on a semi-safe spot that I know a drop spawns at (easy transfer into cloud and nice loot now and then) then went up and grabbed all the raw metal Saltire farmed up earlier, threw into forge. I.love.keypads. The new boat I put keypads to good use. 4 different pins for different stuff: one to open front doors to forge, one for back doors, one for the hatch and another to turn turrets on/off. Love it. Did a small metal run before logging for the night. Got a big job interview (wish me luck!) That ive been applying for over a year to get.. im 3 interviews in and go for my final one Wednesday! Finally can make some good coin.

Well I have a great job, and love the company and my boss. However, we are a small 35 person company, and we just found out one of our major business partners (without going into sensitive information) has lied to/misled us and our major retailer for the last 4 months, and because of it, we are going to lose a 70 Million dollar/year business we had with that major retailer for the last 4 years. Considering my office only does about 80 million a year, if we lose 95% of it, it will most certainly result in layoffs, and I am the newest guy here with only 3.5 years. Sucks, but I know lots of people have worse thing going on in their life.

Wow one thing fixed that all players run into: Ind. Cookers now pulls water from all connected sources. So No More pipes in enemies areas. Wow again. I like the patch notes new format. Thanks. To All that sacrificed Ovis at the obelisks. Maybe next event. threee tiiimes pleeease. Lol

Forgive me if this comes off as a little whiny but this is my first time on Ark during the Easter event and I don't quite get it. We collect and paint eggs? That'd be cool and all if I were still like 7 and playing Minecraft. The costumes/bunny ears aren't very enticing either. I thought this was a survival game, not a costume simulator. Give us 3x breeding so those who lost their tames during rollbacks/glitches can rebuild and so I can help new players out.

I guess you don't play with other online players in a PVP fashion. I'm not sure how you are "avoiding" meshing other than just not acknowledging it because it doesn't fit your narrative. But have fun with your care bear "tailored experience". You can respond after you have over 3000+ hours in the game and have had to host a PVP clustered server with all these BS bugs...
