  1. Last night we bred our sabres and got a 297 female with a 100% imprint. Today we started with a metal run at the volcano. Took 2 argys and an anky. Didnt get a ton of metal, but enough for now. Came home with 1k metal, 300 or so crystals and 300 obsidian. Im probably going to leave an anky up there sometime soon and a bunch of forges and fast travel and gather a few times a day and pick up the ingots every few days. Atleast until we find a more fruitfull place for metal. After the metal we went on a frog hunt. I grabbed the 1st frog I saw and it was a lvl 180 male. I set it down on a safe rock and the wife takes to back to base to tame. I then start searching for a female and find a purple 165, purple is my wifes favorite color :). So i take it back and we get both frogs prime tamed. Next we take the frogs out to the swamp for paste. I was running short on time so we only grabed enough for a sap tap. We rush home and I make the tap and rush to the redwood to place it. While I doing that my wife makes us each a set of flak armor. And that was it for the day. Tomorrow we get snails and do another metal run and we may throw together a makshift water breeding pen to breed our frogs.

  2. We’re very excited to announce that the world of ARK: Survival Evolved is coming to mobile! Thanks to the efforts of veteran mobile developer War Drum Studios (the team behind the mobile versions of Bully, Grand Theft Auto, and Auralux), gamers will be able to join the massively multiplayer survival experience that is ARK right from their mobile devices! All gameplay footage for this trailer was recorded live using an iPhone 8. Designed and developed by War Drum Studios, ARK: Survival Evolved mobile is free-to-play and puts the dino-taming adventure in the palm of your hand, letting you join forces with tens of thousands of other mobile survivors. This on-the-go version of ARK features the online survival experience contained in the PC and console versions of ARK, including a gigantic island to explore, 80+ dinosaurs and primeval creatures to tame and train, multiplayer tribe mechanics, and of course, crafting and building! Mobile features include: Taming: Use cunning strategy and tactics to befriend, ride and breed the many dinosaurs and other primeval creatures roaming the dynamic, persistent ecosystems across land, sea, air, and even underground. Discover: Unearth rare blueprints and Explorer Notes written by previous human denizens of the ARK from across the millennia, detailing the mysterious Island’s creatures and backstory. Craft and build: Using any means necessary - survive, craft weapons, clothes, and items, and build shelters, villages, or even large cities. Plant, harvest, build, level-up, and customize everything visually and functionally, including procedurally-generated RPG statistics for creatures, characters, resources, clothing, gear, and weapons, both primitive and modern. Play alone or team up to survive: Team up with, or prey on, up to 50 other players in a large-scale multiplayer online first-person environment, or choose single player mode to test your mettle against the world solo. Join a tribe: The 'Tribe' system encourages cooperation, by supporting dynamic parties to share resources, experience points, and re-spawn points. While maintaining the true ARK experience players have come to know and love, this mobilized version of the game has been completely adapted for handheld touch devices allowing for the ultimate survival experience on a mobile device. This includes faster paced gameplay, a unique user interface and a specialised control setup developed specifically for the mobile game. The mobile version also offers optional upgrades survivors can acquire using special in-game resources that will allow players to progress faster, obtain certain buffs for periods of time, build special crafting structures, and even bring your beloved tames back from the dead! 3. Hey Survivors! Welcome to the latest edition of the Community Crunch! The Community Crunch is where we share important things going on with ARK, as well as host contests and showcase creations made by the community! Console TLC 2 Patch Soon! On April 26th we will be updating both Xbox and PS4 with the TLC 2 patch. It is important to note that this Thursday's console patch will be a BIG update. The base game for Xbox will be a 27gb update, Scorched Earth and Aberration will be 5gb and 8gb respectively. We don't have a current indication as to the size of the PS4 patch but we estimate it will be a large update, however not as large as Xbox. The size of these updates is due to the fact that all of the maps in the game have been updated and therefore the files for every map must be downloaded and replaced on your console. In addition to the TLC update the patch will also bring the following changes: - Enabling item transfers and the vanilla-version of aberrant creatures to be moved to Aberration servers. This means that you'll be able to take over your regular Spino to an Aberration server. - Preventing people from building within the Ragnarok Puzzle cave, so if you store any structures or creatures down there, make use of this time to relocate them ASAP as once this update goes live on console, that will no longer be possible. It is important to note that the Turret Update will not go live on console with this update, but instead a future one. You can read the patch notes in their entirety for this Thursday patch on the respective patch notes thread: Community Livestreams! We have some exciting news to share with you today! Beginning in May the community team will be doing biweekly livestreams. During these livestreams we will have Zen Rowe, Chris, and Jen bringing ARK news, and celebrating modding and the community as a whole every other week. We'll be playing ARK, showing off mods, and showing off your community creations for all to see. Survivors are invited to join us in the chat, and sometimes even in-game, to play and chat with the community team and other developers. At this time we're going to begin gathering up your community creations to be displayed on stream. We are accepting any type of ARK related fanart. This can be drawings, videos, builds, ANSEL screenshots, handmade crafts, anything ARK related! We will no longer be running Community Crunch contests here on the forums. The Community Crunch will transition into being our weekly news post, while the biweekly streams will become our new Community celebration initiative. We will instead be running contests on the livestreams, with a chance to win something special if your submission is the best of the bunch. You can submit your ARKwork to our streaming email address: arkfans@studiowildcard.com We'll be announcing our streaming schedule in next weeks crunch so check back in for that next Monday! Be sure to follow us on our Twitch page so you don't miss a stream! twitch.tv/survivetheark Mod Tutorial Contest Update! For our "whacky buffs" themed tutorial contest we got some pretty hilarious submissions. Thank you for those, I had a good laugh 9_9. The winner of the third mod tutorial contest is RedDwarf with his ridiculous Rocket Poop buff! We also have three additional runner-up submissions. All of these tutorials had different ways to implement these buffs and showed different information and techniques. Links to all of the tutorials can be found in the contest post below, and remember that next Monday, April 30th, is the submission deadline for the current contest for Space Day props! Next week I will have a new Wildcard Workshop video ready for you, we will be continuing our coverage of Replication with some practical examples. ARK: Evolution Event! Our next Evolution Event will take place from the 27th of April at 1 PM EST until Monday the 30th at 3 PM EST. 5. Mated the red-orange spino from my last post with a blue sail spino and this came out. Looks more orange than on the father though which I don't like.

  6. Cool, thank you, have not raised a frog yet, set up a pen on aberration but never actually used it before we stopped playing aberration.

  7. I believe my frog breeding pen was only 3 or 4 walls deep. What i did to ensure no baby deaths was to ceiling on top just below water line, they couldnt even have the option The only time you really need to worry is on Walks.. the egg floats to bottom and you cannot move it (So be ready to raise)

  8. Theres a large flat shelf off shore that i think is 2 or 3 walls deep. Would that be deep enough? If so it should be pretty easy to throw together a little breeding pen there that Ill eventually turn into a water pen

  11. I think it's been over a month now looking for a Rex saddle BP without any luck. I've found four good Rex saddles and one okay one during that time, but I'm feeling like I'm in a rut. All I've been doing lately, aside from building that sea pen, is feeding dinos, caving for crates, and hunting red drops. So I shut my servers down and am taking a week off. I'll start them again next weekend and see how things go. Happy Arking to you all in the meantime.
