I don't understand how they can have it ready for pc and not xbox. I'm kind of upset that i bought scorched earth( a finished expansion) when they cant even provide the proper updates to the unfinished base game that they promised us. i would rather have the Fear evolved update than the 3 dinos. to the people telling us to quit complaining....let me guess...pc players?9 points

Considering you send the patches to Microsoft multiple days in advance you guys had to have known the Halloween event wasn't coming to Xbox. Who cares about the Evolution Event... so you announce this now and could not release it on both platforms? to take care of some business? shows how much you care about your xbox fan base when you dont bother giving us any of the content on xbox one. assholes dont say something if your not going to do it and stick to it simple as that .... people may say oh or think oh im disrespectful. no as a dev or publisher should not even bother to mention it then on the day be like oh your not getting the content because we had more important things to take care of. ie we didnt give a crap to release it to xbox players? ....7 points

Alright, I'm usually behind Wildcard and supporting them and defending them countless times, but this-- I cannot defend or support them, this is just wrong. 1) You knew Jesse and Jeremy were overseas, it's obvious things would be delayed/not finished. Not telling us this via your own forums or even social media beforehand, then telling us the day it should drop is inexcusable. 2) Not only are your Xbox fans disappointed in you, some of your PC fans are too. 3) Xbox has continuously missed out on events since release, this isn't new, but promising us we'd finally get an event and not delivering at all and basically telling us "Wait until December for the next event" is arrogant. Basically what I'm saying is, the community is sick of your excuses and the lack of communication. Either you guys need to buckle down and get serious with this and treat your community the way they've been demanding for a long time now, or you'll just lose fans and players. That's not good, I mean yeah, a lot of games/companies lose fans daily, but those are BIG companies and games like Call of Duty and Destiny and they gain more players than they lose. That's not the case here, if Ark continues down this path only your 'loyal' players will remain after the dust settles, and that loyal bunch isn't going to be enough to support the game, I'm just being honest here. Do something to make up for this inexcusable screw-up. An Evolution Event isn't enough to make up for this. Best option is to finish it anyway and release it sometime in November. Nobody will care that it won't be on time for Halloween, we just want the event.6 points

In the few posts I have done here I have ALWAYS touted how awesome the game is but every since the release of Scorched Earth everything is a disappointment and seems like a money grab. I haven't play the game since. When you opened an Early Release game you asked us to invest in your development of the game and to play it and give feedback and be apart of the creation of the game. So when we gave you our money we expect this game which you have made millions and millions of dollars on to be your focus. I watched a Shark Tank episode one time where a couple wanted the Sharks to invest in their old business but not be a part of the new business. The Sharks told them when you invest with someone you want their focus to be on your product and not some other product or it is a bad investment. When you released Scorched Earth you sold us out. In the middle of Early Access you took this unfinished Early Access game and slapped some new crap on it and sold it for more money. Your focus is no longer the competition of this game or delivering on promises you made. Its not like Halloween was a surprise. It comes the same time every year. You had a whole year to be ready. I don't know if you lost your focus, or the wave of excitement has passed and you are ready to be done with Ark and move on. But for the love of all that is holy please man up and finish this game because you sell us out anymore. I am tired of waiting on the Xbox Play Anywhere. I am tired of not having Xbox Dedicated Server Hostings. I am tired of looking for things in updates that get pushed back only to find a fully released Expansion pack that wants to take another 20 dollars from me. The money isn't the issue, I really feel like you guys did us dirty and every promise you break, every hype you fail to live up to is just a heap of coals on the backs of players that are already angry about Scorched Earth. Maybe if you spent less time on the money grab expansion and more time on this game there wouldn't be so many disappointments. This is why Early Release is going to have a short horrible life. People are getting tired of being screwed by companies.5 points

I'm very disappointed guys. I'm a 40 year old dude and have my own business, so I get that stuff occasionally happens that makes it near impossible to make deadlines. But when it happens on every single release, that's not good. I haven't complained about anything at all, not once, because I get the difficulties you guys are dealing with. In fact, the more I learned about your company and its origins, the more I've cheered you guys. But this continued trend greatly worries me for you all. I purchased ARK in the first week it was released on XBox, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. And still do. But stuff like this (never making a single deadline, dropping parts of promised content, completely excluding a huge market share at the last minute) is going to bite you guys. And it's getting old. Get your stuff straightened out, and you'll destroy the rest of the competition with this novel and groundbreaking game. Keep this up, and you'll be a footnote with an asterisk saying something about minecraft for grown-ups.5 points

To make up for this disappointment I would like to see this content get added in for a later date. For example you could add it in for a week or two in November. I am sure that people would rather get the content a couple weeks after Halloween rather than wait for an entire year...5 points

The Dead have returned and for the next week the ARK is undergoing a spooky seasonal change where the air is cooler, the days shorter and the nights longer, and a Blood-Moon shines brightly as zombies, living skelesaurus, and terrifying creatures of the night appear above ground. Running from Friday October 28 through Sunday November 6 on Steam, Fear Evolved 2 will have ARK survivors witness the ARK transform into a dark, eerie landscape teeming with ghoulish graves, overgrown pumpkin patches, and Halloween festivities. Prepare for the ultimate Dino-Ween event, Fear Evolved 2! Survivors should take care when exploring the ARKs as the mythical DodoRex stomps across the land with an army of blood-thirsty zombie dodos in tow and is joined by its flying friends, the daunting DodoWyvern, its zealous ZombieWyvern horde, and a variety of re-animated Skelesaurs roam the world. For those brave enough to face their fears, there will be a number of new items to collect including the mythical DodoWyvern Mask, the haunting Vampiric eyes, the terrifying Clown mask, the beastly Werewolf mask, and of course don’t forget to be on the lookout for more spooky Skelesaurs in the form of; Giganotosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Jerboa, and Wyvern! Not to mention, some old festive goodies will be making a return in the form of thatch-rich scarecrows, custom Jack-o-Lantern carvings, Skelesaur Costumes, Candy-Corn loot drops, Witch Hats, Masks! You’ll also be granted the opportunity to tame endlessly-rejuvenating Zomdodos and ZombieWyverns! We’re also running a little Fear: Evolved contest! Message from Studio Wildcard In regards to Xbox Patch 744 and some of the missing Halloween content, unfortunately we weren’t able to deliver on what we had intended to do for this holiday release. Both Jeremy and Jesse (the founders and captains of our team) had to unexpectedly take care of some work out of the country which affected the development and simultaneous release on both platforms, as well as the content we were hoping to provide. Fear Evolved 2 will not be making its debut on the Xbox Console, and on PC the special attributes/effects related to Werewolves and Vampires will not be a part of this holiday event. We are hoping to be able to release these special effects in a future event, as we understand a lot of players were looking forward to experiencing it. However we did manage to make sure that all PC Content through Version 248 would make it through the update, including Explorer Notes, Mounted Weaponry on Dinos, three new creatures; Kaprosuchus, Chalicotherium and the Diplocaulus, as well as crash fixes and some performance optimisation to memory and rendering. We always try to include everything that mention in the patch notes and sometimes things occur outside of our control, in this case it was losing two star players - going forward we’ll be working hard to ensure that our Christmas Holiday patch will have a simultaneous release across all platforms, and include the content we intend for it - there’s a lot to look forward to and we’ll do our best to make it up to you guys! We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment caused by the lack of the Halloween event for our Xbox players, as well as the missing content on PC. We understand the frustrations but we do hope that you enjoy the rest of the Xbox v744 content and on PC the Fear Evolved Patch. Evolution Event Weekend! I think that's a bit unfair. Sorry if I'm taking this out of context, but you're making it sound as if Xbox players aren't loyal fans because they're upset they didn't get the event. I think it's reasonable that they're not the happiest given that the rug was practically pulled out from under them the day the update was meant to drop. And I'm sure that this wasn't intentional, but some forewarning would've been nice. 'Hey, guys, Jeremy and Jesse are overseas, and we're not sure we'll be able to make it -- keep your fingers crossed, though!' That would've been simple. Especially with twitter. Every weekend this month has been 2x so giving that to us instead isn't a bonus. Talking about a major event for weeks then hours before it suppose to release you say it's been cancelled b/c some people had to leave the country is poor planning. I understand this game is pre alpha but don't give us a lame reason. I feel like WC things the people that play their game are dumb. If you are honest with us then everyone would be a lot happier.3 points

Just an idea wildcard? maybe stop announcing things to be released until you have them done and functinal? sounds crazy I know, but at least this way you'd stop letting down the people who've been supporting your dream? Okay using the 'founders' card as an excuse is silly. If they're the founders it should be expected that they'll be travelling A LOT. Hire more 'core members needed for technical work'. 2 people being the core is too little, especially if they're the founders. If it isn't mysterious, then it's to be expected right? If they're your butter and bread of technical work, you need to hire more people.2 points

Wow, Jeremy Stiglets and his team are literally some of the worst game devs in the history of gaming, lol.... Promise an event all month long, then re-nege on those promises... ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT!! Lmao... People sticking up for this trainwreck of a studio need to sit down, because the thing is, most likely they knew this wouldn't be happening on xbox, they knew it wasn't done, and they knew with most certainty days ago when they submitted an update to Microsoft for approval that didn't have it. Yet they continued to string along and allow an xbox community to grind out and prepare for something they knew was not going to happen. People say they are doing inhuman things, like "keeping up this insane development schedule for more than 1½ years in a row soon. " No, it's called blowing your deadlines, not being able to solve the problems affecting your game, thusly pushing the game back repeatedly due to your failures." This insane development schedule is because they are bad, nothing more. Jeremy, Wildcard, whoever. You had a great idea, but lets face it, you are not capable of executing that idea properly. So, I beg of you, cash in, sell the franchise to someone who knows what they are doing and bow out, give this community the developer it deserves.2 points

At one point my tribe had 15 active players. Now there is 3 of us. Had you guys kept any promises or deadlines over the last 1.5 years then more would play. And you would potentially have atleast 10 more scorched earth players. But with 3 we can barely keep up on the Island. I don't know why I still play this game to be continually lied to, to deal with incompetent CS and tech support, oh and to have my tickets ignored for days, and to receive no response from your CS people. By the time you actually deliver on a promise most of us will be gone.2 points

i'm on a PVP server, and tribes that have been at war for weeks have made peace agreements for this event. People who have been fighting over freakin Dodos getting killed have called off battles to help each other get ready for this event. Parties planned, gear given/traded freely... only to be told DAY OF RELEASE that we are not going to be included. I cannot begin to describe my level of disappointment in the devs. I would expect more from a company who has made so much off of players through an unfinished game. DON'T MAKE PROMISES YOU DON'T INTEND TO KEEP!2 points

This is really disgusting what you have done to Xbox players. And don't tell me you haven't known days ago that you're not going to make it. You're talking about making it up during Christmas Event? Are you kidding me? You never delivered a patch which had all promised features. And you still want to release this game in December? With current management good luck with that, you need it. I have been checking this site for updates on what the event will hold and was excited today to see the trailer for the event...it looked so awesome...got me excited to play later. Then I read on and find out I won't get to play it...I might quit. with the last patch for pc where it was supposed to come out on the 10th but got moved up to the 21st or 22nd, they still released it. why can't they just release it later for us? I say we get a petition started. i don't care when we get it, as long as it isn't next year. get a team to work exclusively on getting it ready for xbox and release it with another patch2 points
