  1. The ARK is getting a unique new denizen today: the hip hopping Procoptodon, essentially a gigantic prehistoric Kangaroo. Carrying up to TWO passengers, in a first for ARK creatures, the Procoptodon is able to cover great distances and leap over obstacles with ease, while the pouch-bound passenger is able to make fully effective use of all weaponry while riding! In addition, ARK: Survival Evolved Steam players are invited to ring in 2016 on the ARK! Starting today at 12 PM EST a gigantic New Year’s Eve ball will descend from the heavens through to January 1 at midnight EST. When it finally hits the ground, a fantastic surprise will be revealed for all Survivors who are on their ARK at that time! It's been a thrilling six months on the ARK, and Studio Wildcard wishes all Survivors a Happy New Year! Thank you to all our players and content creators for helping to make ARK such a success!

  3. Common Name: Thylacoleo Species: Thylacoleo Furtimorsus Time: Late Pliocene - Late Pleistocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild Thylacoleo Furtimorsus is a large, powerful marsupial that can often be found hunting around trees. Its long claws and semi-opposable digits make it an apt climber, a quality that Thylacoleo uses to its advantage while hunting. It clambers up trees and waits to ambush passing prey by pouncing upon them. When something that large jumps onto a target, it becomes stunned and doesn’t stand much chance. Thylacoleo’s most notable fighting quality is its powerful jaws. Once it bites its prey, it locks its jaw in an iron-strength grip that can hold most smaller creatures in place. Thylacoleo then goes on to savage its prey with its sharp claws. If it needs to escape a fight, Thylacoleo uses its muscular hind legs to jump back to safety among the trees. Domesticated Thylacoleo is a moderately strong mount, and its ability to climb trees and jump long distances makes it useful for traversal such that developing tribes often tame it. Small raiding parties particularly favor Thylacoleo, as it is well suited to ambushes and unfair fights.

  5. Hey jat,I am currently in a lava cave, in the middle of it. My game crashed so I reloaded. And now everytime I log in, I'm in the middle still, and if I move about 10 feet in any direction, it crashes again. Over and over again. I literally can't do anything.

  6. What a wonderful time we had last night. There were over 60 people on our official pve server! We waited patiently for the ball to drop at midnight and when nothing happened, we all started telling ARK stories and jokes and really got to know each other better. When the ball finally dropped all the way into the water, there were fireworks, some amazing music and a great announcement from Studio Wildcard wishing us all a Happy New Year! WOW! You guys did such an excellent job and all of us on official pve server 374 were just ecstatic to be a part of the wonderful event. We know there are going to be bumps in the road but we are here to help smooth those bumps out. Here's to a great year ahead!

  7. Ok, that's fine, I didn't see it in the article as it must have been removed, therefore I only answered the question you asked. But if you wish to down vote because I answered a question, then that's up to you.
