seems that way. Iv'e not seen a giga spawn for along time.

(It won't get rid of any gigas that are already spawned though, i did the destroywilddinos command to do that)

Thanks a lot :)
We tried the replace code before but we had Dodos in there instead of nothing and it spawned a million Dodos all over the place.

Okay I am going to ask this here as I spent hour last night looking for info. Anyone in here using Ark Server Manager? How do it add the map info into the manager? I was going to put it in the folder instructed to but ASM has other info in there. Do I overwrite this info or add to it? Or can I insert the info somewhere in the ASM?

Thanks guys for the help in advance.

After spending an entire day tweaking various settings, I think I'm very happy with this procedural Ark. The only thing I wish is I could have gotten the shorelines with a longer / smoother transition into the water. I might try my hand at continuing to perfect it, then test with different seeds.

is it just me or is it only 1 continent or several islands? I have never seen a pgm with continent rivers etc etc, have I configured it wrong or does rivers and such not exist in pgm maps?

If i'm not mistaken, there is a 'River Biomes' that has not been added yet. As of this stage though, you can't really get flowing rivers. You can tweek settings using various seeds to achieve an almost river feel to some areas. Same goes for Swamp Biomes, deserts, caves, etc..

The other biomes are not technically in it till  WC adds it or someone makes devkit mod for the stuff. Far as rivers and lakes depending what seed you use, water frequency and  water level you can get rivers and lakes. As seen in my PGA I made.

Kashin Ark Servers PGA

Very large map, but not bad for my 100th try. LOL

Wanna Post PGA file? Here is mine. It includes SE spawns. Wyverns need tweaking on this file.

But place where people can post their maps at.

Not sure if you found your answer already, but you add the info to the existing game.ini file on your ASM machine. Do not overwrite or you will lose your customized settings, like tame multipliers and stuff like that (although you can recreate that by just going through the settings in the ASM again). The only thing you need to remove is the extra "[/Script/ShooterGame.ShooterGameMode]" since both the old and new one will have that. Ultimately the game.ini file should end up looking like this:

[/Script/ShooterGame.ShooterGameMode]
PGMapName=YourPGARK1
Config settings for your PGArk as described in the inital post
Your other Ark/ASM settings

Then just change the Map to PGArk in ASM start it up and go make some lunch while you wait for it to generate your map (took mine around 10 minutes).

annyone found a way to get more pearls  ?  there are almost no clams on my pg "(

Its a catch 22 with the pearls because they are tied in with the Underwater Objects density. So it spawns oil and pearls the same distance apart in a pattern. I have mine set to 0.415 and seems to be fine. Best thing is to turn your collection rate up on the server for PGA anyways. So you map isn't cluttered with the ground objects like the metal and obsidian people are having.

About about controling the location of Spawn points. I found a map that someone did looks great. Only issue is keep spawning in the Artic surrounded by wolves. Lower level can not survive against an army of them. LOL.

That is all set in your Region Start/End. Can you post the PGA here and I will load it up and see what spawn regions are set as.

You should still have options for North, South, East, and West when spawning in, just like on a normal map. I spawned inches from a Spino's mouth the first time, and a Rex's mouth the second time, but the third time was the charm (still had to run for my life). Made it to level 5 without dying so far. :)

Edit: I suppose it is possible your PGArk was created with only 1 spawn point. That would suck.

Appreciate the help. This is not my work but perhaps we could still improve on it.

You won't if the PGA does not have land mass under it. Which might be the problem in his case

I did post mine on here if you want to check it out. I do have an updated SE dino config added to it. Keep on tweaking it myself.

No I liked the way this one looked. Guy posted video showing  the map. Just the spawns are the issues. If I knew how to change them I could put this in SP and fix it as i dont think in MP I could live long enough to get to god mode. LMAO.

If anyone else is having issue with their spawn locations. Changing the height of the spawn seem to help change the spawn location.
