Primitive+ Bug List V3 & Other Issues

For Xbox Specific Issues, please see the V2 thread for the time being. Alot of the PC bugs are also on Xbox.

Please see below current outstanding issues for the PC release of Primitive+ 1.2

Again, just over 1/3rd of the patch didn't fix anything as intended. List tested in under 2 hours.

Primi+1.2 Fixes:

[NOT FIXED] Obsidian pickaxe damage increased - Still very slow at gathering resources

[NOT FIXED] Lumber gate doors functional - No crafting icon for the doors.

[NOT FIXED] Fishing loot tables adjusted to remove primitive items - People are still getting non primi+ items, for example, Absorbant Substrate, which is used for gas masks and night vision.

[NOT FIXED] Brick gate and gate frame engrams restored - Whilst renaming 'behemoth brick gateway' has technically given the brick gateframe back, there are no gate doors still. 

[NOT FIXED] Metal hammer torpor increased - See below for details

[NOT FIXED] Apiary inventory increased - This remains unchanged. The never ending bees bug is also still there.

[NOT FIXED] Battle-axe damage increased - Whilst the damage has improved, it is nearer to being in line with a Pike which is far easier to make. Given also that the Viking axe is cheaper and does more than the double the damage of this item, this is not fixed/balanced at this stage.

[NOT FIXED] Fish and ribs taming affinity reduced - Using fish as an example, this is still giving affinity of just over double normal meat. This is hugely unbalanced.

[NOT FIXED] Viking axe and battle axe can be repaired - Same as before - also see below issue.

[NOT FIXED] Grindstone should look inside its inventory for materials rather than personal inventory - Still looks at player inventory

[NOT FIXED] - Wooden club torpor increased - See below

On the subject of metal hammer and wooden club. The metal hammers increase appears to be too little, whereas the primitive+ wooden club is still the worst choice over all. 

Lvl 25 dilo:

Metal hammer - 7 hits

Primitive+ Club - 9 hits

Base Game Club - 8 hits.

=====================NEW BUGS INTRODUCED Since ARK V247 and Primi+ 1.2 ======================

This doesn't mean the bugs were caused by the patch necessarily, it may be a case that these bugs were not detected until now.

- Unable to light campfire with sparkpowder placed inside it

- Missing items from V247 ARK Update

- Dried rice weight is wrong. 1 unit weighs 1 weight point. 100 Dried rice weighs the equivalent of 200 pieces of wood.

- Ground cashew is now displaying twice in the Hand Mill for crafting - I may have learnt the engram again after the last update, cannot remember if I already had it.

- Reinforced Concrete Dinosaur Gate can be learnt but cannot be built.

- Fresh poultry only requires 25 food to have dropped on a tame, and then gives the equivalent of raw prime for taming affinity. 

- Unable to make Allosaurus Kibble.

- Once you place Cashew Milk into your inventory, it states it can be 'used'. Clicking on this does nothing however. Unable to find any other use for this item.

- Longbow Tranquilizer arrow usage is weaker than the Xbow. Considering the learning requirements are higher, it should be matching the Xbow for torpor at least. Needs balancing more.

- Long standing one since release - When hosting a Non Dedicated server, nobody is able to join it. Provides the error: Unable to Query Server For Invite

- You are unable to cook poultry or fish on campfires placed down pre 1.2 patch. You must place a new campfire down to cook it.

- Steel safe takes damage as if in wood tier.

 

=============================Bugs still not fixed from Primi + 1.1 patch notes =================================

The below were stated to be fixed in the Primitive+ 1.1 patch notes, but were not. Some have been removed (from Bug Thread V2) as the 1.2 patch has resolved them.

Not Fixed - Metal Hammer Torpor Increased - This is still too low. On testing with dilos, a wooden club did more torpor still. - Patch 1.2 also did not adequately resolve this issue.

Not Fixed - Brick Gate and Gateway added to the engram list - The gate does not exist still.

Not Fixed - Feather, Fire and Obsidian arrows do no damage. When fired no arrow is shown yet it is consumed. Only works on Lonbow

Not Fixed - Lumber gate and gateway added to engram list - Although added, the Lumber Gate Doors cannot be built.

Not Fixed - No rolling pin texture on cooking table

Not Fixed - Lumber walls can correctly replace other walls. 

Not Fixed - Lumber walls can correctly be replaced by other walls.

Not Fixed - Preserving campfire acting as a feeding trough

Not Fixed - Stimbull stamina replenishment increased - It is still the same as before.

Not Fixed - Jam/Preserves now require exact berry the recipe calls for & Tintoberry can now be used to make Jam/Preserves - Only Mejoberry and Tintoberry jam preserves are working now.

Not Fixed - Concrete foundation collision/clipping issues improved - Still unable to go through a doorway with a ramp the otherside (does not matter on ramp type).

Not Fixed - Collision improved on concrete ramps - Cement ramp prevents you from entering or exiting most door ways normally

Not Fixed - Fixed Apiary Mechanic Apiary not working as intended: Drone bees now multiply endlessly when workers are created.

Not Fixed - Still unable to paint any primitive+ building parts, or original items that have been reskinned.

Not Fixed - Carnivores and Herbivores can be tamed with custom consumables - See Pelagornis - Pelagornis cannot be tamed still (does not recognise fish meat as food).

Not Fixed - Fermenting barrel could be more descriptive on what it needs to make things.

Not Fixed - The various preserving items. The descriptions do not really differentiate the differences between them all, yet they do not all do the same thing. Clearer descriptions needed both in the Engram list, and on the item themselves would be handy. For instance, the meat shed costs more than the smokehouse, yet it does not do half as much, but this is not made clear.

==========================Bugs carried forward ===========================

- Old limestone is not recognised. Any new limestone collected is also no longer recognised after a server reboot.

- Buckets of Clay turn into Scorched Earth Clay when a server is restarted.

- Missing items from the V246 ARK update (no new ceiling gates)

- Obsidian arrow do less damage than feather arrows. Feather and standard stone arrows deal the same amount of damage. Flaming arrows do the least amount of damage of all arrows. 

- Fresh Rice & Cabbage now provides 20 food when used for taming, but provides greater taming effectiveness over berry, which give 30 food and less progress. This is unbalanced, especially when compared to base game crops that require a higher amount of food to have dropped, whilst also providing less tame progress.

- Sloped Cement Roof has to be relearned after every server restart. Additionally, any crafted and stored in inventories are deleted upon restart.

- Opening an Apiary inventory that has conjured an insane amount of bees can cause clients to crash to desktop.

- Fresh Poultry cannot be cooked on Campfire

- Fish meat and spare ribs tame things too fast. Spare ribs also requires 70 food to have dropped before being eaten. Could balance out the increased tame affinity from the item if the affinity was toned down a little more.

Salted Jerky and Salted Prime Jerky do not stack properly. Appears to be multiple versions of each dependant on what oil is used. - This does not mean we are trying to stack salted jerky with salted prime jerky. It means there are 3 different versions of each of these items. (1 With crude, 1 with preserved oil from fat, 1 with preserved oil from seeds).

- Normal jerkys made with different preserving oils do not stack with eachother - See above

- Pelagornis saddle is huge.

- Miners Box acts as a feeding trough.

- Firewood Holder acts as a feeding trough.

- Wood Storage Shed acts as a feeding trough.

- Modern storage sheds acts as a feeding trough.

- Deadfall and fishing traps act as feeding troughs

- Lumber ceilings, with a doorway placed on top, and a wall on top of that, now prevent players from walking through the door. Tested with multiple doorways.

- Adobe ceilings, with a doorway placed on top, and a wall on top of that, now prevent players from walking through the door. Tested with multiple doorways.

- Only Mejoberry and Tintoberry jam preserves are working now.

- Everything can walk over small stone fences making them entirely pointless for keeping in small dinos, eg: dodos.

- Stone fence destruction seems to produce a wooden walls destruction appearance.

- Fresh poultry, Fresh Fish and Spare Ribs provide no health benefit when eaten by dinos (whereas meat restores HP).

- Gunpowder Barrels exploding harms friendly structures on PVEdespite having Friendly Fire disabled. This enables people to abuse this and attack other people on PVE servers.

- Whilst under the affects of Wine or Beer, you are unable to place down another Wine or Beer.

- Big Fence (wooden) items are all named 'Wood Fence Foundation' once placed on the ground.

- Primitive Items in Crates are nearly always basic quality from sky drops, making finding things highly underwhelming.

- Allosaurus makes no sounds when moving and lacks any colour variation.

- When placing Smokehouse down in Free Camera mode (K), the smokehouse gives a strange zoomed in render image. See: Rendering Bug

- When demolishing a Well with a chain and bucket attached, the Chain remains floating in the air afterwards. See: Floating Chain

- Similarly, removing Bucket from the Well causes the well to demolish itself, leaving a floating chain.

- Some of the Primitive+ crops are growing with missing/partial textures, or textures that appear inverted. See Grape for example: Grapes 1/2 Texture

- Lumber ceilings appear to have 2 different snap points, making them difficult to line up. Sometimes providing the 'obstructed' message also, where there is literally a blank space. They do not align correctly above doors either. There are still collision issues with the structure. See: Obstructed by nothing

- When snapping the Big Fence Section or Big Fence Post to the next, it can only be placed in a straight line, or 90 degree angle. Unable to place diagonally.  See attached pictures for review:  Straight or 90 Degrees

- When snapping the Big Fence Opening, it overlaps on either Big Fence Post or Big Fence Section, see picture, Overlapping fence

- When snapping either Big Fence Section or Big Fence Post to Big Fence Opening, it doesn't snap to the other end, but instead it is snapping to the opening.  When trying to snap to the other end, it seems to snap above it.  Please see pictures: Snapping to the opening and Snapping above

- Bug with campfires providing extra slots. See This Forum Thread

- Dried Wheat requires 90 food to have dropped before being eaten when used for taming. Provides no noticeable increase in taming amount compared to any other crop.

- Steel Water Tower description incorrect regarding pipes. Says cannot be connected when it can.

- When taming the Allosaurus, when giving Kibble, it is acting like normal meat in both taming effectiveness and tame progress.

- Using 'Melee' with the Musket does no damage. Holding Melee with Musket performs a strange animation

- Water Tower makes no mention that it cannot be filled by anything other than rain water. - Canteens do not deposit water into the water tower. - This needs to be made clear on the water tower as this is intended.

- You are able to snap lanterns into Steel Water Towers, resulting in a lantern that cannot be interacted with due to being embedded into the tower.

- No engram for the base games table.

- Direbear will not eat poultry for taming, nor will it eat primitive+ crops.

- Tamed dinos will not eat 'old' cooked meats. When force fed, will not provide any food replenishment.

- Cooked poultry provides more food nourishment than fresh poultry on tamed dinos. Same for 'in progress' tames respectively.

- There is a spawnable primitive+ Shotgun but no engram to learn it. Additionally, prior to patch 1.1, shotgun ammo was listed but has since been removed. Is this meant to be in the game? 

"Blueprint'/Game/Mods/PrimitivePlusMod/items/Weapons/PrimalItem_WeaponPrimitiveShotgun.PrimalItem_WeaponPrimitiveShotgun"  

Painting Canvas and Flags does not stay when you leave render distance, or quit the game and rejoin, or reboot the server.

- Fishing trap has incorrect icon in inventory.

- New weapon skins that the workshop version used, and seen on the Weapon Rack item, are not being used on weapons in game anymore (since DLC release).

- Adobe doorway placed on adobe foundation - You are unable to go through the doorway when there is an adobe wall above the door frame.

- Cigarettes can be crafted without any Notes in the inventory, instead using any Specimen Implants available.

- Lumber Door does not fit Lumber Door Frame.

- Steel Water Tower pipe connection location in the wrong place, should be moved to the top with the water tank itself, or not allowed to be placed like the description says.

- Some dinos (Giga for example) are unable to harvest animals that provide special meats/fats. Eg: Trike, Phiomia, Mammoth 

 

============================= Old (patch 1.1) QOL ADJUSTMENT ISSUES/SUGGESTIONS ===========================

- Unable to place wood or thatch into standing torches or wall torches. - Patch notes seem to make this an intentional change. Makes very little sense. Can just spam campfires instead.

- When trying to drink Wine, it comes up as 'Beer' on the radial.

- Fish Bait requires poultry now? Is this intended? I don't know of many fishing traps that use poultry as a lure, I do know of fish lures however. Does not seem logical.

- Smokehouse is actually named Preserving Shed, and then when in the inventory of that, it is named Preserving Campfire.

- Meat preserving shed doesn't really serve much purpose since it cannot turn stuff into Jerky.

- Consider updating the Big Fences description to be clearer that they are just wide fences. It is also unclear how the Big Fence Post differentiates from the Big Fence Section, aside from being slightly different in shape.  Post implies that it is exactly that, a fence post, which it is not.

- Cigarettes are incredibly slow to craft. Consider either speeding up the crafting time, or moving to cooking table, so players can actually still move around when crafting one.

- Cigarettes make a slurping sound when consumed. Recommend changing to the coughing sound introduced for swamp fever.

- Brick Door Frames do not quite line up/blend with Brick Walls.

- Meat Preserving Shed item description does not match that of the crafting description in terms of accepted fuels, or what the building actually does.

- Big Bonfire engram/craft descriptions states it accepts crude oil as fuel, this is not the case.

- Pontoon gives the skin/animation of a wooden foundation when being demolished.

- Cement mixer crafting description reads 'muxt be mixed'. Spelling mistake.

================== Even Older (pre 1.1 patch) bugs carried forward =====================

- Lumber Pillar does not work

- Insanely long load times for the mod itself. Some users are experiencing mod loading times of up to 15-20 minutes. SSD users report up to 5-10 mins sometimes.

- Prime fish meat does not exist currently.

- Casteroid does not give full engram display. Some items that do display will not craft.

- Lumber door does not fit brick doorway. Neither does reinforced wooden door. 

- Engram level issues - Construction table is learnt AFTER items that need it can be learnt. For example: Firewood holder can be learnt before the construction table, yet it requires the table to be built. 

- Radio engram is listed

- When place 2 brick walls on top of each other and you remove the bottom wall, you are unable to run under the wall above.

 Able to harvest "Raw Spare Ribs" with a metal spear from Trike. Harvesting animals with dinos also yields similar results with obtaining spare ribs.

- Flintlock pistol uses the 'simple pistol' animation, which doesn't fit the weapon.

- Glass items incorrectly sized (cannot walk through doorway with wall above), and are not snapping neatly.

- Reinforced glass door does not fit door frames. Closest frame it fits is wooden & Thatch. Others have large gaps and clipping issues.

- Rowboat drops you into the water when dismounting. Can also be hard to 'ride' when viewing from certain angles.

- Lantern sometimes drops down at strange angles.

- Adobe Doorframe have issues with various doors not fitting correctly.

- When using cement pillars and building from the ground upwards, when placing a ceiling tile at the very top, there is a slight gap between the pillar and the ceiling.

- You are unable to place ladders against adobe & brick walls.

- Picking up boxes when interacting with market stall when not intended.

 Organic Oil made from seeds on the hand mill does not stack with Organic Oil made from cooking Fat. They have different descriptions so are 2 separate items. Consider making just one version or making them different in some way.

- Painting dinos and people does not stay when you leave render distance, or quit the game and rejoin, or reboot the server.

- Sloped Glass Roof overlaps Sloped Lumber Roof

- Cauldron has no fire visible.

- Unable to make any kibble that requires fish meat.

- Primitive+ crops consume more fertilizer than normal crops when inside a greenhouse.

- Some fully grown Primitive+ crops are invisible at times. For example, Cabbage. (This appears to be temporary. Upon re-entering the area, a red cabbage has rendered).

- Preserving campfire smoke effect is in the wrong place.

-Window / Window Frame issues - For reference - confirmed these will be fixed in a content patch with each window type having their own window piece.

Reinforced Window (wood)

- Too small on lumber frame

- Slight clipping with brick frame (the right hand side of it goes into the wall part).

- Too small for adobe, it also clips much too far to the left of the window frame.

Wood

- Too small on lumber frame

- Too small on adobe. Also clips too far left the same as the Reinforced Window

Reinforced Glass

- Too big on adobe frame.

- Overlaps on lumber frame

- Too big for brick frame.

-----OLD ISSUES THAT COULD DO WITH QOL IMPROVEMENTS/SUGGESTIONS-------

- Consider making 1 wood = 1 lumber so the weights make more sense.

- Engram list could do with some tidying up. Glass is a bit all over the place, for example. When leveling at low levels, learn-able items are not in level order, so you need to go through the entire list to see what you may have unlocked.

- Gunpowder barrel - When lit, it keeps giving you the option to light it. This option should change or be removed once lit to prevent people standing by it when it explodes. Misfire chance seems quite high, upon testing 5, 4 misfired. Consider adding a burning sound when 'lit' as well.

- Primitive+ lighting items are very dim. Consider making brighter or adding a brightness setting to the items.

- "Preserving Shed" is labelled "Preserving Campfire" when you open the inventory screen on it.

- Consider making primitive+ crops provide more food/water when eaten as their raw ingredient. Cabbage provides 0 water and food. 

- Consider reducing the narcotics crafting XP.

- Cashew seed description states it needs a 'Large Tree Plot', whereas it require a Medium or Large Crop Plot. Description needs updating. Cashew tree that grows is very small.

- Consider making glass items have greenhouse effect and raising the engram level to +~5/10 above the greenhouse glass. This will give it a further use as a reinforced greenhouse tier. Adjust item crafting requirements accordingly.

- Some crops show growth outside of the crop plot.

- Allow pin locking to more items, for example, Apiary.

- Consider tweaking spoiling times for some of the crops. Can be difficult to make dried counterparts as they spoil too quickly in preserving sheds still. EG: Wheat.

Fishing is broken again.

Tapajeira is ingame.

Fish Fillet ? So no Way to tame the Pelagonis still ?

Obsidian Pick gives more Limestone.

 

since the Last Patch without Number, i have all few Minutes those Crash. I need longer to load P+, then i can stay in.

The last Minipatch with 49 MB seem to have fixed it.

Still crashes majority of the time.

I'm just about to knock out a pelagornis to verify fish meat taming in a few mins. Need to wait for primi+ to load since the retest on fishing.

now that tea doesnt work anymore, do we get something else for taming fast and not using kibble? maybe some special recipe?????

Are the concrete ramps still considered wood tier? I am at work and have not been able to play since the 1.2 update but looking at these bug reports and the threads on the subreddit for the game itself, seems 247 caused some major bugs in the game and on the Center map that can be scary to play. Memory leaks, falling through world, game crashes. I just wanted to catch some new dinos but I guess the Tape saddle isn't in P+ yet anyway?

The fixes didn't mention anything to do with these dinos (or this meat), so for the most part I've only tested things somewhat related to the fixes. The fixes themselves have been quite specific to only fixing what they aimed to fix, and haven't inadvertently solved much else.

That being said, the above issues do still remain.

Concrete ramps have been changed to count as stone. At least in the data files.

Dung beetles are generally quite buggy anyway even in the base game in terms of them processing things after a server reboot. Would be pretty difficult to tell if primi+ problem or a base game one with these critters at this time.

The crashes with the mailbox being placed and fishing have now been fixed. Just tested to confirm. Have therefore removed them from the list.

I've spent around 20 mins now fishing. I haven't been given anything that is outside of primitive+ items so far. If anyone does get something (such as polymer, or a rifle etc), then please let us know on here.

This list is getting longer each days. Its astonishing that Ced is still working alone and as it look like part time on primitive +.
 They even don't seem to have any test before shiping an update. That kind of "ship or die" attitude is not professional at all.

Is there even a project manager in the whole Ark project?

I can do that but I don't understand what is the nomal behavior of the fishing? just getting p+ items? just getting vanilla items? getting amix of both?
