Luisedgm
New crop: Wild Flowers: Very slowly generate rare flowers (1 per 6 hours), and greatly increase the honey generation of nearby active apiaries by 3% on small plot, 6% on medium and 10% on big plot up to a total of 100% The flowers are usually white, but if dye is placed on the farming plot the flowers will absorb the pigment and change to the color of the dye, this could be used to make some pretty colorful gardens New items: Honey bee lure: made on the mortar&pestle or handmill from 10 sugar and 3 rare flowers, this item can be placed on an apiary to attract bees, the apiary consumes the lure automatically and for the next hour it have a small change of spawning a queen or drone, the chance greatly increases if there are Wild flower crops nearby Guardian Hornet lure: made on the mortar&pestle or handmill from 10 honey, 3 leech blood and 1 redwood tree sap, this item can be laced on an apiary to attract guardian hornets. New mechanic: Guardian Hornets are a very rare and special insect only found in the Ark, they form a symbiotic relationship with the bees, they consume honey and defend the hive allowing the bees to focus on honey production Effectively the apiary becomes a turret, with honey as ammo, as long as there is honey to consume the Guardian Hornets will attack nearby hostiles, they would have settings like the Plant Species X, different from the plant the hornets would deal a minimum damage of 1% of the target maximum health per second, so no matter how much HP raiding dinos have, invaders cannot simply ignore this threat Other advantage over the plant X is that the hornets can ignore direct line of sight attacking over and arround obstacles as long as the hive is outdoors (it simply cease to funcion if its indoors) The hornets cannot orient themselves when the hive is on the move, so they do not work if the apirary is on a mobile platform, even if the platform is still The disadvantages of the hornets as a defence is that they consume too many resources, and a hive would require maximum honey production (from wild flower bonus and bee lures) to keep up with the costs, the hornets also cannot attack targets underwater and the hive must be placed on solid ground This one is not related to bees, but i think it would be nice: New crop Edible mushrooms: mushroom spores must be used on a farming plot that is not under direct sunlight, so the plot must be indoors and have no greenhouse effect on it Mushrooms accept rotting meat as fertilizer A full grown plot will generate edible mushrooms that must be dried before consumed and will occasionally generate a rare mushroom (1 every 6 hours or more) Dried mushrooms are not liked by most herbivores, but humans can use them as a viable source of nutrients that last a long time and some animals usually found in caves love them. mndfreeze
Hornets are actually the arch-nemesis of bee's in the real world. Japanese hornets will wipe out entire hives with only a dozen or less members on their side. Its pretty brutal
Luisedgm
Yes i know, but creatures in ark are nothing like their real life counterparts, see the Dilophosaurus for example.

Luisedgm
Could be Killer Bees instead (but these also murder honey bees in real life)
mndfreeze
I think just making them bee's that are guarding the hive would make them the most sense. They could be larger more agressive bee's getting turret fired out
