Bulldawg2010 Posted December 30, 2015 Share Posted December 30, 2015 Using my brothers Xbox as a server but I have a few questions. 1st- does his Xbox have to be running ARK 24/7 for the server to be up? 2nd- does his Xbox have to be on 24/7 for the server to stay up 3rd- can anyone join the server? I want as many people to join or will I have to invite everyone that wants to join? was looking for a FAQ but all I could find was the stickied non dedicated. If you are looking to host a dedicated server the game will only run if the host Xbox is powered on AND has Ark running. That unfortunately is what a server is, it only hosts the world, nothing else. Anyone can join an open server. You make it public with no restrictions you will soon have a few people stopping by! There does not seem to be an official FAQ.
