Giant Bee taming

I’m not sure if anyone’s still even looking at these forums but figure it’s worth a shot. I’m having trouble taming the giant bee, and I can’t figure out if I’m just missing something or doing something wrong or what. I have yet to find an actual hive in the mobile version. All I find are the giant bees roaming around in the typical spawn areas. Even with ghillie and bug repellant they’re constantly throwing drone at me. Periodically I’ll see it pop up the “tap to feed” message but it’s gone as quick as I see it and can never actually get it fed before more drones are popping out. Since this is the only source of honey in the new mobile version, it’s making certain recipes or games inaccessible. Anyone have a suggestion? Are there hives that I’m missing somewhere?

Rare flowers should be on your last hot bar slot. Because sometimes other players have tried taming the bee and given up it prevents other players from taming it. Finding a fresh hive is normally better. They are located in the redwoods on the thick trees, I find them mostly at 50 lat 55 Lon. Perhaps this video will help
