Ship Combat: Take the helm to manually aim and fire your broadside cannons, either solo or as a cooperative multiplayer team! Utilize specialty ammo like Incendiary and Corrosive Cannonballs to give enemy armadas no quarter and send them to Davy Jones’ locker - all without micromanaging a crew. And by completing missions together, your Parrot can also earn Bonding Feathers, a wildcard resource which substitutes any imprint or passive tame requirement, with effectiveness scaling from your Parrot’s stats. Cinematic Cutscenes & Milestones: Track your survivor's journey through entirely new Milestones! Prove your mastery across a wide range of challenges - from commanding naval fleets and unearthing treasure, to conquering Genesis gauntlets and taming powerful X-Creatures. As our largest ship to date, we’re taking a little extra time to refine it further and make sure it’s ready for a smooth release across all platforms. Alongside the Galleon, we'll also be introducing new technical systems that will increase the number of player-built structures that can be placed on ships by up to four times, depending on the ship class. This will allow for even larger and more elaborate ship builds once the Galleon is ready to leave port. v89.24 - Major version for Servers and Clients (Steam v89.25 / Xbox, PlayStation v89.19) ARK GENESIS: PART 1 LAUNCH Updated all legacy Genesis creatures, items, structures and environment. RKGS Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Mining Drill seems underpowered compared to its ASE counterpart. It got buffed a few times in ASE, did we just copy-paste the initial underpowered release code from ASE? Also, 1 craft per blueprint still... why? It's not even a Tek tier item, nor is it such a powerful item/object like a MEK to warrant this limit. High tier/damage Ascendant Mining Drills do not even gather more resources, and from testing don't even seem to harvest resources faster... It's only durability. I could understand limiting MEK blueprint crafts because top tier MEKs are annoying to deal with, but Mining Drills are easily accessible to every player, and again, higher tier ones don't even increase harvest yield, speed, etc. We also need a "harvest only" feature on it as well, and preferably just in the game in general for all creatures, the tools, player. Trike charge still seems to be buggy too, just stops mid charge frequently, especially in Aberration surface entrance tunnels. No Genesis trailer either? 1
BadRog Posted July 3 Posted July 3 Here we go again, I just want to play it after I payed the extra $30 please 1 1
RKGS Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Just did some testing on ASE with the same exact harvest settings. The Mining Drill seems to be getting at least 2x if not up to 3x more metal, and at least 2x more Keratin on Aberration. No "Harvest Only" option for Magmasaurs is a huge blunder too. Anky still reigns supreme
MikeDrako Posted July 4 Posted July 4 All this waiting has made me lose interest in playing and buying the DLC. The DLC with the ships should be free for all ATLAS owners. The DLCs are too expensive for the content. Maybe I'll buy the one with the ships at a 75% discount. The DLC with the dragons is a complete disaster. 1
NarcoDexXx Posted July 4 Posted July 4 How do I return my purchase. I am livid you release a DLC for purchase before the map and game are even available to play. I STILL can't play, I want my money back.

kuovaP Posted July 4 Posted July 4 It is so great. And it would be even better should I be able to join one of the servers. How about releasing enough of those for once? 😞
Dinoking117 Posted July 4 Posted July 4 (edited) Why do you have to pay for the tides of fortune to use the ink that the free octopus produces? Edited July 4 by Dinoking117

I also dont like how plain under the ocean is.
Wratheternal Posted July 6 Posted July 6 This is all bad judgement. Why would you do a big release right before a major holiday when the players will have day off? With the track record of releases that you have? It’s like you guys like the hate. I think this is all bad juju from Atlas. That game had so much potential and they gave up now you try take parts of it. The curse is real.
KnightsOfArkASA Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I know it will take some time to work out the kinks and the bugs with this major update but if everything gets smooth out, I really like the new things that have been added. The dragon Topia skin is awesome. I like the concept of the Genesis map. I do hope in future updates. There will be more detail added to the ocean floor. You guys have given us so much content and so many maps. I am not impatient at all. I understand that it will take time to get all this worked out.
Monky894 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I like the idea of the dragons, but I dislike the cartoonish design and the animations feel weird.

NotGhaeilge Posted July 6 Posted July 6 almost 7 months for this garbage? Holyyyyy. That wild. All this talk of ocean updates, and its absolute trash. Theres nothing there. Cant even go to the bottom. 7 months to do absolutely nothing but add in 2 dlc for no reason. And charging 50 bucks for it when all we wanted was gen 1. Lowest servers for new map release by the way. Nowhere near enough, zero testing, zero anything. Absolutely insane work. I didnt think you could do it, but you definitely outdid yourselfs with just how poorly you know how to make games. 1
EndlessDuck Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Oh I think devs forgot to add that thing oceans have... Oh yeah! The floor! 🫤 All biomes lack ambient sounds ASE Gen 1 used to have. Gen1 is half-assed because development power went to boring paywalled pirate crap and Toothless the dragon from Temu. Water physics is cool. Would love to see It on all ark maps, X-Creatures return is neat. 1
Kyoshi185 Posted July 8 Posted July 8 The state that these things launched in is unacceptable. And a lot of us a sick of the trickling of content. Just release the map with the creatures and all the other content all at once when it’s ready. I really hope the fans are listened to, but I doubt it. If things continue like this… well, there are lots of other games to play.
