In this edition of the Sunken Scoop we'll be covering all the newest additions in, well, Additions! Read on to find out more! If this is your first time diving into the deep end, the Sunken World project is a dedicated team of individuals who are looking to spruce up the seas in the same way that Scorched Earth offered a unique, biome specific challenge to survival! New creatures, resources, structures, items and more, all set on a huge custom map, we're looking to give ARK's oceans the TLC they deserve! The main goal is to bridge that huge gap between early and late game ocean exploration, and make it much more viable and more fun to live a life beneath the waves. This is unofficial content and is only related to our mod. It is in no way related with the official game and its content releases. Let's dive into the scoop! NEW FEATURES Sunfish Here comes the sun(fish)! This horizontally challenged fish has begun spawning in a shallow sea near you, making for an excellent (if unconventional) early game mount! The sunfish behaves much like its real life counterpart, swimming about without a care in the world, despite the seas of ARK being much more dangerous than our modern ones. Additionally, the sunfish is a prolific predator of jellyfish and will happily snack on Cnidaria in the wild. This craving for Bio-Toxin flavouring is how you'll domesticate a Mola of your own, simply passive feed these gentle giants with Bio-Toxin (or Regular Kibble) to add them to your tribe! Both tamed and wild sunfish can be periodically scraped for a reasonable amount of raw and prime fish meat, all without hurting the animal! The amount of fish meat you can harvest scales with the Sunfish' food stat! Sunfish also have an immunity to jellyfish stings and eel stuns, and gather increased amounts of Bio-Toxin with their attacks! Massive thanks go to ZCI for the model, texturing and animation work, and snappin for setting it all up in the kit! As an extra bonus, the Sunfish also has a small chance of dropping the Tattered Artwork "Midnight Sun". This is a placeable, decorative structure version of Sunfish' feature art in the discord (which you can see below)! Sargassum Whatever floats your brown macroalgae! Sargassum is replacing Reeds as our sea-Thatch equivalent, and can be gathered with the Stone/Diving Knife in the same way as Seagrass. It spoils into Thatch in the same way that Seagrass spoils into Fiber. Thanks to ZCI for the icon artwork for this new resource! This most recent update also fixed a variety of bugs, and made some small changes to many already released creatures! As with every update, a full list of patch notes can be found on the TSW Discord.
