Welcome to the far lands, survivor. Here in these untamed wilds, you will live as one of the last people remaining after a great calamity ravaged the land, struggling and striving to rebuild what was lost. Work together with your fellow refugees to survive day by day, discover the secrets of this land and its creatures, and fight off the terrors of the night.

 

Set on Valguero, Sword and Claw is a medieval roleplay server for ARK: Survival Ascended run by a passionate and experienced admin team. In Sword and Claw, you will create and play a character in a hostile post-disaster, dark age setting, with in-depth lore and storybuilding. It is still in its development phase, and we need a community for which to tailor the server, its rules, and lore. We want to build the server with you!

Major features of Sword and Claw include - - - -

- A major focus on player choice and agency

- Periodic polls to determine major features

- A large variety of creature additions, including Asharavel Bestiary, Paleo Ark (all mods in the series), Appalachian Denizens, Dragon's Kingdom and more

- A partially ruined hub city, ripe for repair and rebuilding, where you and your fellow survivors will live, work, and defend against the horrors that terrorize the land

- An in-depth economy

- A guild and job system providing perks based on your profession. Brew special potions as an alchemist, receive a special companion pet as a ranger, apply special powers to creatures as a runist, and much more

- Start out with a small roster of medieval-themed tames unlocked, expanding with roleplay and progression

- Dinosaurs are mysterious and unknown to start out; Research them to unlock their taming and get bonuses

- An evolving, player-written bestiary, where you decide what our creatures are called and how they're recorded (done via Dino Renamer)

- Long-form questlines and events run by experienced administrators

- A variety of hazards that represent the aftermath of the great calamity; Blood moons rise and plagued monsters follow, seeking to destroy you and your people
