“Everyone’s favourite Quantum levitating Echinoderm”

So this is my entry for the creature submission for Genesis pt.1. Hope you guys n girls like my take.

This is a Crinoid, an ancient echinoderm that lurked deep within the oceans of the Jurassic. Bizarrely this ancient starfish evolved to climb out of the ocean & into the vast expanse of space. These Echinoderms cling to orbiting asteroids feeding on Ambergris, at the moment of danger they take to the stars.

Zero gravity floatation

Crinoids evolved to utilise a bizarre ability thought to only exist as a theoretical suggestion, living within the Lunar biome these Echinoderms achieve a form of quantum levitation in which appears as zero gravity propulsion. It’s believed that the organelles present within the main body of the Crinoid functions as an intense magnetic field generator in which achieves a form of flux pinning or quantum levitation, the result causes the organism to suspend indefinitely at a set altitude. The fronds of the Crinoid assist in the manoeuvrability of the Echinoderm while moving through the air, though despite well suited within the Lunar biome the Crinoid is capable of using this outside of this terrain however with much strain.

Photon beams

When running or hiding no longer works to one’s favour animals often resort to the offensive, and the Crinoid possesses a devastating ability to retaliate. Much like a plant the fronds of the Crinoid has evolved to become photosynthetic in nature, soaking sunlight as well as solar plasma as an alternative to obtaining energy whenever ambergris becomes scarce. However when the creature faces danger that it knowingly seldom to win the Crinoid is able to expel this potential energy in the form of photon beams.

Barometric protection

Much akin to an umbrella the Crinoid utilises a form of protection against atmospheric pressure as well as debuffs caused by weather conditions particularly harsh sunlight, heavy downpours & snowfall, increasing hyperthermal & hypothermal insulation caused by the fluxes by 84 so long as the Crinoid splays forth shielding its Survivor.

Ambergris filter

Crinoids are filter feeders by nature where they use their fronds to accumulate solar plasma as well as microorganisms that float around the Lunar biome, their preferred source of food & fuel is Ambergris in which drifts through the air as fine particles. Passively the Crinoid accumulates & creates Ambergris clumps in which can be used to raise infant Magmasaurs as well as fuel for the the Astrocetus’ bomb attack, in addition the Crinoid acts as a superior preservative containment for 9hrs/20mins.

I'd definitely use it. It adapts to any biome on gen1. 10/10 skin. If it wins and stays as you suggest, it'd probably be the best... Uuuhm... Would it count as a shoulder creature? Or would It be something else?

It's a really cool idea but ... ahem... actually crinoid is not a extinct taxa, there is a lot of crinoid currently existing in our oceans... ok geek time ended

What can be cool as a taming method is to feed them ambergris, making them to follow you for a time, then, you can lead them to a zone with solar radiation allowing you to tame then by this process (photosynthesis).
