The Monster Hunter series would disagree with you. 😉

I, however, do agree with you. 👍

To be fair, monster hunter will also go “lol, lmao” and make dlc thats literally a whole game in an of itself and chuck in TUs for free. That said, I still violently cry out into the void hoping they give me back gammoth.

to be honest, they can charge as much as they want for a pack of cosmetic skins, you are not forced to buy them, I think it is much worse to sell single creatures for 5 euros or dollars especially if you think about pvp especially because at the moment they are strong creatures that create an imbalance between those who buy them and those who do not, equally serious for me is selling an incomplete msppa within a game that is still very far from being complete, in my opinion you start a project I finish it and then I start another one I do not start many and then do a bit of one and a bit of the other at alternating times so however good you may be it is easier to make mistakes

79 skins is quite good but not for $15. I understand that we as players as walking advertisements are not worth it because half of these people, including me, watched this series downloaded from the internet because Paramont+ is not available in my country and Paramont+ is blocking VPN. But I hope that the money from this will go to the writers because the series has potential and really good foundations for something great, but I feel that I, who am studying to be a mechanical technician, would write a better script than professionals who know this field. And maybe you will wait with this addition until December when the series comes out because I don't want to believe that there will not be a delay of half a year And first take care of optimization and servers and then things like that

This is a great game, but ruined mostly by greedy companies who just want to exploit smaller ones. Wildcard is great, but nitrado being a monopoly and snail games, just well..... being snail games ruins the game, all they care about is money and they dont care at all about this great game. Wildcard should really try to get snail games and nitrado away from this game. Also, 15 dollars is way too expensive this gotta be free or no one is gonna get it

They originally told us that their game couldn't handle a map any larger than The Island to. This statement as an excuse to why instead of adding the promised desert biome to The Island map that they had to make it an entirely separate map in their paid DLC Scorched Earth. Then not long after a modder gave us Ragnarok which is 4x the size of The Island.

For that matter, they used to tell us that their game couldn't handle more than 2x rates. That was 2 or 3 2x permanent rate increases ago. Base rates is like 8x or more than original when A.S.E. first launched.

my post was reference to ASA not ASE. Rates change, and no matter what the rates are vrs were; was not my point at all. It should be a reward not a backhanded apology is what i am saying. Them doing 3x just proves the servers can handle it and only when they cant say they messed up and shove skins down our throat do they run 3x 🤥

Considdered the ammount of effort to make a full game or just a few skins, $15 is way overpaid.
And how sweet the idea the writers getting that money would be, reality will be just Snail cashing in.

The extra life event increasing rates shows the servers can handle this when its required.

I think the main issue is the 70 person cap on servers and holding increased rates at the commencement of a new map.  When new maps are released there should not be a fortnight of increased rates to get started as that just means people cant get on said servers to play and the ping is way too high.  When a new map lands the challenge should be to learn the game and encounter the hazards etc., a lot of the old ASE players know these maps so we don't need 2 weeks of increased rates to get started on these.

Isn't that the whole point for delaying open transfers? I always wondered and don't know when that switch was to increased rates for a new map... very counterintuitive and ironic in my opinion 🤣

Ill buy the skin pack when you repair the base game, no more new dinos, or new maps, no more money out of our pockets till the game stops crashing, freezing, glitching, black screening......the sheer amount of crash notifications ark receives would have to break records for amount of crashes a game has per day.. this comment is still in respect to the game being a real fun game when those things are not present. good games will get extra money like a good waiter/waitress gets a good tip.. keep spiting in my coffee and ill never open my wallet again

when will the suggestions section of this forum make sense? when will it start doing what players want? WC you literally have a wish list, some requests have a huge number of supporters, but you prefer to do things that are unnecessary, unrequested and sometimes even hated by a large portion of players. you want more players to play a game that is still in progress and you want them to pay you for incomplete products then maybe you should do something that players want instead of driving them further away from your game.

a follow up to this, can yall imagine this game without all the problems, I was playing on Sunday and i was having a blast, was in the zone on ark where the rest of the worlds problems are forgotten then had 8 blackscreen's in a row after a crash. I was thinking, this game would be the most popular game if they can get it repair, I'm hoping the 5.5 will helps tremendously performance. this game may very well be heading to a special place in the history of gamers, please lord help them get this game to the best it could be, what an amazing time that will be

I know; however, that time likely will never come unless the IP gets transferred to some other owner.

The absolute best time in the history of this game was during the period when it was owned by Studio WildCard; before they were forced to sell themselves to snail. During this time, there were new creatures and new items and new mechanics added to the game every single month; and all of it for free! You just had to buy the game. There were bugs and glitches back then to, but usually they were personally addressed and fixed quite quickly. There was frequent and personal communication from the development team as well and they often showed both their passion and enthusiasm for the game they were creating as well as that they listened to and cared about the players' input.

After they sold themselves to snail, all of that slowly eroded over these last 8 years. It started with the breaking of a promise and the release of a cash-grab DLC for the game; then continued until where we are now.

At first, up through the development of the Extinction DLC for A.S.E., much of the same enthusiasm, passion, personal contact, and generosity was still shown because the majority of WildCard's original studio staff were still connected to the game. Even through the development of the 2 Genesis DLCs a lot of this could still be seen for the same reason, although further cracks and distancing were beginning to be shown. After that though, it all started to go very downhill; slowly at first with the obvious distraction from Ark II by way of creature community votes and The Lost Island and Fjordur; then very fast at the breaking of another promise and the announcement of A.S.A. Now, either none or almost none of the original WildCard staff are still connected to the game and it has been entirely taken over by a parent company that not only values money over people but also has absolutely no idea what its doing. A company that values money over people, but knows how to effectively get that money, can still create wonderful things. Snail has no idea how to do business properly.

These same issues that you're having are ones that were promised to be, but never were fixed from A.S.E. Now they exist in A.S.A. but in an even wider assortment and the company that owns the game has shown over 8 years that it does not care about fixing things unless it can do so with little to no effort involved.

8 blackscreens in a row after a crash? Well, you can still launch and play the game for some period of time right? At least long enough for that 2 hour no refund Steam policy right? In that case, I'll focus on making this $5 fantastic tame that I'll add to the game which will, if previous history is any indication, only break more things.

This is the state of the company that owns the game. Ark was already in a special place in the history of gamers. It has since begun to move away from that place.
