The foundational ideas and a brief summary of its abilities:
Vasuki will be able to use its skin shedding capabilities to acquire different effects , which can be used for self buffing or ally support.
Vasuki can bask in the sun building up energy that can then be used in the form of electric shocks and waves.
overall , it specializes in support and area control/protection during raids , boss fights , or just general pest control.
DISCLAIMER:All abilities are just SUGGESTIONS in order to give some ideas.WildCard can pick and choose whatever they like the most. Therefore I have added more abilities than a usual creature would have.

Bite attack(, , )a normal bite attack that
Curled up stance(Press Space, , ): While in this stance , vasuki can sunbathe and gather heat that gets turned into energy that can then be used with some of the other abilities. This stance also allows it to use some additional attacks.
Launch/Constricting (, , )(only available when in the curled up stance, or near the surface of the water) this ability locks onto creatures like the deinonychus pounce. vasuki would then launch at the creature and after the target is hit, vasuki would wrap around it , immobilizing it and then preceding to constrict its victim.
Tail shaking(Click C, , ): :this ability can be activated only in the curled up stance. The tail makes rattlesnake-like sounds that scare away most pests in a set radius. Also when vasuki is charged from the sunbathing, the tail shaking acts like a power line that transfers energy into nearby structures without the need of gasoline or generator.However , the proximity is quite limitedand the energy depletes quickly , as it is not meant to be a main source of energy. think of it as a backup generator.
Electric Prod tail(, , ): again , only usable in the curled up stance. When the snake’s tail is charged it can act as an electric prod , pacifying the hit creature, deterring even the fiercest predators from continuing their attack. the tail attack can use different amounts of energy. the more energy used the bigger the shock wave would be.
skin shedding(Click Control)::vasuki can change between different scales by shedding its skin (like the stego plate changing but with extra steps). ;
camouflage: Rock Drake-like camouflage.
healing: increased healing speed.
insulation: heat and cold tolerance plus additional resistance to fire and ice attacks.
armor: raw damage reduction.
(I won’t mention any rates as the balancing of each of these effects would ultimately be decided by WildCard)
-Vasuki can activate the current effect it has using key bind (X) for a limited time, while its food starts to deplete rapidly upon the effect’s activation.
-To change between the different effects you must shed your skin , which is then left sitting there on the ground as a full-sized empty shell of what once was the snake. The changed skin will start to degrade over time , and parts of it will start falling off and sticking to nearby allied creatures and survivors, granting them the previously used skin effect. it would basically create an AoE where all allies get a certain buff depending on the skin you were using.

Instead of shedding you can collect the snake's skin whenever it is ready to shed , and use it as an Armor chest piece/saddle attachment (like the glide suit or torches) that temporarily grants you one of the aforementioned effects.
-more info: each effect lasts for 5 minutes till the snake skin attachment/ shedded skin naturally wears and falls off
-the snake skin starts degrading upon extraction, not after you apply it.
-you can’t constantly change skins and shed , as there will be a cooldown.

Electric shock:
Eel-like AoE attack that uses all the energy Vasuki has stored while basking into one big electric attack that deals moderate damage and momentarily immobilizes targets (but doesn’t dismount because: annoying). shocked creatures would panic and leave you alone , scattering away.
Details:
Really fast swimmer (among the fastest in the game)
Decent land speed with medium stamina drain (about carno speed)
Weakness: Mainly relies on ambush ,hence it is weak in most head to head encounters (as it can easily be out DPSed by most pack critters and heavy hitters)
Taming Method
To tame vasuki you will have to lure it Into a bunch of tripwire alarm traps. Upon setting them off they will emit a loud noise which would confuse the snake , and temporarily daze it (for about 15 seconds). During all that you should feed it as much narcotics as possible , repeat till knocked out.
You can increase the daze time by using other loud noises such as the war drums or creature roars that will further confuse it. Each additional noise will add up to 5 more seconds to the overall daze time.(Can't be spammed , so each noise source will count only once per daze).
After being force fed enough narcotics it will fall unconscious and then you just tame it the usual way.
Wild:
-In the wild, vasuki can be found basking near water bodies and swamps, waiting in an ambush. Unlike the titanoboa which chases around its prey,vasuki would stay hidden in one spot till something unfortunate enough wanders too close to it. It is a rare creature to find , simply because the ecosystem can't sustain this kind of predator in large numbers.

How could constriction work and wouldn't it be too complex?-I would imagine it would work similar to the thylacoleo pounce , where the snake will launch and grab you , displaying more or less the same animation with all the different creature species. The constricted creature would in turn be into its falling/swimming animation (again, just like the thyla).this should theoretically simplify the mechanic and make it possible even with some visual displacements and clippings.
Wouldn't it be too similar to basilisk?- Simply put; No. appearance wise they might look somewhat similar, both having weird tails and keratin structures on their heads (even though WC can and will change the design). However , they are vastly different when we take their abilities into account, as well as their niche and in-game role. vasuki specializes in area control and support , while lacking when it comes to brute force and health points.
Doesn’t it have too many abilities?- as stated in the beginning, all these abilities are just suggestions that I have thought of. WildCard can include , cut or add whatever they want in the final product as my ideas are simply meant to show some different ways in which they could make the snake work.
