But Megaraptor isn't interesting, it's just yet another theropod we don't need. The only one who GETS a pass is Ceolophysis, but that's only because it's a TRIASSIC DINOSAUR... something that we, Do not have. I mean seriously! We have only THREE tames from the triassic, four if you want to be technical and include Lystrosaurus, but even then none of them are DINOSAURS. So if Ceolophysis were to win, it would be FAR more justified than yet another big cretaceous carnivore.

This time around? The late underdogs are Xeno and Acinonyx, they got into the top 10 the latest (I think two or three days late?) . For the steady first place, it’s harder to say. Penta was leading the charge for a long time but Megaraptor now has first place. And now it seems like Penta is about to regain first place. Unlike the previous steady winners, who as soon as they got to first place stayed there, this seems like a closer race, in both fronts.

What I am here for are to offer some alternative suggestions to abilities and how it can fit into the meta without aching over it feeling like other creatures. Abilities revolve around non bleeding blood based abilities, buffs and debuffs to healing, and some food preservation. My original idea was a Nightfeeder/biological Tek Claw/stealth hunter type creature that wasn’t as tanky as other creatures it’s size. A hit and run nightmare with a significant weakness and fear of fire. -Blood Thinner: Part of a dual type bite that thins the blood allowing for a 5% increase to bleed damage dealt to the target, Megaraptor itself cannot deal bleed but paired with an Allosaurus or Deinonychus it is exceptionally deadly. -Blood Clot: The other side of the dual bite, this effect halts all healing and stamina regain effects including Snow Owl/Daeodon healing, self healing like in Baryonyx and Argentavis, and Sweet Veggie Cakes. -Blood Frenzy: A status effect that speeds up the attack speed on successful hits, at peak Blood Frenzy the Megaraptor has a blinding attack speed and a speed buff that allows it to chase down faster prey. It will decrease over time similar to the Carcharodontosaurus speed buff but more gradual. -Hot Blooded: This passive effect makes Megaraptor immune to slowing and freezing effects, this includes Snow Owl healing and Managarmr freeze breathe. -Cold Blooded: An active ability it can use to hide from turrets and other creatures used in the detectionof enemies like Parasaurs. This ability forces you to crawl across the ground slowly and after exiting this mode it will be slowed for about 10 seconds, attacking in this mode will deal a higher surprise damage. Most dinosaurs will also ignore you in this state. -Fire Fear: A passive debuff in which the Megaraptor takes increased fire damage (50%) and is uncontrollably frightened when lit aflame, like in a Yutyrannus fear roar it will run for cover. Taming requires you to have a torch in hand and stay near a fire source, this prevents the Megaraptor from immediately aggroing and will stop their aggro within the heat range. To tame stay near the fire source until it approaches slowly, two animations can occur where either you have to feed it Shadow Steak Sauté (or Battle Tartare) or you will have to wave your torch to get it to back off. Rinse and repeat until tamed. I wanted both a powerful yet not unkillable creature with a unique balance with strong abilities and weaknesses. Really cool to see some of my older ideas pop up in this submission and the art inspired by my original design years ago, the submitter did a fantastic job on this vote submission with all the different art and abilities. I like this a lot, great ideas

You could have a rex with maxed out dammage, it's not going to mean anything to a stego with an ascendant saddle of its own, or even a herd of trikes with ascendant saddles and a charge attack (Which need I remind you can stun). Ceratos don't do much damage because their role is to be a bleed healer, inflicting bleed on their enemies and allowing their carnivorous allies to heal off of their foes with the damage they inflict, get enough of them and they are boss killers like any other carnivore. It's in first because its a carnivore riding the coattails of popular media, we've been over this, stop it. This whole vote is for ASA, not ASE. ASE is dead in the water now, and the OFFICIAL ASA wiki is 100% up to date with ASA. Just because you want yet another yaunmanthon carnivore doesn't mean the game needs it, and just because you like it doesn't mean I have to. this is a COMMUNITY, I'm allowed to have a negative opinion, regardless of what wins and what doesn't. if kiddos (who really shouldn't be playing ASA to begin with) wat another theropod to childishly smash against all the other dinosaurs, good on them, that doesn't make their choices or ideas exempt from criticism.

I’m not going to be fighting a saddled stego though, am I? Just a basic one in the wild. 2000 damage is still going to end up doing 1000, a stego is only going to output 200, if that. the fact you said “boss killers like any other carnivore” proves they aren’t useless, perhaps more useful than herbivores as the literal aim of the game is killing bosses and carnivores do it most effectively. who said I wanted another carnivore over another herbivore? Who said the game doesn’t need more? I’ll be more than happy if a herbivore wins but a new creature is a new creature regardless of its diet. If the herbivore submissions were good, they’d be first. Also, not every creature that has won is a theropod, barely any of them are and there’s still a lot more votes to be done, a map like gen 2 could easily have a dominant herbivore and have you forgotten the bison for rag?

YES YOU COULD BE! Just because YOU don't play that way doesn't mean no one on earth does. Als, no. a Stego with a good saddle, mate boosted, Yuty encouraged, Mek protected, Cryo enhanced, Deinotherium enhanced, and imprinted, is NOT going to take 1000 damage from a well leveled rex, I'd say 100 MAX. just because it dose not 1 shot everything or solo bosses, doesn't mean its useless. I say that because you can do basically the same strategy with ANY carnivore and still win a boss fight. Don't believe me? Just go watch a video where a ARK player manages to beat ARK Maps with nothing but UTAHRAPTORS. An early game tame who's base stats ate outclassed by literally everything bigger than it. If you can do that with UTAHRAPTORS, you can do it with virtually anything, carnivore or otherwise. the fact this argument has been goin one for over two pages is a pretty string tell that you want a carnivore to win. had it not been the case you would have just took an L, and left this thread days ago. We don't need any more carnivores, because virtually all of them behave the same, they just have different abilities. Take Dienonychus and Utahraptor, for example.... Do you want the pack hunting raptor that can pounce, run fast, jump, and has a roar that increaes attack speed? Or do you want the pack hunting raptor that can pounce, run fast, jump, and has bleed? not every vote winner may have been a theropod, mot most of them WERE carnivores (I include omnivores in that group because, again... F you). And regardless of how many votes there will be, we still don't need any more carnivores.... not unless they are going to be adding much needed variety like Ceolophysis is doing just by being a Triassic dinosaur. Megaraptor doesn't do that, at all. Also, HIGH?!?!? Now the Bison is seen as Good?!?!?! Huh?!?!? Is it one or the other, pick and make up your mind. Also, WHY DO YOU THINK THE BISION IS COMEING AT ALL? Answer, The same reason we got the Carcha, popular demand. People were sick of carnivores, and wanted it to win, what we were supposed to get instead was Gigantoraptor, a dinosaur that was originally planned to be in ASE anyway, but was cut from the game. Aslo, no GOOD herbivore submissions? This boring predator was in second place to a herbivore not to long ago... and that gap isn't that big anymore (again). And there's Three other herbivores in the top 10 with it, one of which is a stick bug. People would rather see A FREAKING STICK BUG, over a carnivore... let that sink in.

If you are honestly voting for the Xenoceratops over megaraptor then why the hell are you draggong this out other than to prove my point even further? 3 minutes ago, Billjaywarr said: Genuine question, why are you so triggered? no one said the bison is going to be good, I just stated how another herbivore is coming. again, any creature is going to be good when it’s paired with every buff in the entire game, it’s not exclusive to herbivores. I genuinely don’t give a flying f what creature wins but clearly you do because you feel the need to drag all the decent submissions down. you are intentionally giving the herbivores all of this hype to make the carnivores feel useless just because the majority favour them. ITS JUST A GAME, STOP CRYYYIINGGG!!! Said yet another person who insists on carrying this argument even further. Yet you keep saying "this creature is useless" and then proceed to give a reason that's just plain wrong. If you don't care who wins, WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE??? Why are you dragging out this debate when you can just leave and never come back? You clearly do care, and just can't not have the last word. No, I'm not. I'm saying Herbivores aren't the boring tames you keep making them out to be. I'm saying We have ENOUGH carnivores. You want to know why you think I'm "triggered" when you are the once covering your a$$ for megaraptor, a carnivore we don't need? Because you keep saying things that are just plain wrong. 6 minutes ago, Nipslip69 said: There are already so many theropods in the game, give Pentacera a chance! ^ See, this right here?
