At the cost of shards we can pick specific stats and or colours from each parent, and pick a gender also if we wish, for each choice we make, the shard cost increases. And time to make the baby increases. Removing the 128:1 chance of getting that perfect baby. ASA is great, The Stream charts alone disprove anyone saying otherwise. and that's not even accounting for the numbers on console or cross-play. They also didn't need to even say what they were doing, we really don't need to know about it. Talking about it actually has the possibility of messing with the results anyway because people might do something different because they know about the test. Why would you allow it to get to this point? You dont care about all the negative press you've now put on yourselves? Like I've mentioned before. Communication is key in customer service. I am excited for Power Rangers wave 2. It's just sad that none of you can keep any original plan dates for anything in the game. And we usually don't hear about it now, which is after the miss dates. Maybe a heads up the week or 2 before the delay? If we messed up, delayed our work, missed schedules, came in late all the time, ignored customers, knowingly allowed problems to exist for very long periods, didn't communicate about our mess ups in our job. We'd be fired, and the business would most likely go under. I hope we'll see some improvements soon because this isn't it. You're creating a lot of lost situations for us. There's got to be someone higher up that'll look at this and demand change within the company. Just because you see an increase in revenue lately. Doesn't mean you'll continue to have an increase in the long term. I've seen many businesses go extinct even after having high profits. Because they had a short-term mindset instead of long term. We call that the "get rich quick scheme." Pay attention to what the players are telling you and find ways to communicate quickly with us to prevent a long-term decline in just about every aspect of your business. We're not test rats. I've been saying similar things for a while now, and I'm pessimistic about communication ever being conducted in a more professional manner, because the issue seems not to come from Community Managers (we first had Jen, then Cedric, and now Dollie, and yet so little has changed over the years), but from "someone higher up" who is making all those bad decisions in the first place. But ARK players (contrarily to popular belief) know and play other games, and they can compare. They can see that the weekly Community Crunches are mostly fillers, sprinkled with insincere information, stalling tactics, and even just plain lies every once in a while. To the point that 1/ the community mainly relies on outsiders of the studio to get their ARK news (like Raasclark, Syntac, GP, etc.), and 2/ these content creators regularly report on news NOT included in the Crunch but disseminated over discord, Xwitter, and so on... by the employees of WildCard. What a slap in the face to those who don't happen to use a third party platform, or can't keep track with the absolutely insane flow of comments posted on discord every single day. Someone said in a recent Community Crunch's comment that WildCard never even deigns to answer comments on the official website (at the very least under the Crunches), and I haven't been able to forget it. It doesn't help this feeling that WildCard can't communicate, when we keep talking into the void on survivetheark ! At least say something here ! But then again, we have learned not to trust you. Your franchise relies entirely on word of mouth and yet your reputation is worth nothing. We don't trust your bugfixing, we don't trust your release dates, we don't trust any of your promises. Like that one, obviously. ARK2, making people laugh since 2020 : Quote The previews of that stopped pretty fast ! Speaking of previews : let's not forget that one, a resolution that famously got dropped just a few weeks after posting : Quote Keep an eye out on future Community Crunches because every other week we'll be revealing new assets so you get an artistic impression of what "Remaster" means in ARK Survival Ascended Or, hey, remember that one ? Since we're coming up on the second anniversary of its publication (and the sad circumstances that triggered it) : Quote We have a plan to add something to our Valguero shrine for Those Who Have Ascended for both Tony along with other community members who have passed. Whilst the shrine is dedicated to all, we'd like to more personally honor people individually. (you best believe I'll be on the lookout for this on ASA's Valguero, since this is now the map where it'll presumably happen) All of this, of course, never to be addressed ever again. Not when it's postponed, not when it's cancelled, never. Not until we push and push for an answer. If that. We are not (well, most of us aren't at least) children you need to placate. We are paying customers, many of us for years, almost a decade in fact. You make such a big deal of monetizing this game to bits nowadays, at the very least treat us as such or lose us. Anime themed characters like May and Mewtwo as characters cosmetics. You can use dinosaurs with ranged and secondary abilities as pokemon, such as chalicotherium as a a rock type tyrantrum, a Dillo as a poison type. A Velonasor grovile would be alot of fun to jump around and bullet seed people. I think people would go nuts for something like this as paid content. Consider yourself lucky that at least for now, it's Power Rangers and there's actual dinosaur-related things already associated to that brand... there could be other IPs interested in having paid skins in ARK, that have even less to do with it. I'm trying to picture something that would not be direct competition *cough* Jurassic Park franchise *cough* AND would have something to gain from spending their dollars on ARK's poor state of affairs. Drawing a blank right now, but that might just be my lack of imagination. Honestly at this point it's pretty clear that WildCard's not picky as long as the money is green.
