mobbyxx
I don't know if this is the right spot to post this. I am trying to start an ark asa server. I've installed everything correctly. Im 99% sure. I downloaded steamcmd, installed the server files created a start.bat file the server starts with no error or something all ports are forwarded when i open the game i just can't open it. if i type in the ingame console "open xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:7777" or try it with the steam game servers tab it says "no server under this address" does anyone know what to do? acekorneya
The server tab on steam doesn’t work with ASA you need to either go in-game and check or use battlemetrics to see if it’s online Edited November 2, 2023 by acekorneya
zero064
Does the server start up? Are you seeing the server console come up, or does it not get that far? Mine wouldn't run the first time either. I'm not sure I ever figured out the reason, but I went to the wiki page (https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Dedicated_server_setup) and followed the steps and it did work after that. Assuming it's running fine, you'll have to search for the exact name (and make sure you're in the unofficial tab and check or uncheck those filtering boxes at the bottom). mobbyxx
thank you for your replys. i will test it later. The server command line is open and stays open. I've seen on many pages that you have to install the steam client
Velenon
Hi Mobbyxx, For testing purposes you can temporarily disable the firewall on the server machine, I usually find this is where I have messed up if I have got all my port forwarding settings right on the router. darkradeon
be sure you are not under cgnat, otherwise you need a vpn tunnelling.
Larkfields
You don't need the Steam client now. You used to need it, but that requirement was removed.
