Suggestion

YI QI Is an prehistoric dragon like creature with great strength and speed which makes it special and that separates it from other small creatures, but this creature is not agressive it only attacks when provoked and you'd be lucky if you get away before it charges at you

Stats

Health:675

Stamina:400

Food:3728

Oxygen:400

Meele damage:100%

Weight:180

Torpordity:1200

Attacks:

Claw slash 84 dmg

Gamma light charge 425 dmg(this attack does not just do a stun but it also gives bleed weakness slowness and poison)

Gamma roll 120 dmg(Does a barrel roll that blinds enemies)

Sonic Scream 45dmg (gives heart attack effect that has 0.3% chance of killing any creature instantly but other 99.7 is just slowness and weakness that last up to a minute speed is reduced by 28% and strength by 40%)

Despite this creature being Overpowered it still has weaknesses

Following creatures do 280% of the damage or 2.8 times more damage than normal to yi qi:Quetzal,Pteranodon,Tapejara,Argentavis,Tropeognathus,Reapers

When yi qi hits an arthropleura yi qi dies instantly because of its vulnerability to arthropleura's venom

Sadly Yi is not ridable but you can use it as a jetpack and a parachute and its stamina drains 4 per second, you can also use its attack while flying with it

Yi is a bit slower than a pteranodon

Taming

(NON-VIOLENT)

Chitin |120| 25:30

Spoiled meat |140| 35:00

Raw meat |280| 42:50

Berries and veggies |125| 1:00:00

Yi Qi looks like a small wyvern it has another ability called psychic stance which alows yi to use power of wyverns when you kill 30 wyverns with your yi qi being close to you yi qi sucks their power and the power lasts 10 in game days but you cannot use other creatures to kill wyverns and also you need to kill 30 wyverns that have the same power also only one stance is usable in every 11 days

Yi Qi instead of the charge make tornadoes when using wyvern powers

Poison Tornado

Dmg: 380+ poison dmg 75

Fire tornado

Dmg:400 +fire damage 55

Electric Tornado

Dmg:450+ winded damage 58

Also electric tornado drains enemy's stamina

The original image kinda breaks the rules because its not actually horned. That makes it a fantasy creature. The actual creature was basically a bird dino with bat wings.

And the giga is over 80 feet in length. the spino has no paddle like tail. the titanosaur is a Mish mash of sauropds. the amargasaurus definitely did not shoot its spikes like artillery. dilos were a bit bigger than in game raptors or barys, had no frills and did not spit venom. Real life jellyfish use venom and harpoon to sting not electric arcs. Electric eels didn't live in salt water. Mosasaurs lived near the surface because it breathes air. Tusotutheis was a vampire squid. And so on.

Ark is not, will not, and never has been realistic with creature design. Decorative horns don't make this entry violate the rules at all.

While that is true, the rules for the contest kinda insinuate that you need to stay true to real world. Decorative horns makes it a complete different creature...changing the formation of the skull, adding long ears and adding horns. That is fantasy.

I didn't make the rules. If they want to change it than thats cool but I don't think we are suppose to.

No it doesn't

The guideline says that the creature we suggest must be a real extinct or prehistoric creature .

It doesn't say what features the creature we suggest should have ,

No. I believe you misunderstood. The rule is that it has to be based on a real prehistoric species. If exaggeration through the addition of claws, horns, size, and other parts was not acceptable more than half of the entries would be invalid.

Again staying true to the real world has never been necessary.

The most recent contest is evident of that. Same rules that time and look what won. A giant flying insect that produces resin in its abdomen that looks to be between 15-20 feet long.

If the idea was true to reality we would have an earwig the size of a players thumb or the concept would be entirely invalid as the only fossil is a singular head in some amber.

With this all in mind I'd love to see you come up with something for the aberration vote. Keep cool, process carefully. Good day to you.

I mean I guess even if insinuated, its not written so I guess you would be correct. I am not saying I don't like the ideas, I am just pointing out that they left out a lot of context in the guidelines for the event. I was actually disappointed with the fact they were targeting real world creatures because I actually do have ideas for creatures in the realms of fantasy.
I think if I would have realized that I could have done more to make my submission stand on its own to not just get merged with the Moa.

Its all good. (You can make another entry if you want) or if you think your new idea will work for it you could start an abberation concept.

Judging from "merging with the moa" I'd assume you made an elephant bird?

I too hope they do some antasy creature votes eventually. But for right all 6 current story maps are getting a real creature. The same way all the previous votes went.

I was going to make a new entry but the ones I had in mind are already submitted. I kinda want to be first to the punch...I was late to finding out about this one. Yeah,I submitted the Aepyornis...technically another creature compared to the Moa but its whatever. I literally did research to try and give this bird real world vibes thinking that I could not add some creativity and fantasy.
If any map will allow fantasy than I am sure it would be the Aberration map...so maybe they will let us be more creative with it. I have a few creatures written already but I need to work on some drawings.
