Réunion ibis - Fire Extinguisher and Heat Manager

IllIIlllIIlIIllI

Suggestion

The Réunion ibis was an extinct species of bird native to the volcanic island of Réunion far east of Madagascar. The bird went extinct in the early 1800's.

Tired of getting flamed to death by a skill-less weapon, or at least being forced to retreat? Whether or not you are, you will be when the game launches with no Tek canteens.

The Ibis would serve as a creature who's job is to primarily extinguish fires that have been set upon the survivor that it's being carried by, though when not on a shoulder it would automatically fly towards a burning friendly survivor or tame and extinguish them. While it could extinguish a fire, it couldn't do it forever, the Ibis would only be able to carry 100 points of water, using 10 points for every fire it puts out. Players or tames that have been doused would be under a status effect called "soaked", where they would be immune to being set ablaze again for 6 seconds. Successfully dousing a fire would initiate a 18 second cooldown for the ibis' ability to extinguish fires. Refilling it's water could be done through canteens, or any water holding container. It could also drink from natural bodies of water, including water wells. Or by drinking from a water tap. You could toggle settings to have it do none of these if you wish.

You would be able to change settings for the Ibis' behavior when uncarried, telling it to only extinguish players (default), only extinguish tames, extinguish both, or neither.

The Ibis can also be manually told through the radial wheel to use water to cool you down for 300 seconds at a time, this abilities use would use 10 water, cool you down greatly, but won't extinguish fire.

To tame the Ibis you would have to passively give it water, taming would require 10 points of water per its level, ie. A level 150 would take 1500 water to tame. It would be found near or in bodies of water on scorched earth. Oh and you could drink water from it, but that'd be gross. But, if you reeeeealllyyy want to...
