is there a way to get my character back

so i added primitive+ in my server and when i went to download my character it was working fine but the second i go to spawn in my game crashed and when i reloaded my game it said i have to create a new character is there a way to get my old character back someone please help me

I take this is a private server? PC? I know changing maps on server creates a whole new saveworld file. But idk if thats the case with primitive+. Now yesterday I was breaking down Ark's stucture and specifically looking to see how data is stored. I did find they use datafiles and with this at least on PC I can see that it can be possible to pull in and edit the save files.
