Cotylorhynchus is one of dumbest creatures I have yet encountered on the island. It spends all day shoving food into its gullet where it can be preserved for up to three months, yet this also makes it too lethargic to react to any dangers.
Domesticated
There are many uses for a tamed Cotylorhynchus. It can be a great beast of burden, a durable mount and its ability to somehow always produce food from its stomach can save many resourceful survivors from the brink of starvation. I have even heard tales of survivors finding extremely rare weapons and other resources coughed up by their fat synapsids!
