The Tangvayosaur is the second largest sauropod on the Island, only smaller than the Titanosaur. The current sauropods have no use in Ark, the diplodocus can not deal any damage, the brontosaurus is took weak for it's size and speed, and the titanosaur is only temporary. The goals of this dinosaur is to encourage the use of more herbivores by providing one with power that rivals the unchallenged king of Ark, the Giga. Currently, the Ark is dominated by carnivores that demolish herbivores. For example, a wild rex can single handily take down a whole herd or trikes or a couple of brontosaurus. In hopes of changing this prejudice against herbivores, I present to you...

THE TANGVAYOSAUR

Appearance:

The tangvayosaurs that live on the Island are around twice the size of a brontosaurus. They have long whip like tails and a row short spikes that run from the head to the start of the tail. It is bulky like the bronto, but has a slender neck like the diplo. It is slightly more slend than the bronto.

Wild:

The Tangvayosaur can be found in the same places that Titanosaurs will spawn, but more frequently. They will become aggressive to any dinosaur that enters their range, including other herbivores. The only animal that these sauropods don't bully are dimorphodon, which give a calming effect to these giants. Tangvayosaurs have very long tails that will almost certainly reach you before you reach them. The Tangvasaur will slowly walk towards enemies backwards and use its range to its advantage. The tail can cause knock-back that increases the smaller the target.

Taming:

Those wishing to tame such a juggernaut will not be able to use the traditional knock out method. To tame the Tangvayosaur, you will need to relax him and then begin to slowly feed him when he grows tired. The items needed are as follows: Dimorphodon and 5-25 Rare Mushrooms. First, you will need to equip the dimorphodon so that the tangvayosaur will not attempt to squash you during the taming process. Next, you need to drop rare mushrooms near the dinosaur. The Tangvayosaur will eat the mushrooms and become drugged. A drugged Tangvayosaur will move much slower and lower his head to the ground every now and then. When the Tangvasaur lowers his head, you will have the option to feed him his preferred food (The same foods as any other herbivore).

Domesticated:

Tamed Tangvayosaurs are some of the most intimidating things to come across. A Tangvayosaur saddle will transform it into the ultimate siege dinosaur. The saddle will provide much more armor than the average saddle and will give sharp blades to the tail that make it deal double the damage and cause bleed. The saddle is also equipped with a cannon on each side of the body. The downside to this boost is that the saddle will slow down the Tangvayosaur a noticeable amount due to all the armor. The basic attack is a heavy hitting tail whip that can will hit wherever you are facing and cause knock-back. The second attack is a charged up tail attack that can deal a ton of damage and even hurt metal if held long enough. The final attack is a body slam. When using the bodyslam, the Tangvayosaur will throw it's body into the enemy and deal a TON of damage. This attack has a cool down of two minutes though and a delay upon using it, making timing it key.

Harvesting:

The Tangvayosaur can harvest the following materials: Berries, Fiber, Thatch, Wood, Meat, Hide. It is best at harvesting fiber, but it is still outclassed by most other herbivores. I would not recommend taming Tangvayosaur for the sole purpose of harvesting. This dino is much better in a PvP setting than a PvE one.

Its Place In the Food Chain:

The Tangvayosaur is the herbivorous giga. It is unchallenged by any dinosaur that is smaller than a char or giga. It can be easily outrun though, making it better at defending or raiding than rushing down players. It's strengths are its strong defense, health, damage, and mounted cannons. The cons are it's large hit-box and very slow movement.
