Liaoningosaurus Paradoxus is a small ankylosaurian (a little bit bigger than a lystro in game) from the early cretaceous period of China. It's a very unusual ankylosaurian cause it was probably aquatic and piscivorous. The main idea for its gameplay is to have an early tame that can still be usefull in late game. (Also sorry for all the mistakes, English isn't my first language and it's 04:00 am here)

Common name : Liaoningosaurus
Species :Liaoningosaurus Paradoxus
Diet : Piscivorous
Temperament : Passive
Wild
In the wild Liaoningosaurus can be found near rivers or lakes, lurking in the water for fishes or playing on the shore. They are not hostile but when provocked, they will land a powerful bite able to break bones (and slow their target) then will escape in the closest river. Even if they are slow on land, they are surprisingly fast in water. Another particularity of thsi strange critters is its beak : it's incredibly strong and don't stop growing, so they need to sharpen it on stones they found.
Domesticated
Once domesticated, Liaoningosaurus will be a loyal and very affective pet. It can be feed with berries but will still prefer fish. Its small stature allow it to be carry and use in different way, like for swimming faster or farm mineral. Somes survivor even teached to their Liaoningosaurus to harvest specific kind of resources. And when they are not outside, playing with their owner, they will spend time chewing stones and reducing it to powder. They are also know for chewing Gacha's crystal.
Taming
For tame a Liaoningosaurus, you will need to follow these steps
1 - Find a Liaoningosaururs and give it a "gift" to chew : the better the gift, the more fast and efficient the taming will be. There are the resources you can use as a gift : stone > flint > metal > cristal > pearl > obsidian > black pearl > Gacha Cristal.
2 - Then, the Liaoning will follow you and you will be able to start the taming process ( you can't be followed by multiple Liaonings and tame more than one at the same time)
3 - You will need to start fishing with the Liaoning watching at you with interest. Every time you will catch a fish, the Liaoning will eat it and increase is taming bar. Repeat until the taming is finished. WATCH OUT Taming effectiveness and taming speed is not impacted by the kind of fish you catch (to much rng) but by the item you gave to the Liaoning for start the taming.
Abilities
Liaoningosaurus can be carry by the player (like a dodo).
Once carry :
- If you go in water, it will start to swim with you ,like a diplocaulus but faster and without giving you a bonus in oxygen. Liaoningosaurs is immune to stun (Chnidaria, eel, baryonyx, ect...) and so is the one carrying it.
- Left click is a bite attack that will gather resources (flint, stone, metal, element, oil, sulfur, salt, cristal, obsidian). Use on a foe, it will inflict decent damage and slow it for a short time.
- Rigt click is a cuddle animation. It's useless but it's cute.
Other abilities :
-A bite that will break bones and seriously slow its foes. It do not deal a lot of damage. It's more a defensive move allowing you to flee, but hey! if you want to sacrifice your pet to slow the ennemy rex and shoot it to dead it's your choice
-Piranhas are afraid of it
- Liaoning take less damages from attack due to its strong hide
- By default, Liaoning is very good for harvest flint > element > metal/cristal/obsidian , but similar to moschops and theri, you can choose to specialize it to gather more effectively other kind of resources. You can choose between : Element, Flint, Metal, Cristal, Obsidian, Oil, Salt, Ambergris, Gem, Silicate, Sand
-If you let's your Liaoning near to a Gacha, it will pick up Gacha's crystals and crack it
-You can enable/disable the "Chewing mode" on your Liaoningosaurus. When enabled, it will passively convert resources from your Liaoning inventory into other resources over time. Flint => Sparkpowder, Stone => Flint, Charcoal and Sparpowder=> Gun Powder, Element => Element Dust, Chitine/Keratine => Cementing paste. It take more time that doing it in a chemistry bench but the ratio are way better ( 2x more than a chemistry bench).
