Dinornis (aka the Giant Moa) is an extinct species of giant flightless (and also wingless) birds that lived during the Late Pleistocene, and these giant bird's I think would be very cool to see within this game
The idea's I see with Dinornis is that it is going to be quick on it's feet (but if using one in combat it can fight back with jab's from it's beak and throwing powerful kicks), but it's feet could be used to break rocks and probably be good at harvesting flint, traditionally in the wild they would be skittish and flee if attacked, however I will add that with their palates, they could be good at finding Rare Mushrooms within plants.
These would be the base stat's i'd likely give to this bird:
