Suggestion

Ceratosaurus

Diet: meat , eggs

Temperment: neutral

A peaceful , lazy carnivore , comparable in size to a carnotaurus(irl its smaller than carno).Next to the wild ceratosaurus would walk its cubs , which can be tamed(adult can't be tamed). To do this we must feed the young dinosaurs with kibble, during this we must also watch out for the adult dinosaur that wants to chase us away.Ceratosaurus attack only small creatures , like Dodo , compy, but if we are getting close to young Ceratosaurs, their parents wants to kill us. Ceratosaurs spawns in forests, mountains and desert.his saddle is able to sit two people, and it reduces the weight of items in his inventory, which makes him one of the coolest mounts to travel. Male ceratosaurus have bigger Horn than female , and spikes on his back.

Skills:

1- bite, deals little more damage to big creatures

2- stomping, scaring away small creatures, and slowing down enemies

3- Stab with a horn , brings out a lot more resources (like polymer, chitin etc)/ inflicts bleeding.

4-This dino can't be stunned by other creatures, and traps(but can be picked up by all wyverns, quetzal and tuso.

5-saddle reduces weight of items in its inventory

The Ceratosaurus is easily the best choice theropod-wise. And I also gave Albertosaurus a shot.

But I really don't understand why people keep wanting dinosaurs with ridiculously high stats and later complain that the game is "broken".

The Carcharodontosaurus was nice and all, but we really don't need another demi god in the game.

A medium sized theropod with balanced stats would be such a breath of fresh air.

The ceratosaurus, a small-medium size carnivore, is a dinosaur which will allow us to farm polymer, keratin and skin in an excellent way, all thanks to its delicate and sharp horn.

But those are not all of its abilities, keeping in mind its great agility and the horn mentioned above, it is a great attack dino because thanks to its incredible speed, allowing it to dodge attacks and charge brutally, it makes it a perfect dino for sieges. That being said, what could be better? Well, a group of them! When they are in a pack, one of them will receive the status of Alpha, thus being able to have a war roar that increases movement speed, faster stamina regeneration and less stamina drain.

In size they would be between a megalosaur and an allosaurus, their domestication would be passive, so we will attract one of them with honey (since in the wild they are not aggressive against the player, but they will attack mounts or wild dinos) until a safe place where once alone, we will have to earn his trust with a mini-game of catch, where for each time we catch him he will give us a percentage of dressage.

Suggestions and new or better skills, ways of taming, or anything are welcome.😄

A creature in between the size of a carno and allo with a bleed attack and unlimited Stam like an iguanadon though to balance this the health is not great. But then gets a pack boost and spawn in packs. To tame you must do the good old knock out and prime meat down the piehole. The cerato saddle being used as a smithy.

In nature

faster than the carno, slightly smaller and less fat than its cousin the allosaurus, the ceratosaurus is a theropod and they have small front legs which allow it to catch small prey more easily and it also has horns on its head which allows it to rush on predators or larger prey, it can be found in meadows and in hot cavesdows and in hot caves.

Information

the more the ceratosaurus runs the more damage it can do, but the more interesting and that the ceratosaurus tries to reproduce, it has been able to have physical mutations such as several horns to do damage and adds bleeding or more powerful legs for a more powerful charge or even thorny scales qe which allows him to tank more damage but these mutations cannot be mixed otherwise it would give a ceratosaur with a physical anomaly.

Domestic

the ceratosaurus likes to darken on dinosaurs for the tamed you have to give him something fun like dinosaurs the more colorful they are the more fun he will have or walking around with a shield will do the trick

(if i have time i will put drawings of my ceratosaurus ark version)

 ceratosaurus (Horned Lizard)

ceratosaurus a dinosaur from the upper jurassic 153 to 148 years ago with a leght of 6 meters, a height of meters and weight of 520 kg of carnivorous diet that inhabited semi-arid areas, plains and forest found in the united states, portugal. uruguay, switzerland and tanzana discovered by paleontologist othniel charles smash having 3 species of himself to date.

1673763826347.jpg.bcca5dbe7c03d72f4585e54a5c50d851.jpg

the main characteristic of ceratosaurus was its horn that it used to display itself to female, it was much smaller than is distant relatives, allosaurus and saurophaganax, although its appearance is reminiscent of its rival, the allosaurus, its most advanced rival. Another charasterictic of ceratosaurus is that had aeveral rows of small bony plates that formed a kind of ridge. the arms small and weak, were not used to walk, but to hold the prey before killing it. the hands, unlikr many theropods, had atrophied. the hip verteebrae had been joined to better support thr stress caused by the anmal's buttovk and itd weight. the ceratosaurus hip was the typical theropod hip, with pubis pointing forward, but it had the particularity that the bones that formed it were joined at te points of contact, the hind legs were robust and endowed with strong bones and powerful muscles that supporte the weight of the body. the feet ended in three wide toes that distributed the animal's weight, but actually had five toes, but one was no visible and the other was similar to a bird's spur. its long tail balanced its body, and the shape of the vertebrae indicates that powerful muscles were inserted there and perphaps it was used to hit other animals. ceratosaurus ' arms were relatively short (as in otherdinosaurs such as tyrannosaurus rex, carnotaurus, and tarbosaurus). ceratosarus had four fingers on theropods. the most distinctive feature was a prominent horn located in the midline of the skull behind the bony nostrils, which formed from fused protrusions of the left and right nasal bones, the horn measuring 13 cm. its size was smaller than that of many of its contemporaries such allosaurus or saurophaganax, but the skull was quite large in proporton to the rest of its body, measuring 60 cm, researchers have found few remains of this animal, and all of them separated, suggesting that it was a solitary animal. the jaws were deep to support the proportionately large teeth. its large, backward-curved teeth were its main weapon, measuaring up to 9.3 cm. the nasal horn and the two crests of the skull were not used for hunting, since they were really weak, so perhaps they served as an element of visual communicatio, to recognize each other.

really, his skull was weak, not fit for a struggle

the abilities that ceratosaurus can have are

1 when he runs he gets more speed so much capable of rivaling and far surpassing a gallimimus and when gets all that he can impale her and do a X6 in all his damage spending all his stamina at once

2 a bite with its normal damage that bleeds like that of the carnotaurus or giganotosaurus

3 a ponytail from left to right to make the dinos

4 is capable of picking up clueless dinos or survivors that are smaller than its size

5 will inflic a roar that scares or weakens certain creatures

his mount could be at level 50 or 47 with semi passive semi agressive tame causng him collide with trees and structures until he is stunned for 10 seconds and becomes agressive again

Ceratosaurus:

Carato.webp.1b25ce5093223c75a14c2dbe4b6a56fb.webp

Description:

Ceratosaurus followed the typical body plan of large theropod dinosaurs.3 It was bipedal and moved on powerful hind legs, while its arms were reduced in size. Ceratosaurus is characterized by having a horn-like structure in its skull on the dorsal part of the head, placed behind the nostrils.4 Ceratosaurus had the sacral bone fused with the synsacral bone, while the pelvic bones were held together.3 Unique among most theropods, Ceratosaurus possessed dermal armor, with small osteoderms located in the middle of its back.5 Its tail was about half its total body length, and slender. and flexible, with high vertebral spines, which appeared in the middle of its back.6 In the premaxillarc, Ceratosaurus had three teeth with small mesial serrations. The Ceratosaurus pubis had a large, rounded notch below the obturator foramen.

Dome:

To tame him you have to feed him raw lamb meat. It does not accept other types of meat. The method would be to put him to sleep.

Size and weight:

The holotype specimen of Ceratosaurus corresponds to an individual about 5.3 meters long and 2 meters high. Can weigh approximately between 418.4 and 670 kilograms.

Skills:

it has skin armor, which protects it against bleeding. And decreases the damage taken by 25%.
It can act as an incubator, if you put it in your inventory.
When killing an ovis he receives 10% more speed, life and damage.

Can be ridden. It can take up to 2 people

Mount:

It costs eighty-five metal, two hundred and twenty leather, one hundred and eighty wood, fifty pearls, ten black pearls and four hundred and fifty straw.

Name: Ceratosaurus

How to tame

Considering these predators are highly aggressive, the only way to tame one is to take an egg from one of their nests but be careful as even the mighty T-Rex runs away in fear from a pack.

Attack moves

They can ram into their prey impaling them with their sharp horns causing bleeding

There bite is comparable in strength to an allosaurus

They could use their horns to slash but it does very little damage

Trophies

You can take their horns as trophies

Weakness and strength

Considering they fight for mates, they can take ram and biting attacks easily (Examples, carnotaurus, and triceratops) but slashing attacks such as spinos and the therizinosaurus it cannot take as easy

Buff/boost

When causing bleeding in their prey they will get a 1.5 buff to all biting attacks

I would add a picture but I can’t 😅 it would have two horns that could have colors that would be different from each individual

Ceratosaurus

Diet:meat

Temperment: Aggressive

Wild

The Ceratosaurus is one of the most bizar creatures ive ever seen on the ark. The ceratosaurus is strikingly stealthy for a carnivore larger than a carno . It is a teriffying stealth hunter being able to track you for miles without you ever noticing. The ceratosaurus has a devestating bite ripping prey to shreds and riping chunks out of larger creatures. Their horns can be used to throw small creatures in the air and gore larger creatures.

Domesticated

When a ceratosaurus is tamed it is one of the most valuable tames you can have being a stealthy tracker. Ive seen many saddles but two are the most used the standard saddle that can hold two people and an armored saddle that covers the cerato in heavy armor. The cerato is bigger than a carno but you can make a close bond with your conpanion that loves to be pet.

I think the Ceratosaurus would spawn in forests as a scary creature that you could run into while running around in forests. They would be in a similer place in the mete that the carno is.

Low to mid tier tames with basic abilities are great additions to the game too (such as maewing, stego, deinonychus, thyla, dire wolf, ravager, etc). It doesn't have to have insane abilities to be good and more importantly: useful. With that being said I realize a new creature will need a little something to be popular with the community, so here is my suggestion with what I think are good but not over the top traits that this suggestion could have.

I think a Ceratosaurus with the following traits would a great addition to the game:

-It would of course have a regular bite attack

-Like Iguanadon, it would be able to run without draining stamina.

-Have a ram stun attack like Triceratops. The headbutt wouldn't need to have such a long wind up like the Triceratops and would also deal torpor, a decent amount. This ability should have a short cool down and would drain stamina.

-If a tamed Cerato lands the charge attack, for 30 seconds, deal increased damage. This would not stack, and could not reset the timer even if you were to land another during that time. 30 seconds at a time, essentially.

-Allow weapons to be used on the back.

The main importance of this creature is that it would fill the niche roll that the Carno is meant to fill, but does not due to lack of utility. So make the saddle unlockable around the same level as the Carno. If the Cerato were to have a small vertical hop and a decent base weight stat, as well as be a relatively quick swimmer, there wouldn't be another dinosaur like it as far as transport and utility goes. I believe even late-game players would still enjoy and use a creature like this (though they may not need it anymore) due to it's superiority as a quick and diverse land mount. One comparison is the Thyla. Once you're late game, you don't really need to use the Thyla anymore, but because it is fun, quick, and easy to get around on, many late-game players still use the Thyla for basic transport for things like choring or seeking out new tames.

As far as spawning goes, I think of the Therizino. Reason being, IRL due to Cerato not being the apex predator of the late N. American Jurassic and it being smaller than the Allosaurus and Torvosaurus, it is thought perhaps they didn't directly compete with the larger carnivores in the open plains hunting large prey often, but instead stuck to the foliage to avoid the larger carnivores and hunt smaller prey. When I think about Therizinos spawning (as far as official maps go), I think about the jungles on The Island or the jungle above Viking Bay on Rag. This densely packed foliage leads to the infamous surprise attack from the tickle chicken. I believe the Cerato would suit a similar spawn mechanic perfectly while also suiting biomes such as the redwoods and swamp, mirroring therizino spawns further. Solo spawn.

With taming, due to its own ability to deal torpor, it requires a proportionally large amount of tranq arrows or darts to knock out for its size. No head shots.

Design wise, I believe the design in this popular dossier nails the look of the Ark dino design and would go in the game seamlessly. So creds to that guy. However, disregard this dossier's description.

I know nothing about this suggestion is insane, but that's the point, it's not meant to be over the top. I know a lot of people who aren't into this game because of the dinos don't want another theropod. However, after the Yuty was added, the Cerato was the most requested dino for a long time. So I think it has a shot and deserves it. I believe this creature would prove to be useful, unlike the carno, and would be an early to mid-game tame comparable to thylas and baryonyx, which everyone loves.

Thank you.
