Name: Camarasaurus

Species: Camarasaurus supremus

TIme: Jurassic

Diet: Herbivore

Temperament: Territorial

Wild:

Around the same size as an adult Rex, Camarasaurus lives in large Groups traversing through the Arks vast Redwoods. Their Herd usually consist of one dominant Male and a couple of Females. When attackted the Female will almost always try to flee, while the Male meet the Threat head on, protecting its Mates. When the Females are alertet by the Males combat belows they will turn back and try to help against their Aggressor in unison. Males are easily recognised by their large pronounced Headcrest and bulky Body.

Taming:

Protected by the dominant Male, the Herd must first be seperated before attempting to tame. Otherwise the belowing Roars of the Male will rally up the remaining Herd and reset any taming attempt immediately. While seperated the Females will once again become dossile and let Survivors come close to feed them their favourite Food Rare Flowers. The Males on the otherhand will be to territorial to let anything come close to them, so they first need to be trapped by a Chainbola and only while a tamed Female Camara is near will let it self be feed as it slowly trust the Survivor.

Domesticated:

While these Sauropod are mostly used for Tribe on Tribe Warfare as the males can rally up any teammember with it Rage inducing Roars, that significantly speed up their attack speed for a couple of seconds. Some Survivors even use their buff as a support for defeating the Guardian of the various Arks. It can also be fittet with a heavily Armoured War Saddle that bosts two very large Storage Containers  or a couple of lowered Loadout Mannequin on each side of its body for easy ground access. They can be filled with numerous amounts of Material or an asortment of Equipment while the Camarasaurus doesn't carry any of the needed carryweight. Making a saddled Camara the go to tame for resource gathering or setting up an outpost quick and easy.

Potential Moveset:

Camara could be able to turn in place

Primary Attack (Left Click): Directional Singular Stomp

Secondary Attack (Right Click): Short Tail Whip that covers area behind itself

Heavy Attack (C): Fury of frontal Stomps that get progressively stronger and faster

Special Attack (X): While sprinting Camara can perform a heavy bash attack, where it quickly forces its whole body to one side to push away enemys. Any creature next to the side its attacking towards will be knocked over or stuned. Depending on the size of the opponent.

Roar (Strg): Gives all nearby Allies the Rage Buff

Rage Buff: Provides a short burst of double Attack speed and Immunity to all Stuns. While giving any Creature glowing red Eyes.

Saddle Ideas:

Male Camara Saddle:

- Heavy Metal Armour Plating

- Loadout Mannequin on the lower side of its Saddle, for easy fast Player Equipment in PvP situations

Camarasaurus is one of the biggest sauropods on the ark towering over even rexes. The camerasaurus lives in forests feeding on trees. Most predaters opt not to attack camerasaurus but the ones who do are in for a rude awakening. The camera has long front legs that they can use to stomp and kick any attackers. They move in herds of 9-12 migrating from forest to forest. They love rare flowers and can be used to tame them. When tamed you can don them with a armored war saddle or a saddle with a morter and pestle and smithy.

I think that the camerasaurus would be a unique addition to the game.http://images.dinosaurpictures.org/014__camarasaurus_supremus_by_green_mamba-d4ps7ks_6622.jpgCamarasaurus lentus by commander-salamander on DeviantArt | Ancient animals, Dinosaur art, Prehistoric creaturesPrehistoric Kingdom: Camarasaurus sp., Cindy Raggo on ArtStation at https://www.artstation.com/artwork/lVqGek | Prehistoric, Artist inspiration, Artwork

Species: Camarasaurus Cantus

Time: Late Jurassic

Diet: Herbivore

Temparment: Docile

Wild: Camarasaurus Lentus was a large herbivore that lived within the late Jurassic. While the island variant is similar in some ways to its historic counterpart, I have taken to dubbing this species Camarasaurus Cantus for one particularly joyous reason, the species proclivity to singing. Camarasaur appear to make many vocalizations, most of which has reminded many survivors of modern-day whales. I speculate these noises, similar to whales and elephants, are a form of communication between individuals or even entire herds from long distances.

While living on the island, Camarasaurus has developed a particular form of defense against the numerous predators. When under any form of duress from predation, Camarasaurus begin to emit unique vocalizations that appears to cause predators or other aggressors to become docile in their presence. While performing these songs, most small to medium theropods appear to ignore Camarasaurus outright, while other more aggressive individuals seem to loose some inclination to pursue them as prey. I speculate these vocals may be an alert of some kind, informing others of foes in the area, ruining any successful means of a hunt. Indeed, many other herbivores in the area appear to become hyper aware and aggressive towards predators while Camarasaur is making these noises and will attack them with more vigor.

Domesticated: Docile by nature, Camarasaur appear to not appreciate the more common methods of taming and will either flee or attack anyone attempting to ‘knock out’ any of their kind. Instead, some survivors have taken the sauropods penchant for vocalization and have discovered singing to Camarasaurus appears to draw their curiosity. Even more weird, those more musically in tuned that can harmonize with Camarasaurus seems to gain the creatures admiration with some even going so far as to follow survivors back to their campsites. With the animals soothing noises, as well as Camarasaurus’ bone structure giving it the ability to carry massive amounts of weight for long periods of time, makes a Camarasaurus the ideal mount for those partaking long expeditions across the island.

Overview: I had the idea of the Camarasaurus being more of a transport mount. One specialized for traversing the Arks without being harassed to much by the many carnivores in Ark. As such I wanted it to have the ability to almost neutralize predator aggro, either mounted or not while it is doing its main attribute to a survivors group, Singing!!! Similar to the Pachyrhino, while it is performing its songs you almost become invisible to wild carnivores unless they are provoked. I would imagine its song range and duration could be tied to its oxygen stat, so as to not be completely over abused. The Camarasaurus would be good for early and mid game survivors, especially during those times when you have no walls or defense to speak of and need to be weary of getting jumped by Raptors, Carnos, and Sabers, the Camarasaurus ability to sing would neutralize them all as long as it is near you and active, allowing you to harvest with more safety. But be warned, its song only affects anything up to the size of a Yuty. Rexes and Gigas will be immune to the songs influence as well as any creature already aggroed to you will remain aggroed even if the song is activated after. Speaking of, as the dossier would imply its song has the added effect of boosting herbivores both wild and tamed, while de-buffing wild and enemy carnivores. This could also potentially be separate from the initial 'camo' song and could be its own thing entirely.

Pertaining to its ability to carry I would imagine it can carry a lot of materials, particularly structures, having a massive weight reduction on those items. Its meant to be a mount you use if you want to relocate to different areas, while trying to keep as much of your supplies as possible. Its stamina would also be pretty good as well being able to run for quite a bit, with its speed being just under a diplodocus. Its not really meant to be an offensive creature, merely support and traversal.

For its taming, I like the idea of being able to walk up to it and, waiting for it to notice you to prompt it, performing a mini game similar to the Tek Stryder but with the fun of seeing and hearing your character sing and try to harmonize with the Camarasaurus. Not harmonizing (failing the mini game) would cause the Camarasaurus to simply walk away disinterested with you losing taming effectiveness in the process. I think it would be fun to have a creature that sings and vocalizes to the player as I don't think we have many interactions with dinosaurs in the game with such character.
