Pyroraptor Arderenyx- The Ark's Arsonist

tyrunt77

Suggestion

Habitat: Lava/Volcanic biomes

Diet: Carnivore

Temperament: Aggressive

Taming: Shoot into its mouth while it uses it fire breath attack using advance sniper bullets, like ARK addition’s Cryolophosaurus

Domesticated: A nimble but ferocious raptor, this creature is a needed addition for survivors looking to conquer the treacherous volcanic biomes, it possesses a fire breath attack which is somewhere between a fire wyvern breath attack and a flame thrower. It powers these breath attacks by drinking lava or having oil in its inventory (as a cheaper alternative), which the pyroraptor converts into ‘Pyro Fuel’ which powers its fire attacks. It can also set small to medium enemies ablaze for 4 seconds by landing 10 quick, consecutive melee attacks on a single target. When it has killed a sufficient number of creatures (The creature’s size and level matters, in understandable terms let's say this amount is equivalent to 20 level 100 stegos) and its pyro fuel bar is full, it will be given the ‘Ethereal Flame Demon’ effect, similar to Mortal Kombat's scorpion, its charred black skull and bones will be slightly visible, with its skin and flesh being replaced by semitransparent molten fire, as well as the physical changes, the pyroraptor’s melee and movement speed stat would be boosted as well it gaining the ability to leave a trail of fire behind it when sprinting. Its fire breath attack would be buffed, having more damage and range as well as it gaining the ability to phase into the ground and travel underneath, once again similar to Mortal Kombat scorpion’s MK11 ‘chain slice’ fatality where he phases (or burrows) into the floor leaving a glowing fire aura on the surface, to travel beneath the opponent to slice them in half, like scorpion the pyroraptor will leave a fiery aura on the floor surface on which it phases. The ethereal flame demon effect will last for 5 minutes before it changes back to its regular self.

The pyroraptor is stronger than Raptors and deinonychus but hard to tame you have to feed it fish behind it's back like a shadowmane but the fish have to be 1.0x and up or the taming will be very slow there abilities are a pack call insulation when your near one to protect when your cold or hot a small fire spit that does about 35 damage but adds a burn to the player or creature it spat on but they get undetected by Raptors and deinonychus so they are great for getting past big packs the saddle would be at level 30 the main attack will do 60 - 70 damage and will have a chance to add a bleed on its second attack is a pounce thats like the Raptors one the pyroraptor will be formidable foe in PvP and a great dino in single player and PvE too

Like normal raptors, these pyro raptors are aggressive meat eaters. Tamed with the same darts or fist. But unlike our beloved usual raptors. Pyro raptors have a lot more feathers, and take no fall damage and are amazing swimmers. They are not a pack raptor. Much prefer to ran the woods alone, and can be rare to find. As so they are great for finding and harvesting rare loot.

common name: pyroraptor

period: cretaceus

diet: carnivore

temperament: aggresive

I feel lucky to have found Pyroraptor Olympius and to have lived to tell about it, this deadly predator moves in groups of 3 members, it is bigger than a normal raptor but not as big as a Carnotarus, although its normal attacks are not to be feared. Abilities make it fearsome and formidable, Pyroraptor olympius likes to burn its prey to the point where the meat is already cooked. Pyroraptor Olympius is agile and fearsome on land but his weakness is water or cold places that prevent him from using his abilities, he does not have a good carrying capacity or a large amount of life, Pyroraptor olympius inhabits hot areas such as volcanoes, deserts, etc.

wild:
This deadly predator is active at night and rests during the day but when it begins to get dark it will be quite noticeable in the environment since in its active state the feathers of its tail will light up fire red, its way of hunting is creating rings of fire. around its prey, cornering it and leaving it under the effect of "in the eye of the hunter", which will slow down its speed of movement and increase the damage inflicted on that creature if its prey refuses to die and tries to escape, it will burn after passing the ring of fire and Pyroraptor will be able to track it as it flees,  if its prey is very fast, Pyroraptor will be able to perform a charge that will burn everything in its path and greatly increase its speed, if Pyroraptor Olympius is losing a fight, it will make a kamikaze charge in which it will burn completely to inflict lethal damage on its opponent, But it will cost them a great deal of health or death.

domesticated:

to tame this creature you must give it fire and when it is ready the feathers on its back will be lit in a blue fire indicating that it is friendly to you and is ready for a hunt with fire once you finish hunting with Pyroraptor olympius this will be your ally forever, once domesticated it will retain its abilities of:

-ring of fire

-fire charge

-and kamikaze charge (to be unlocked when your health is low)

His skills make him very useful when attacking bases of other players with his ring of fire will provide support to damage enemy creatures, with his fire load he is able to damage cables, turrets and other electronics causing them short circuit and disable them for a while (to be mounted it needs a special insulating saddle)

Original Art done by Chris @ChrisLikesDinos on Facebook

The Pyroraptor will be the ultimate tame assist. Imagine you are going through The Island, looking to farm basic resources and you see that perfect level 150 Rex, Spino, Allo, or even Otter. You look to your inventory to only see that you left all your taming equipment at home and you have to run across the map to get it. By the time you get back you either cant find the creature or it has died a gruesome death by the claws of an annoying terror bird. If only you could keep tabs on such a prize while you ran to get your supplies.

Introduce the Pyroraptor.

The Pyroraptor is a small therapod dinosaur that existed during the Late Cretaceous period. Its been recently featured in the latest Jurassic World film and more importantly I believe it will not only add a fantastic looking tame, but will also add a vital creature for your survival. The Pyroraptor will act as your "spy" and will track almost any selected target, giving you vital information such as stamina, health, torpidity, and melee. The Pyroraptor is also probably the most versatile tame, able to efficiently swim, glide, run, and overall traverse any terrain. Its small stature and nack for hiding makes it virtually undetectable by other dinosaurs, meaning it will remain safe and untouched by wild hostile creatures as it does its work keeping tabs on your target. However it isn't invulnerable; Your Pyroraptor can be detected by player owned tames that have any detection ability, as well as not being entirely invisible to the player.

Taming this Dilophosaurus sized beastie will require a few tricks and some good old fashioned Ghillie Armor. Wild, the Pyroraptor will function as a highly predatory Microraptor. Instead of knocking you off your tame the Pyroraptor will stick to you replacing/maybe killing your shoulder pet and consistently hit you till death. To remove the Pyrorapter you must burn it off with a campfire or any other means of lighting yourself a blaze. The Pyroraptor will flee if it is knocked off your person with fire. To tame it, you will need to feed it prey. Ideally any baby dino thrown from a cryopod or a shoulder pet. You must throw the prey of choice directly in front of the Pyroraptor and let it kill/eat the tame.  Once the taming meter is full you have tamed your Pyroraptor.

Once tamed, the Pyroraptor can leap on your back like a shoulder pet and can be used whenever needed.

-Tracking-

The Pyroraptor will already be in "Tracking" mode once tamed. Just toss the Pyroraptor at the creature you want to tame and It will track it. The Pyroraptor can only track land tames or Players, as it can not fly or dive under water for long. Once the target is set to track then the Pyroraptor will patiently follow it until it is otherwise instructed not to. It will also provide the player with the targets stats including, its name, level, stamina, health, torpidity, melee, oxygen, and if it is close to any dangers. Like before it will be completely undetectable by wild dinos while its tracking. Its tracking behavior will be the same for all targets, being that the players are more keen than the average Rex; The Pyroraptor will bury itself in the dirt/sand, climb trees, or hide in the brush to keep itself hidden from the players view. If the target dies or ventures too far out of the Pyroraptors reach (I.e. Dives too far in the ocean or flies up to high) The Pyroraptor will give up and return to its owner.

-Pack Function-

If a tribe or a single player has multiple Pyroraptors in one tame group, then the player/tribe leader will get a Pack Alpha buff which makes the Pyroraptors act as members of a raptor pack. If the player points to attack, or attacks another creature/player with this buff enabled, then the Pyroraptors will swarm the target most likely killing it. If a player is on a mount then the pack will target both player and mount... as well as that players shoulder pet.

-Map Viability-

The Pyroraptor is a tame that can adapt to most any enviorment the map has to offer. Its home The Island, provides a perfectly balanced ecosystem for the Pyroraptor to exist. The Redwood trees provide a place for it to climb and glide from tree to tree or target. The shallow rivers give the Pyroraptor exceptional range across the map. Its size makes hiding in the brush or in dark caves a breeze, and even more undetectable to survivors.

On Scorched Earth The Pyroraptor can hide in the sand, compensating for the lack of trees or brush.

Aberrant colors of the Pyroraptor can change with the various zones making them harder to spot. (They are not radiation resistant)

All other maps share similar qualities to the previously mentioned habitats this tame would excel in.

-Overview-

The Pyroraptor is a versatile tame that can add another mechanic to the game and can be a fantastic contender for the most anticipated Ark 2. Its abilities draw from several other great tames sharing some of their strengths as well as their weaknesses. Another benefit of having a larger cool looking shoulder pet means you can pair this dino with a rideable tame that is also useful in taming other dinosaurs. As for its offensive abilities, a pack of smaller, faster, and even more vicious all terrain dinos will make raids, hunting, or the typical grief a more involved and fulfilling experience.

If anyone has any suggestions I'll try and make sure they are mentioned in this post. I'm really excited about this community event and I hope the Pyroraptor can be a part of Ark's future!

nombre común: piroraptor

periodo: cretácico

dieta: carnivoro

temperamento: agresivo

Species: Pyroraptor Arderenyx
Time: late Cretaceous
Diet: Carnivore and fire eater (which is what the Phoenix is classified as)
Temperament: Territorial
Common Name: Pyroraptor
Can ride? Yes, saddle that protects from the fire on a tamed version

Wild: Pyroraptor Arderenyx is a Fiery theropod. it seeks out sulfur rocks to cover its claws in it, then strikes its claws together to set hits prey on fire. Ive seen a pack of pyroraptors burn entire herds of Morellatops alive, despite it being a lone hunter.

Tamed: I’ve seen survivors pacify Pyroraptors by slowly approaching them and hand feeding them sulfur, while others use flamethrowers to ease its temper as it loves fire. Pyroraptor can be used for crowd control, if given access to harvested sulfur dust, it can use it to set its claws on fire and burn away anything that stands in its path. -Helena Walker

Abilities: Left click is a moderately fast bite
Right Click will slash its claws dealing half the damage as its bite, but when covered in sulfur applies a fire effect similar to Fire wyverns breath, control will trigger a pack roar when near other allied pyros that will increase damage, fire duration, and damage resistance, space will trigger a jump similar to deinonychus but will not climb or protect you from fall damage, so do not jump off cliffs.

Taming method: passive feeding it sulfur, which will set its claws on fire triggering it to attack wild creatures around it, the effect lasts for 20 seconds and you have to fight with it to gain its trust. You can also use a flamethrower to tame it which will tame it faster but with less effectiveness, speed varies with flamethrower quality.

This suggestion is by Dilophoraptor, all credit for the idea goes to them

Nombre común: Piroraptor

Especie: Pyroraptor Olympius

Tiempo: Cretácico

Dieta: Carnívora

Temperamento: Agresivo

1686077154_DossierPyroraptor.thumb.jpg.f22b5f7aff472c15111f1fdeac1a0a17.jpg
