Suggestion

image.jpeg.5bfcb27f7b107ac02631402b1f7f308b.jpeg It is said to be a mix between a anteater and a chameleon. I propose that this little guy could be a shoulder mount that could render you invisible to wild Dino’s. Once you attack a wild dino you are no longer invisible to said dino, but the drepanosaurus will have a scream that can be activated to disorient surrounding Dino’s so you can run away.

Drepanosaurus

Drepanosaurus (/drəˌpænəˈsɔːrəs/; "sickle lizard") is a genus of arboreal (tree-dwelling) reptile that lived during the Triassic Period. It is a member of the Drepanosauridae, a group of diapsid reptiles known for their prehensile tails. Drepanosaurus was probably an insectivore, and lived in a coastal environment in what is now modern day Italy, as well as in a streamside environment in the midwestern United States.

Description:

Type: Carnivorous shoulder pet

Found primarily in the bog biome of Genesis part one and in the swamp boime of other maps. Can eat meat. Has a chameleon-like tongue which shoots out to kill/eat small insects (Insect swarms, Titanomyrma and Meganeura).

Abilities (2):

- Weight boost - Auto-activated ability. Activated when player is encumbered, granting an extra 150 points of carry weight. Ability drains stamina when active. Stamina drains at a rate proportional to the amount of the boost used. If only 10% of the extra 150 carry weight is used, it drains less stamina than if 100% of the extra carry weight is used. Stamina only drains when the player is in motion but the Drepanosaurus’ stamina does not regenerate until the boost is no longer in use.

- Cloaking - Activated by pressing “C”. Ability drains stamina. Stamina drains faster when moving than when standing still. Similar to Rock drake cloaking but on a smaller scale. Will only cloak the player and the Drepanosaurus but not any mount that the player may be riding. Cloaking can be detected by the Parasaur’s enemy detection ability.

- Notes - Both abilities can be used simultaneously but the stamina drain is greater than when either ability is used on its own.

Taming:

Passive tame. To start the tame you need to feed the Drepanosaurus a piece of chitin. Once fed, the Drepanosaurus will climb onto the player’s shoulder. Together, the player and the Drepanosaurus must defeat a number of waves of insects (Titanomyrma and Meganeura). The number of waves and the number of enemies per wave will increase based on the level of the Drepanosaurus. The Drepanosaurus will aid the player in killing the insects by using its chameleon-like tongue to immediately kill and eat the insects, increasing its taming bar. Its ability to use its tongue to kill/eat insects will be retained once tamed but at a slower rate of fire.

Habitat: Tropical Jungles, Treetops

Diet: Insectivore

Temperament: Passive, usually

Taming: this taming process is exactly like shadow mane taming, however instead of feeding it fish baskets, you must give it insect nets, they work just like the fish baskets, where insects such as drones, ants, meganeura, leeches, etc., that go into them are tamed. With each insect net that the drepanosarus eats, it will go invisible, you must enable tame tracker to find it and then wait for it to eat again

Abilities: This prehistoric chameleon is used as a primitive cloaking device, simply wear it on your shoulder and you will be able to cloak yourself similarly to the rock drake, when cloaked it will consume stamina, aggressive creatures won't notice you unless provoked, the cloaking will stop and cooldown for 1 minute once the survivor takes 20% damage while cloaked. When cloaked you won't be able to use any form of building or gear, it takes 1 second to fully cloak and 2 seconds to decloak
