This fierce Dino or is called the gigantoraptor. This is a large ferocious beast that will not attack unless provoked and will have no problem dealing with the creature or “human” that attacked it. The gigantoraptor can grow up to 11 feet in height and 26 feet long which is half the height and length of the T-Rex, This omnivorous, feathered creature is a pack Dino and gets alerted when lager carnivorous creatures are near bye. The gigantoraptor can be found anywhere from mountain ranges, forests, and desert oasis were they are primarily found. The way to tame these Dino’s is very unique saying that you can only tame it bye exterminating or louring all of the other gigantoraptor away to the point we’re there is no pack bonus left, Once that task is done you have to then drop its health down to fifty percent or lower health then you can nock it out with proper means of tranq’s.F52E8BF5-8E29-4A52-B2F0-71C633989EE1.thumb.jpeg.0243e685c2d1f3597c1e71dff9bfeeb5.jpeg

Wild:Larger than their closest relative, the Oviraptor. Gigantoraptor is the exact opposite of Oviraptor in many ways. Firstly, they are extremely protective over their nests as they will attack any creature that tries to steal their eggs.  Secondly, they are far from being cowardly as they would attack anything that would provoke them by pecking at them their beaks, as well as having one hell of a kick with clawed talons that are capable of even through pricing the toughest of armour, both natural, and metal. Thirdly, when they are injured or at the near brink of death, a sack underneath it’s neck will inflate before it would let out a mimicking call of most of the arks predators which would attract any near by carnivores to it’s location as they would attack the attacker while the Gigantoraptor retreats, thankfully it cannot mimic the calls of a Giganotosaurus, nor even any creatures larger than a Rex.
Domesticated:The only way to tame a Gigantoraptor is to simply earn it’s trust. I have heard that some survivors help a Gigantoraptor defend it’s nest and provide as much safety as possible while also treating it with some food. Once tamed, the Gigantoraptor becomes what I would like to call a “Three In One” mount. It’s can be trained to detect creatures near by as survivors would use the Gigantoraptor’s mimicking calls in order to lure a particular creature that ranges up to the size of a Rex over to an area where they could trap, and tame them. They are also quite efficient at incubating eggs as it would ensure that the egg is in the right temperature for incubation, no matter what temperature the environment around it is. The Gigantoraptor could also make a great combat mount as it’s powerful kicks, and speed make a tamed Gigantoraptor quite formidable in combat, especially since after I have seen tribes use them in combat against other tribes in order to use their kicks pierce through metal armour, and shields with ease. Three of those exact tasks are exactly what the Gigantoraptor is certainly great at fulfilling.

An idea I had for gigantoraptor was for it to be large and able to grab small creatures and humans with its feet, like a Secretary bird, and stomp them into the ground like the Secretary bird does to snakes.

I also had the idea of the far super jump, but I think it should be able to do an aerial stomp drop attack similiar to the rock drake, perhaps dismounting players or stunning nearby creatures.

Perhaps also have it like the maewing, and able to assist in raising babies or defending the nests with its threat display

 My idea is as follow:
I always wanted a creature that help with passive taming and i also always wanted a way to not let the babies that are not claimed yet die of hunger when we forget about them, when breeding creatures, incubating eggs and alike. And Gigantoraptor seems to have the stereotype of a creature that could be used for such a things.

First: I suggest making Gigantoraptor be able to display a "dance" while staying in place or following you and as long as he is close to you, you can easily tame creatures that are passive taming, this will make them be tamed faster and also make them not feel "fear" of you, when you are running, jumping or getting too close of them, also creatures like sinomacrops or Ictiossaurus will not get far from you once you start taming them, unless you attack them. (Also Diplo will not "attack" you) The dance display ability will have a big radius of effect.

Second: Gigantoraptor will have an ability that once activated will not allow wild and unclamed baby creatures die of hunger, and fertilzed eggs to disappear , no matter what. This is for people that forget that they have creatures gestating or eggs hatching and once they get there, the creature has died of hunger (Also, the unclaimed creature will stay in his baby stage forever if this abily is activated). Once the creature is claimed, their food stat will drop normaly, however Gigantoraptor can work as a feed trough, like Maewing, their maim difference is that maewing can carry the creatures and Gigantoraptor not.

Third: He will be rideable, have good stamina, will run fast, will be able to jump and will have the stats more or less like of the carno or a bit weaker in terms of strenght and resistance than an Allosaurus. In tems of farming directly he will not be good. (For balance purposes)

--
Taming: On the wild, He will sometimes be followed by babies and juveniles of the same species, more or less like a fowl followed by chick. If he has babies and juveniles close to him, he will be aggresive, if he is alone or only has adults close to him, he will be passive and will only attack if attacked. Since it will be like that, the player can tame him with two ways. First is the standarth knockout method, second is by dying your clothes with flamoyant custom colours, the five pieces of cloth! Once you are wearing clothes with customized colours he will have the option to pet him for time to time untill he is tamed.

The gigantoraptor is a very curious creature that i would love to see. It has very cool abilities and a very interesting taming method that i made for my idea.

Here's my idea:

-Wild-

They inhabit forests and rarely in redwood. They are very cautious, so if they detect a near player, they will attack it inmediately if the player don't use the camouflage suite. The male gigantoraptors are more colourful, sharing coloration with the cassowary. The female are more grey-brown colour.

-Taming metode-

If your are lucky enough, you will be able to see a big nest with a gigantoraptor, or not. If there is a gigantoraptor, there will be a fertilized egg. The egg obtention will depend if the gigantoraptor is female or male. If is a male, you will need to enter on its territory. Once entered, the male gigantoraptor will start to looking for you on the surroundings of the nest. If you have a tamed dino or more than 1 survivor, the gigantoraptor will detect you and try to kill you. If the gigantoraptor don't find you, you will be able to grab the egg. But, you should run for your life, because if the gigantoraptor do not see its egg, will enter in a rampage mode killing everything on its surroundings. But, with the female is simplier: you will need a small creature, that will ned to be covered with "Gigantoraptor Pheromones", item that you can obtain killing gigantoraptors. Once is covered with the pheromones, you will need to launch the small creature a bit near of the nest, momment that the female will try to see what is the creature you launched. Once the female is not in the nest, you will need to grab the egg and run, because the female will enter in a rampage mode killing everything she sees

-Once Tamed-

The gigantoraptor is a big creature, taller than a trex thanx to its neck. It has a medium quantity of life, and very cool uses.

1: The first, is a powerful punch with its claw, that causes bleeding. It kills humans with one hit if they are not wearing a tek suite

2: With its vocal, it can make creatures start to rampage, similar to yutyrannus, but the affected creatures, small and medium, will try to escape and attack survivors and structures if they need to.

3: The gigantoraptor can carry boxes and supply boxes with its arms, like the Exo-Mek

4: 4 persons can mount this big beast: 2 in its back, and 2 in its claws

5: This creature would be inmune to the normal traps (except sound and narcotic). The traps do not detect its movement, so they can pass traps without problem

-If survivors cover itself with the pheromone, the tamed gigantoraptor will be distracted in battles for the smell, being unable to attack, only being able to do the vocal ability

I hope you liked the idea. The gigantoraptor is a very fantastic creature, and i hope it can come to the game :)

Common name: Gigantoraptor
Species: Gigantoraptor strinkos
Time: Cretaceous Period
Diet: Omnivore
Temperament: Territorial females and aggressive males.

Related species: Gigantoraptor erlianensis, Info: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigantoraptor_erlianensis

This creature of slightly smaller dimensions than Tyrannosaurus Dominum, but with an obvious lower mass than the aforementioned species; they are extremely agile and fast rivaling the fastest creatures in ARK.
There are behavioral differences and dimorphisms between members of different sexes, males have a total aggressive character, besides having a plume, long and complex feathers on the tail and forearms, on their neck also hang a set of skin structures similar to those possessed by turkeys, on the other hand females lack all of the above and have a territorial character with respect to their nests that are always prowling.

They live in groups near their nesting areas in grasslands and deserts; when hunting they move in groups of 3 guided by an alpha.

The ability that gives them their name is the capacity of their shrill cries of chaos, different from alpha roars; a cry that disorients any medium or small creature and the unfortunate players, even those mounted on huge creatures, leaving them incapacitated and stripped of their mounts for a few moments. Everything points to the fact that only male alphas are capable of performing it to the fullest, as females have that limited ability, in .

The adult specimens are not tameable, however if you are willing to take the risk to have one in your army you only have to steal and incubate one of their eggs... something that is said to be simple... maybe Oviraptor can be mistaken as one of their offspring.

Domesticated adults of this species are docile and good traveling companions because of their mobility and speed, although they cannot carry too much weight... with a group of these you could do well in a battle against much more powerful predators or easily get rid of the players riding them.

The reckless roar is similar to that of a Balaeniceps rex, a modern bird. Something like this: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-O3esN06BQY

The Gigantoraptor is a part of the oviraptosaurian family as is the oviraptor which is already in the game. These nearly two ton dinosaurs were designed to eat fruit, small dinosaurs, and unfertilized eggs. Though the gigantoraptor's relation to eggs doesn't end here, a gigantoraptor embryo was found in Mongolia in 1994 in a large nest with 19 other eggs(the biggest dinosaur eggs ever found) also containing gigantoraptor embryos. These oviraptosaurs were thought to  be very good at nest guarding and in game could be used as a more realistic early game incubator instead of 13 standing torches or 6 fireplaces

Gigantoraptor Erlianensis was a large dinosaur that lived in Asia during the Late Cretaceous period.  In the same family as the Oviraptor, this overly-sized chicken was herbivorous by nature, unlike its egg-stealing smaller cousin.  Many of the fossil remains and depictions of Gigantoraptor show them sitting on nests to protect and incubate their eggs. Despite their feathered appearance, Gigantoraptor was too big for powered flight of course much like ostriches and emus today.

This dino has already been introduced in a mod called Additional Creatures 2: Wild Ark. However, I feel that the dino could have more utility asides from another fighting dino. The way I envision this dino is much like the maewing.  Not only is it the fastest creature in the game (glider), its also has a number of other abilities such as being able to produce different quality eggs, carry around babies with the saddle equipped and used as a baby feeding trough.

Gameplay

In the Wild

Found in desert and grassland environments,  Gigantoraptor are not found too far away from their nests (which spawn of course). Appearing in groups as big as four.  When a predator comes close to their location, the top priority is reach their nests over attacking.  While sitting on the nest, the Gigantoraptor can attack with their beak.  The remaining will attack the their threat, using their claws and feet to tear flesh.  They may also spread their feathered arms to intimidate their opponents.  Smaller creatures may flee.

Taming

Like with Wyverns, Rock Drakes and Deinonychus. The only way to tame a Gigantoraptor is to steal an egg from their nest.  Of course, if one of them is guarding the nest, it might be a tough fight unless you're lucky enough to steal it when the dino isn't around.  So how to get it?  The idea is to tempt the Gigantoraptor off the nest with food.  Seeing as how they are herbivores, food items such as berries, fruit, vegetables, or even a veggie cake might appeal to them.  Simply throwing a quantity of the item on the ground could get the dino to move long enough for you to snatch the egg. The more items the higher chance the dino will move.  Berries since they are easier to acquire will have you throwing more to move them.  You could just kill the Gigantoraptor and then steal the egg. but where's the fun in that?  If the developers can make it so that if you kill the Gigantoraptor sitting on the nest, it will destroy the egg too.  Making it more challenging to acquire.  But once you get the egg, you better run. That egg aggression will tear you a new one.

Once Tamed

The Gigantoraptor would be a great gatherer and fighter, similar to the ever-popular tickle chicken.  While it can harvest like the Therizinosaurus, it can not harvest fiber.  Instead, its attacks stronger and more varied;

The Primary attack would use their claws.  Slower than a Theriz but stronger.

The Secondary attack would use their feet.  Knocking back their opponent.

The Special attack would have apply an intimidation effect onto smaller or possibly medium-sized dinos.

Giving how the Gigantoraptor looks, the movement speed of the dino could be quite fast.  Not as fast as a Gallimimus but maybe faster them a T-Rex.

Nesting

This next part is inspired by the S+ Hatchery from the Structure Plus mod.  The unique ability of the Gigantoraptor would be to build a nest.  Simply put the materials into its inventory and you can craft a nest (whether you need the saddle to craft it or not is up to you).  Like a structure, you can place it down anywhere.  When you access the nest's options, you can assign a Gigantoraptor to it and order them to attend to the nest at your leisure.  While sitting on the nest, the gigantoraptor will go into turret mode. Attacking enemies that get into its reach with its beak. The same way it does in the wild. It will also collect fertilized eggs within range if ordered to and place them into the nest.  An auto egg collector for those without mods.  Especially if the player is on console.  The nest will incubate the eggs slower than an incubator but can hold twice as many eggs. Once the eggs are ready to hatch, the gigantoraptor will throw the babies out of the nest.

And that all I have so far.  If anyone has any other ideas about the Gigantoraptor asides from the ones I've presented, feel free to share them.

Gigantoraptor is a cousin of the overraptor (egg thief) it's massive size and long legs make a extremely fast runner which is excellent for scouts who like to cover long distance extremely fast.gigantoraptor_by_cisiopurple_dc17ybh-pre.thumb.jpg.4bd243f019c41b4df32e48fdb34f1a8c.jpg

Gigantoraptor though related to overraptor was not a egg eater like original thought thier beaks were more designed to crush giant seeds and nuts, also though gigantoraptor was not a egg thief it is thought the lived in small herds or flocks and we're very protective of their eggs,

Abilitys: gigantoraptor when placed near or set on wander near mating pairs of creatures just like the overraptor will cause the creatures to be more relaxed and lay eggs more frequently then a overraptors egg buff.

Gigantoraptor also has one more nifty ability so say goodbye to your small exp dino that takes years to follow you gigantoraptor has a loud call ability the grants dinos within a larger area to be granted a exp boost and with gigantoraptor massive size you can't loose it in a crowd like a certain unnamed dino.

Gigantoraptor final ability will be useful to those with out a egg incubator or teammates to constantly watch over your eggs as they incubate, gigantoraptor will have a nest nanny function where it will build a large nest in spot player tells it and players can put eggs in nest and they will intubate as gigantoraptor sits on them till the are ready to hatch at the players convince.dfwyrm.jpg.dc13810adba13533c852c5d7a11159cb.jpg

Taming: do to gigantoraptor skittish nature player must use gilly suit to passive tame gigantoraptor with seeds in their hot bar.

Nest nanny: incubates up to four large eggs, 5 medium eggs, 7 small eggs (note while in nest nanny mode gigantoraptor will ignore all whistle commands and attacking players or mobs unless attacked or ordered off nanny mode via command wheel

Gigantoraptor was a giant oviraptosaur dinosaur that lived during the late cretaceous period in Asia. It was the largest oviraptorosaur, with a length of aproximately 8 meters and a height of 3.5 meters.

Wild

Gigantoraptor is commonly seen roaming the redwoods. Its large size makes it feared by most predators, only being prayed on by the largest of carnivores, however gigantoraptor's giant claws makes it a difficult target to take down. The gigantoraptor is quite aggressive and if approached by a survivor, it will proceed to attack them.

Taming

To tame a gigantoraptor, the survivor must wait until the gigantoraptor starts flapping its arms. Then the survivor must sneak up behind it while wearing ghillie armour and then passively feed it an egg. Higher quality eggs make the taming speed go faster and result in a higher taming effectiveness. If the survivor provokes it while taming, the taming progress will reset.

Domesticated

The gigantoraptor can be ridden with a saddle, requiring hide, fibre and metal. This creature is an excellent gatherer of berries, fibre, wood and thatch. It can also run at incredible speeds, being able to outrun a theri.

Using its primary attack, the gigantoraptor performs a swipe attack, knocking back enemies partially and dealing mild torpor damage.

Its secondary attack involves the gigantoraptor stepping on its victim and pinning them to the floor with its foot while dealing damage. This would last for 7 seconds and affects creatures as large as allos.

Its final attack is a fear roar, similar to a yuty, scaring away small creatures and debuffing larger dinos.

What makes the gigantoraptor stand out is its ability to pick up wild dino eggs without causing them to aggro. In addition, if the gigantoraptor is near female dinos, it will naturally increase the quality of the egg that is laid, allowing survivors to make specific kibble, and while sitting down the gigantoraptor is able to provide the optimum conditions for fertilised eggs to hatch. Finally, while in wandering mode, the gigantoraptor passively produces a random quality of kibble in its inventory every 30 minutes.

Finally, the gigantoraptor is able to store eggs in its inventory for longer than fridges before the egg spoils.
