Do you enjoy Ark: Survival Evolved, but your tired of being griefed by bigger tribes on official servers? Have you thought about playing on a role play server? Previously known as Ark Survivalists years ago, Anthology RP is an Ark based role play community. We have dedicated staff members creating new stories for our community to experience through seasonal content releases. We just started Season 9 about a month ago. We are always looking for new members to add to our community and we'd love to have you. We are on a passworded server. A basic interview and detailed character will be needed to join our community. We try very hard to create a safe place where people can express themselves openly and not worry about griefers or losing everything day one. We are excited for this opportunity to share this seasons lore and we hope to see some new faces popping into our discord! A MICROPHONE IS REQUIRED. WE ARE 16+ COMMUNITY. Meanwhile, a large force of bandits role the land, threatening our existence. Will you help us rebuild Castle Hidana or will you start your own city? Come join us and find out! Here is our lore for this season:

Medieval Castle of Hidana

The year is 1827. We live in the magical Kingdom of Hidana, which is located on the isle of Ragnarok. Three large floating obelisks seem to radiate power and have been here for as long as anyone can remember. This power has brought all sorts of strange and magical creatures into this world. There are even rumors of a roaming wizard, who can wield great magic. For 15 years or so, we have lived and loved under the gentle rule of King Alemand. Hidana, the main castle of Ragnarok, sits atop a high mountain, near a huge bridge and chasm that divides the realm in two. Sitting at a crossroads, Hidana is of great importance as a trade route stop. King Alemand has passed away recently, most likely due to natural causes. He was 38 and died in his sleep. While the kingdom mourns his passing and prepares to elect a new king or queen, the realm is under Lord Cerwin's leadership, King Alemand's steward and advisor. Life is normally quite dreary so attending both a funeral and an election in the same month is quite eventful. King Alemand had a peaceful rule, always caring for his people, providing homes for the sick and elderly, and never charging taxes. He chose instead to implement a barter system, much to the delight of most people. He kept his enemies at bay with skilled leadership, a strong army, and cunning political prowess. With his passing, many subjects now question the stability of the realm. Most of his army has disbanded to return home, not having a king to serve directly. The king, having never married, had no direct descendants, so for the first time in 70 years, open elections will be held for the best two or three candidates. Lord Cerwin, having faithfully served the crown and the realm for 15 years, will preside over the whole affair, ensuring a smooth transition of power and authority. A new king or queen must be elected quickly. The new ruler will have total control over the land, including making laws, both good and bad. There are several issues requiring your immediate attention as well. Our current watering well has gone dry and we must choose a site for another. This terrible drought has additionally left the village food stores dangerously low as well, since the harvest was much smaller this year. Additionally, on the night of the King's passing, Spitfyre, his dragon, burned half the castle, reducing most of the shops and homes in the keep to ash. Unfortunately, most of the castle's inhabitants died in the resulting spreading fires. Thankfully, Spitfyre hasn't been seen since. The main bridge into town has been badly damaged by time and neglect. There are also rumors of bandits, said to be quite ruthless and vicious, and possibly have a foreign power supporting them. People even suggest dissenters right here in our capital city. Recent acts of vandalism have suggested that this foreign power might be planning to take over our lands and subjugate our people. Will the next ruler keep the peace and protect us from danger, or will they plunge the realm into war and chaos?

We look forward to some new faces!
