Too many electric eels/Ichty in the water

I want to tame angler fish , it spawns near my base (more or less on the middle of the map), but geez the electric eels are sooooooooo annoying they are everywhere and in numbers. That is not the case with Ragnarok, I can even swim off mount for quite awhile in Ragnarok ocean without worrying about eels.

Other than eels, Ichtyosaurus/dolphins are also too many, I was taming another high level ichty the other day and I got off my ichty, wild ichtys were swarming my ichty and blocking it, then came a megalodon, it munched my ichty till died because I couldn't make it follow me because blocked by wild ichtys.

The angler fish is also so timid here, they always run and cannot be lured away from the eels. All these problems combined are making it harder to tame a high level anything, because once I find one, either I get busy with killing eels/dolphins and then lose the anglerfish I am aiming for or cannot lure it to where I want it to be because it is so timid.

I do have Basilosaurus to deal with those eels but theyre just too many.

Perhaps throw some grenades in the water?

If that doesn't work I'd recommend just getting an army of basil's than placing structures underwater
