muxxy
I am apologizing beforehand if there are any forum mistakes, this is my first time ever making one. anyways onto my problem. I joined a server with a friend of mine and the owner joins and chats with us often. my friend shares his ark screen on discord when we call. I have noticed whenever the owner types in the server I cannot see what he is saying. its just not showing that he said anything. though I can see my friends chat, I'm guessing because we are in the same tribe. I am on Xbox one if anyone has anything that could help me see what the owner is saying so I can actually talk to him too, because of right now we have not said a word to each other because I am unable to see if he is saying anything. i do not want him to think I am ignoring him when I am playing by myself. hopefully I explained everything well so if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know. DirkInSA
There is a "local" chat in Ark that works only between people that are close to each other in game? Maybe your server owner is using that? Is the guy actually in game?
muxxy
The owner is in the game whenever he says anything, he can be right Infront of me when he types and i wont be able to see it. if you were referring to my friend by "guy", he is also in the game when the owner speaks. my friend can type back to him and I can see those chats but not the owners
GrumpyBear
The server owner could be using this command cheat ServerChatToPlayer <"PlayerName"> Sends a private message to the player associated with that name
